04/07/2026: Lovely people working here! Excellent service and great options for quick lunch!

03/06/2026: The food is lovely as was the server, but it's fairly miserable to sit in. A couple of broken machines down the back and all the health and safety booklets were just thrown on a table down the back, and it's very dusty. The place could with some decoration to brighten it up and a good dusting.

15/07/2026: I came in with my friend on a hot evening looking for something small we were greeted by an Indian man at first after waiting 10 minutes to be seating and no que he then gave us one menu and took another five minutes to bring the other menu to us, we looked at the menu and decided we wanted a toasted sandwich because we seen other people getting them and we were then greeted by this Indian women who was extremely ignorant and unprofessional she refused to let us order sandwiches when they were flying out the kitchen and a man beside us was having one she was extremely rude and has an attitude avoid this restaurant!!!! All the staff were standing around twiddling there thumbs Terrible staff with no manners if I could give it no stars I would !

08/08/2026: Had to stay outside due to it not being wheelchair accessible, for 2 burger, 1 plain chip and 2 small drinks it was over €30. The food was forgotten about after a 50 minute wait even though they weren’t that busy. The burgers were horrible, the bun tasted old and as if it was gluten free and hard. There was no apology when it was mentioned all the issues just “oh okay”. We went here because of the glowing reviews but it was genuinely the worst burger and service I’ve ever had in my life. The burger fell apart and the ratio of everything was horrible as it was mostly just bun. I’ll never return and it’s a place I’d tell others to avoid. I couldn’t eat my burger as it was making me feel sick immediately so it was a complete waste of money. I just ordered a cheese burger and can’t fathom how that was messed up so badly. The chips were like oven chips and so bland. I’d of rather of gave €30+ euro to a stranger then this place again. Disgusting.

03/08/2026: Worst burger place I've ever been to. It took an hour, the waitress was rude and refused to give us water, the fries were frozen, the burgers were tiny and not good, the price was ridiculously high, and there was no atmosphere.

14/07/2026: As McDonald's should be, I got my food in a minute without any problems.

10/07/2026: Absolutely disgraceful experience. This is by far the worst McDonald’s I have ever visited. My girlfriend paid almost €20 for a meal at the self-service kiosk. The machine accepted her payment, took the money from her bank account, and even sent the order to the kitchen, where it was prepared. However, the kiosk failed to print the receipt. Instead of checking their system or trying to help, the staff refused to give us the food that had already been cooked because we couldn’t show the receipt. They admitted the order had reached the kitchen but still insisted there was “nothing they could do.” The receipt didn’t appear in the app because there was no mobile signal inside the restaurant, yet the money had already been taken from her account. Their solution? Make us pay a second time for the same meal. As if that wasn’t bad enough, we then paid another €16 for a couple of burgers that were ridiculously small, dry, bland, and nowhere near worth the price. The food was poor, the portions were embarrassing, and the customer service was even worse. This entire situation was caused by their faulty kiosk, yet they took no responsibility whatsoever. We lost time, money, and were treated as if the problem was ours. There was no apology, no effort to investigate, and no attempt to resolve the issue fairly. Avoid this McDonald’s if you can. Terrible service, overpriced food, and zero respect for customers.

14/05/2026: Usually it’s our favourite place for morning coffee and toasted food. And staff are always great. But today service by man with moustache Deni (I’m not sure how it was spelled) didn’t say a word to us didn’t add the name and just left our food on the counter quietly didn’t even said what order is that, and also food was cold not toasted as asked. It’s my first negative experience here first time in 5 years of visiting this place.

15/03/2026: I’ve been a regular customer for a long time, but this is honestly the worst hot chocolate I’ve received from Starbucks. The cup looked messy and the drink presentation was very poor. This is not the standard I expect.

07/08/2026: Not enough people for providing service. One person doing all service, billing, order taking etc. Went on weekday with with children and friends and made wait for more than 50 min. The starters served at the end and missed order made at very beginning. Family came with elders also seemed leaving due to waiting so long. Customer time is also valuable. Hope management will look into the issue.

