14/05/2025: Got served stale and old chips for my garlic cheese chips order. It tasted metallic and stale. Would avoid getting chips here

20/05/2024: Visiting Galway from out of the country and stopped here - food was just ok. But, while here my 3 year old muttered to me the dreaded phrase “I need to poop”. Quickly ran up and asked if we could hop inside (despite it being closed off at the moment) since this was a bit of an emergency and the clock was officially ticking. The girl at the window said “sorry I can’t, I’ll get in trouble, but you can walk to the cathedral”. 5 or so minutes later after hustling to the cathedral, we get to the cathedral’s bathroom but a 3 year old can only hold it for so long and I was left to clean up quite a mess. I’d hope for a little more compassion next time.

17/05/2024: Very cute spot with quick service and okay coffee. Many sandwich and coffee selections. There’s outdoor seating too

24/04/2025: The food was good, coffee was good but €12.95 for a breakfast burrito is a bit on the steep side. Don't get me wrong it was decent and tasted good but i do think it is a little overpriced for what it is. The service in fairness was flawless and the man that served me couldn't have been nicer and helpful. I would recommend it and return but hopefully prices won't increase any further.

17/03/2025: Ordered online for collection. Was given collection time of 18.15pm Arrived at supermacs at 6.05pm as had another order to place . Wasn't served till 6.20pm. Placed order stood aside for another 15 minutes waiting . Was given order and then I asked for my order placed for collection too, the pizza hadn't even been made yet . At this stage I was too annoyed to wait for them to cook the pizza plus my other food was going cold. I just said give me 2 burger meals instead. I was given burnt chicken goujons as compensation to which were inedible. ☆☆☆☆ update☆☆☆☆ Was given a €20 courtesy voucher as an apology dealt with efficiently and promptly. My next order was perfect on using said voucher , food was fresh, Piping hot and delivered within minutes.

15/10/2024: Lovely pub! The staff is really helpful and if you're looking for a place to do a group party or celebrate something with friends, I definitely recommend it. They have a separate area that its great for it.

27/09/2024: These haters can shut up. This place is great. Wonderful spot got a quiet pint away from the tourists and noise of city centre. We’re American and found it to be aces. Wonderful music on Wednesday nights. Friendly staff.

20/03/2025: Los cafés se hacen uno por uno. Mi café llegó 10 minutos después que mis amigos. Pedí un reg latte, pero me trajeron uno helado. Tuve que esperar otros 5 minutos para un reg latte.

27/04/2025: All the standard coffeees plus nice/healthy bowls. Coffee is very nice. The staff though!! Everytime I go there I seem to get someone who's making their first coffee. Unnecessary queues down the path. I worked in baristas before. Staff aren't sufficiently trained. Place is always a mess. The service area, self service area and shelf beside it. Ground is always filthy. Definitely the most expensive take away coffee joints in the city, yet unwilling to pay for decent staff. Wish it was better. Only place around so they can do what they want I guess. Hope inside is better equipped.

14/12/2024: I really do not like leaving bad reviews, especially for local businesses, but I can’t get my head around last night. Went there for an annual Christmas dinner with friends, none of us had been there before. The lady serving had no clue whether the green beans “main” was vegan even though it should have been from reading the menu. A chef had to come out from the kitchen so we could double check. That’s fine. The olives came out first, they were really delicious. The mains came then, and I was just so disappointed. A green veg main, it did have different greens in it and some pomegranate seeds which was lovely, but it was swimming in soya sauce. I don’t like sweet stuff so I’m all about the salt, but I couldn’t even eat it. It was ridiculously salty. Costing the same as a meat dish is just ridiculous too at €16:50 / €16:00 is just crazy. We got a bottle of Cava €44, it was plonked on the table, no cool bucket or anything. And the table beside us was changed to seat 3 which meant the poor guys back was brushing off the side of our table and we had to ask him to stand up and move into the walkway by the door when we had to go to the bathroom as there was no other way out. Nobody came to check if our meal was okay or if we would like more drinks. The atmosphere was great, lovely Christmas feel, but at the prices they are charging for what you get, would never go back unfortunately. Still so hungry on leaving and downed a 2ltr bottle of water due to the salt when I got home.

20/05/2025: Overpriced. And not fresh. We picked up an almond croissant and a fruit scone at around 9:30am. The croissant was completely stale, an exterior shell similar to that of a piece of timber. The scone was also not fresh and dryer than Ghandi's flipflops. The items had clearly been sitting for some time, possibly days. At a glance, the other premade sandwiches, wraps etc appears to also be sitting for some time and were ridiculously overpriced. The coffee was fairly decent to be fully transparent but we will not be attending again.

05/04/2025: Trash. They missed my order and then said I ordered it an hour ago even though I had just ordered that and been waiting for a while. Just a bunch of idiots they don't even try. After I finally got my order my burger was all over the place. Made me lose appetite and the mood to even eat. It looked horrible I couldn't even eat it properly it just kept on falling apart. This is absolutely bullshit. Smells terrible too. I hope they fix this but if u want to go to McDonald's go somewhere else don't waste ur time and money here

13/03/2025: Had a caramel frappucino here and unfortunately it didn't taste nice!! There also isn't a toilet here. When I asked I was told You have to walk to the one on a different floor in the shopping centre or they also advised that I could walk to their other Starbucks elsewhere in galway. Will update this review if I go back.

31/05/2025: Food was great, as always. Never a single complaint about the food. Ingredients are fresh, tasty and reasonably priced…. somewhat…. Was very happy with my burrito. Staff were nice too, an no major complaints. Several things however bring this down. 1. They have gone cashless it seems, and I’m aware it happened a long time ago, but it just seems a bit mad, in a country where cash is legal tender, they refuse to take it. Granted they warn you before you order, but still, that doesn’t make up for it. 2. The place itself was in a tip. I didn’t visit at an overly busy time. There was no queue and maybe 2 other groups of people in the whole seating area, but yet they had no plates to give me. There was no additional sauces, the tables were full of left over food, dirt, spilt drinks and sauces. Little bit crazy to be fair as there was 4 staff behind the counter. One was told to go and clean and rushed out. I didn’t say a thing. I guess they noticed it eventually, or got bored of the chats.

02/04/2025: This hotel is a great location especially for the price. It fit our needs perfectly. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to the train station and the square, within walking distance to shops and Latin Quarter. We paid for the breakfast one morning and it was okay. Found other breakfasts we liked better for about the samw price and other days we just didn't need as much so we went to other cafes for smaller meals at a lower cost.

27/03/2025: Clean and respectable hotel in the heart of Galway city. The location doesn’t get better. Some of restaurant and bar staff need a bit of training in hospitality, not very accommodating or friendly.
