The best restaurants in Galway

31/12/2024: Muy, muy decepcionado. Visita anualmente @xmas pero nunca más. Gnocchi no comestible, hamburguesas secas, patatas fritas tan fuerte rebotó cuando trató de comer con un tenedor, la merluza era horrible. Platos muy desnudos, sin ensalada de acompañamiento en cualquier plato. Los ñoquis solo tenían un pequeño trozo de pan de ajo, las porciones eran extremadamente pequeñas. No demasiado ocupado así que no hay excusa. Quedó esperando años para ordenar y de nuevo para pagar. Dije que la comida no era buena, pero le dije que no le diré disculpas al chef. No volveré.

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

04/07/2025: Soy un cliente fiel de Xian, pero después de la experiencia de hoy, fue decepcionante por decir lo menos. Mi comida tardó una hora en llegar, se equivocaron en mi pedido, el servicio fue lento, había pelos en mi pollo y me sentí mal del estómago después de eso. No volveré.

26/06/2025: Used to come here religiously in college for four years now went back recently and food is now over double the price and less then half the portion sizes. 13:95 for double meat burrito and double meat is less than a regular portion now. They have destroyed my favourite food in Galway honestly. I questioned the manager asking why a regular scoop of chilli is 1 euro but if you ask for extra it is now 2:90 EURO!! It’s three times extra. Absolutely scam there running now and the quality of chicken is awful. Manager was stand off ish and didn’t want to talk to me when I pointed out basic flaws in there pricing. Do not come to this restaurant unless they change there ways back to the golden burrito days of 2015 to 2020

25/06/2025: I have only visited Boojum Galway once, but it seriously left a mark (and a very happy food coma). I went for the rice bowl, all the flavour and none of the tortilla nap! It was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, big portions, and just the right kick. The staff were super friendly and made everything easy, even for a first-timer like me. If you're in Galway and even slightly hungry, Boojum should be on your list. I’ll definitely be back when I’m next in town, might even graduate to a burrito next time 😄

31/05/2025: Casual setting with immaculate food and amazing service Amanda our waitress so sweet and great craic, wed mentioned on the booking we were celebrating an anniversary and they’d treated us to a little surprise which was such a nice touch Honestly such good prices, service and location

15/07/2025: Ordering online is a nightmare. Never have the correct order, then have to wait days for a reply on the wrong order. If you call them, they just tell you to ring the food delivery service. Even though the mistakes are made within the building. Just poor service. Got a meal worth over 22 euros, ended up getting just a burger meal and told to ask justeat. Terrible system.

24/06/2025: The new burger is really good. The Arch. It's the same formula as ever regarding decoration and seats. It work's and the food is consistent 👌

24/06/2025: I had a lovely dinner here on Tuesday night with my family after happening across the restaurant on google. We ordered the salmon, risotto, pesto pasta, and some appetizers that were absolutely delicious. Our server Emma was a delight and we shared some wonderful conversation toward the end of our meal. We left satisfied and smiling, we’ll be back for more.

15/10/2024: Lovely pub! The staff is really helpful and if you're looking for a place to do a group party or celebrate something with friends, I definitely recommend it. They have a separate area that its great for it.

27/09/2024: These haters can shut up. This place is great. Wonderful spot got a quiet pint away from the tourists and noise of city centre. We’re American and found it to be aces. Wonderful music on Wednesday nights. Friendly staff.

02/04/2025: This hotel is a great location especially for the price. It fit our needs perfectly. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to the train station and the square, within walking distance to shops and Latin Quarter. We paid for the breakfast one morning and it was okay. Found other breakfasts we liked better for about the samw price and other days we just didn't need as much so we went to other cafes for smaller meals at a lower cost.

27/03/2025: Clean and respectable hotel in the heart of Galway city. The location doesn’t get better. Some of restaurant and bar staff need a bit of training in hospitality, not very accommodating or friendly.

30/06/2025: Service is pretty good, they give lots of water (no charges), let to use the bathroom and the guy that works here is pretty chill, food is also pretty good, it’s a must in Galway 🔥🙏

01/06/2025: Lovely gem of a place. I had the hot and sour soup minus the prawns and it was delicious. Followed on with the chicken schezuan and fried rice. Lovely dish. Rice was beautiful and schezuan itself was good...maybe not as good as that soup but will definitely be back here

03/07/2025: Absolutely amazing food. I ordered a 1/2 pounder, which was delicious along with a Gujan wrap and garlic,cheese chips. Everything was delicious, perfect, and exquisite. And relatively affordable price!!! Loved it. Thank you 🫡
