23/07/2025: I got Lunch Sandwich Special here yesterday for a small party in my house Sndwiches, wraps & rolls...different variety of each...all very fresh tasty...and all enjoyed by my guests!!!Most asked where I got them and had no problem passing on details... Would highly recommend

09/07/2025: Staff are always lovely, food and coffee are great and very reasonably priced in comparison to other establishments in the Blackrock area. Really good selection of sandwiches, almost too good though, hard to make up your mind 🤣

09/02/2026: Super kind and attentive staff. Booked 15 people for a surprise party for a friend. Outstanding service, staff made sure we have the best spot and arranged the seats for us so everyone can be close together and not in separate tables or apart. They also helped us putting candles on the cake, slicing and serving. Totally didn't expect such kindness, so thank you so much for hosting us! Also had the best ginger beer and good music, not too loud, awesome vibes. Highly recommend.

09/02/2026: I was here recently and I have to say that the service is poor quality, very late and sometimes grumpy waiters, I won't even talk about the food because the taco they served me was a pasta with cheddar and fries, which soon made my underwear dye brown.

04/02/2026: Nice bar with usually good bar staff. But watchout for south American bar boy with black dreadlocks and glasses. If you leave your drink on the bar unattended, when you return you will have a different drink in it's place and god only knows what he put in to it. It won't be what you originally ordered. ASK FOR ANGELA! Get bouncers and management to Check the cameras.

17/11/2025: Got a doner meat chips and a long black hair on top. I rang them and the man on the phone was very rude and was insisting it was my own hair to which I said I don’t have black hair. He sent out another doner meat chips and then rang me after I received it and said they will never deliver to my house again due to the complaint. Terrible attitude on staff and terrible food.

27/12/2025: My daughter & I visited the Quays bar today & had food that was reasonably good. Unfortunately the place was absolutely filthy, our shoes were sticking to the floor. Toilets were disgusting & absolutely filthy with no toilet roll & when we asked we were told there was none. I dread to think what the kitchen was like.

02/01/2026: Terrifying Security !!!! We chose this place for New Year’s Eve because we wanted to sit quietly with friends, have a few drinks, and chat. The atmosphere inside was lovely and I genuinely liked it. However, we were sitting outside while waiting for the rest of our friends to arrive. I ordered a beer, and when one of our friends arrived, we were chatting in our own language. At that point, the security guard outside told him that this was not a free house that it was his property, and that he could not sit there unless he was drinking alcohol. So our friend got up, ordered a drink, and we continued waiting and talking. One of our friends did not drink alcohol because he had to go to work later. Everyone else at the table already had drinks. Despite this, the security guard approached us and told him, “If you’re not going to drink, get out of here. You can’t sit here.” Our friend calmly explained that he wasn’t drinking because he was starting work, but the security guard rudely replied, “That’s not my problem. Get out of here, you can’t sit here.” When we questioned his behavior, he insisted he wasn’t being rude, claimed the bar was his property, and then told all of us to leave. As a result, we left without even finishing the drinks we had already ordered. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. We were simply a group of four friends who wanted to sit together, chat, and have a drink. Because of the security guard’s rude and discriminatory attitude, I will never return to this place.

21/12/2025: The bouncer Ger was incredibly rude to me and my friend. Wouldn’t want to repeat it. Wouldn’t recommend going here!

21/09/2025: Very unwelcoming staff. Food was sad and miserable. My pork roast was completely dried out, the rest of the food wasn't much better.

27/08/2025: Ate lunch here before flying out of Cork airport. We both ordered burgers. I noticed how quickly they came out and how fast other tables got their food too. I worked in hotels myself for years and that is not necessarily a good sign. The burgers themselves were ok but they seemed somewhat ready made. We both had upset stomachs by the evening time. I do not recommend. The staff and service were excellent. I can’t give more than 1 star because of the food issue.

16/12/2025: Very disappointing outcome to this place. I had high hopes given the name & reviews..... But what it appears is that the place has been taken over, kept the name but taken all the smoked food off the menu. Rather than sample what is on the menu (what appears to be a basic attempt at smoked/ pit food..... Without the smoked/ pit food) I took my business elsewhere to avoid further disappointment.

01/02/2026: The place itself is charming, very well maintained, and the staff were genuinely friendly. We ordered two glasses of wine, one from Chile and one from New Zealand. To my surprise (I’m usually not a fan of Chilean wine), both were really good, and the pours were generous. The waiter was lovely and even brought the bottle over so I could see the name of the wine. Zero complaints there. Also worth mentioning: in January, pints are €4.50, which is a great deal, even though we didn’t try them. I’m giving 3 stars because we came in mainly due to the advertised snack + pint until 9pm. We ordered the loaded fries with truffle and parmesan. As you can see in the photo, despite being a large plate, they’re barely “loaded” at all. They were essentially fries with some parmesan sprinkled on top. Tasty, yes, but calling them “loaded fries” feels misleading. When we asked for a bit more sauce (the one you see in the photo), we were told no because the kitchen was closed. I ended up speaking with the manager to explain that this didn’t feel fair, and it took him literally two minutes to get it — though not without first insisting again that the kitchen was closed and the chefs were already gone. Honestly, charging €9 for fries with a bit of cheese and a small pot of spiced mayo, and then debating over giving a bit more sauce, really detracted from the experience. We weren’t asking for anything to be cooked — just a simple gesture that would have made the experience much more pleasant. Overall, thank you for the service. I can’t say I wouldn’t recommend it — there are definitely good things about the place — but with so many options in Cork, it’s probably not somewhere we’d return to.

02/01/2026: Most expensive roll in Cork? I've been a customer of the deli here for a good 20 years, but I've found their prices and habits of overcharging have just gone crazy. Despite advertising prices for various rolls, no matter what you get in it, you will be charged the highest price. I've often got a 4-5 item roll, and you will still be charged for 8 items. I recently started to ask for the 8 items, out of principal, and now they are charging €7.50 for a breakfast roll. False advertising and overpriced. Insane.

02/02/2026: Got nearly 50 euro worth off food today, the chips and the chicken were so dry and greasy at the same time fare play, curry opened and spilt all over the bag ,taco fries tasted like it was cooking for the last week , last time I'll be eating at any Dino's

23/07/2025: I had haddock and it was not pinboned and when I was eating scales were coming directly in my mouth. It was not descaled as well and the quantity was not enough. Very bad experience with haddock. 1/4 and 1/2 pounders are nice.
