The best restaurants in Galway

31/12/2024: Muy, muy decepcionado. Visita anualmente @xmas pero nunca más. Gnocchi no comestible, hamburguesas secas, patatas fritas tan fuerte rebotó cuando trató de comer con un tenedor, la merluza era horrible. Platos muy desnudos, sin ensalada de acompañamiento en cualquier plato. Los ñoquis solo tenían un pequeño trozo de pan de ajo, las porciones eran extremadamente pequeñas. No demasiado ocupado así que no hay excusa. Quedó esperando años para ordenar y de nuevo para pagar. Dije que la comida no era buena, pero le dije que no le diré disculpas al chef. No volveré.

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

05/08/2025: The best iced matcha I've had on my whole trip. Costs a pretty penny though.

06/08/2025: This review is for the 3 bedroom apartment. One room in the apartment has its own bathroom and the other two share a bathroom in the entry way. Each room has their own key card but the apartment has a physical key to get into the entry way. Our room was okay, the furniture in there was very cheap and or missing. One end table was gone with the table lamp on the ground and the other was very rickety. You will also have to deal with the street noise throughout the night. The hotel itself was great, and breakfast was good. The staff working the hotel was great as well. We just expected more from the apartment especially at a hotel this nice.

13/08/2025: LONG AND HONEST REVIEW AHEAD. We did NOT end up dining here due to the below events. VERY unprofessional. Not sure if it was just the selection of staff when we stopped, but they were all sat outside on benches lounging about when we pulled in. Stopped here with the intention of grabbing a couple of sandwiches. We were looking through the menu online in the parking lot before heading inside, but not even 2 minutes after parking, some guy came recklessly barreling into the lot, honking at the female staff (who were all giggling and sticking up their middle fingers—clearly all friends.) He then proceeded to whip into the space next to me, swing his door open, and very obviously clip my side mirror. I was absolutely shocked, not only that this had all happened, but that he didn’t apologize or acknowledge that it happened. I got out of my car, checked the mirror, and noticed a very obvious mark. I told the gentleman (who was now sat outside with the girls on the benches smoking) and he came right over. Said he worked at a garage and could “take care of it real quick” for me. I was not comfortable with this as the car is a rental. I took down his name and phone number in case the rental agency has an issue. He did not apologize once, and after he went and sat back down, none of the staff seemed to care either. In fact, they were laughing the whole time. I’m glad I didn’t end up spending money here. Terrible lack of professionalism.

15/07/2025: Ordering online is a nightmare. Never have the correct order, then have to wait days for a reply on the wrong order. If you call them, they just tell you to ring the food delivery service. Even though the mistakes are made within the building. Just poor service. Got a meal worth over 22 euros, ended up getting just a burger meal and told to ask justeat. Terrible system.

24/06/2025: The new burger is really good. The Arch. It's the same formula as ever regarding decoration and seats. It work's and the food is consistent 👌

03/08/2025: First and foremost, the food was OK, nothing more. We had the "B&L Ultimate Experience" menu. The duck wings were quite good, but the steak was chewy, the rare cooking was actually raw and medium was rare. Chips were not homemade. Deserts were OK, but nothing extraordinary. We had a strong touristy vibe going there. Price was pretty high for what we had (110+ for 2 menus).

28/07/2025: Necesitábamos algo rápido para comer mientras estábamos recorriendo Galway y pasó por este lugar. Han preparado bocadillos, pero rápidamente fueron capaces de personalizar una deliciosa tostada para nosotros. IT fue excelente y una ganga estupenda a 5 euros.

01/07/2025: Experiencia muy decepcionante con un miembro del personal grosero confrontado y comida y bebidas insípidas y caras. Nunca volverá.

14/07/2025: Las fichas eran terribles, empapadas y tristes. El arroz frito estaba rancio. El Kunk Po está bien y el pollo al curry, pollo como goma. Muy pobre

30/06/2025: Service is pretty good, they give lots of water (no charges), let to use the bathroom and the guy that works here is pretty chill, food is also pretty good, it’s a must in Galway 🔥🙏

22/07/2025: Horrible experience! Horrible Manager… he huffed and said for God sake… shoved the fork in my face and so horrible. A lovely lady refunded me… by the way; a bettlesbits of n my salad 🫣

20/07/2025: Terrible food, katsu wrap was horrible with unreasoned chicken and curry sauce, would not give me a cup of water.

11/08/2025: Con‘s: Some wait staff help themselves to the rather modest breakfast buffet instead of refilling it. Dirty dishes remain on many tables for a long time. I wouldn't order breakfast again. Pro’s: Good sleeping accommodation in an industrial park.

15/10/2024: Lovely pub! The staff is really helpful and if you're looking for a place to do a group party or celebrate something with friends, I definitely recommend it. They have a separate area that its great for it.

27/09/2024: These haters can shut up. This place is great. Wonderful spot got a quiet pint away from the tourists and noise of city centre. We’re American and found it to be aces. Wonderful music on Wednesday nights. Friendly staff.