04/08/2026: Editing my review after few months. The place has gone down, smells oily when we enter. Ordered chicken kizhi parota the other day and when it arrived the meat looked not like chicken! Then asked the sever about it before eating it he confirmed that it’s chicken! Took a bite and it was red meat! Guess what I got served beef! Beef! Yes beef! Due to my religious Belief I am not allowed to eat it but they made me eat it! Never going back again! Big thumbs down 👎

17/11/2025: I'd like to point out that my review refers only to the Mocha Beans guesthouse, which is located above the bar. My room was very small, with a bulky closet. Luckily, I didn't have a large suitcase, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to open it. The mattress is old and sagging, with springs that hurt my back. There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom, and to figure out how to use the shower, I had to call the owner because I wasn't told there was a button outside the bathroom to activate it. There's essentially no reception, and you're given an access code for the main door, which is the same for the room. I texted the owner several times in the days leading up to my stay to ask if it was possible to check in at 11/11:30 in the morning instead of 2:00 PM. He never answered, and when I called him after arriving, he showed up, saying the room was still occupied and that I had to return at 2:00 PM. I told him about my messages and that I hadn't received a response, but he showed no interest. Once I returned at 2:00 PM, I had to wait on the stairs because the cleaning lady hadn't finished. I had to ask for a hairdryer because there wasn't one in the room. I wasn't provided with a shower mat, and I only had a face towel and a large one. I struggled to sleep that night because of the mattress, and in the morning I woke up around 6:00 AM (the only window in the room is on the ceiling and can't be opened because it's too high, and there's no curtain). For what I paid, I didn't receive good service, and even the lady who prepared the room seemed very cold; she didn't ask if I needed anything. The cleanliness was passable. The only advantage is that it's twenty minutes from the city center. I definitely won't be returning.

19/10/2025: There is no check in as such for this bedroom so I can't rate service really. The room itself is clean and comfortable and an adequate size but there is nowhere to store clothes. There isn't enough room for a wardrobe. We were in room number 4 and the shower room isnt exactly ensuite but almost. It's opposite the room on a tiny off side corridor only for room 4. The shower room is spotless nicely tiled and the shower is lovely. There is no plug for the basin. There's no hair dryer or iron. The rooms are above a cafe so I think breakfast should be included. It is an easy walk into the centre of Galway city so perfectly situated.

19/06/2026: We visited with a couple of friends and had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was full of flavour. The service was excellent throughout the evening – friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We all really enjoyed our meal and the overall atmosphere. If I’m back in Galway again, I would definitely return. Highly recommended! ❤️

27/05/2026: Wasn’t aware of this gem until I was passing through and was pleasantly surprised with the wide ranch of goods for sale. Plenty of pick and mix and other produce. Staff were friendly and helpful.

23/05/2026: Really fantastic little shop. Everything you need and it's all organic and locally sourced where possible. Plus their essentials pricing model is great for making good food more accessible. Fantastic friendly staff, I come here every week for years and I wouldn't have it any other way, I love this shop dearly!

16/06/2026: Had the tandoori sea bass and plain boiled rice. Loved every mouthful. I found the meal I could easily have everyday for rest of my life. Go and check out yourself

21/05/2026: I visited Galway for the day from Cork City and happened upon this wonderful café. I had the Cubano sandwich, paired with a small bottle of Brisa Merlot and a chilled San Pellegrino. Everything was exquisite — simple things done beautifully well. Upstairs, the view overlooking the main thoroughfare was the perfect finishing touch: sitting by the window, watching the world drift by, with the rhythm and charm of Galway unfolding below. A truly memorable little escape.

11/05/2026: Had a wonderful experience at McCambridge. The store has such a warm and inviting atmosphere and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Everyone was happy to chat, offer recommendations and make the experience feel personal and relaxed. The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious rich, smooth, and easily one of the best we’ve had. The whisky sampling was also a fantastic touch and made the visit even more enjoyable. It was a great way to try something new in such a comfortable and enjoyable setting. A lovely shop with amazing products, great service, and a genuinely pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit when in Galway.

03/04/2026: Came back here for the sake of nostalgia (I came here often as a student). Was pleased to find out that the chilli beef udon stir fry was just as amazing as I remember it to be lol xD Patient and friendly staff who helped my in-laws with their order. Highly recommend.

18/02/2026: This cafe sells stale food. Cakes are dreadful, coffee is lukewarm. Don’t bother visiting this place.

18/07/2026: Everything was great. A delicious fish stew for €20. And very good fish and chips for €15! Very cool atmosphere. Welcoming service. Excellent value for money. I recommend it.

18/07/2026: Cool place aesthetically but the service was horrible, the food was entirely hit or miss, steak was way way undercooked, and we were charged a service fee or tip that wasn’t included on the receipt or mentioned at all. Will never be dining here again and will recommend most people avoid this place when visiting Galway.
