22/04/2026: Hotel is being renovated but this does not effect the overall experience. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Food was lovely. Location is great. Value for their packages is good too. I wish them all the best of success with the renovations, rooms were spacious and nice.

11/04/2026: Hotel is not cooperating for cancellation, as I cannot make it to them due to fuel protest. Really disappointed.

28/08/2025: Seafood chowder is delicious. Fish and chips excellent. We ate here several times and loved everything we tried.

02/08/2025: We were here quite early on a Friday evening. Folk still leaving work ahead of a bank holiday weekend. There were only a few customers in at the time. A lot of reserved tables for later. The furnishings are mainly wooden chairs set around square tables, not very inviting when the pub is quiet. The food was spot on. Good choice, reasonable prices for the area and very nice. Four of us had different meals, we were impressed by taste, portion size and service. Beer and cider choice is better than some.

13/04/2026: Have been with our kids and as we were provided with a table by the bar manager and only to be told it by the manager was residents only bear in mind this manager was a European ! Three people got tables afterwards we have been told and they confirmed they were not residents. It’s 2025 and racism is still and well alive. To the manager we will be seeing you in court !!! Plenty of hotels where we can spend our hard earned money with better service and would be glad to have our custom ! Update to the person that represents The Heights Hotel Killarney I’m after reading every review that currently on your lists and I can confirm that anyone who has left your hotel a negative review you have responded in a very unpleasant and unprofessional manner I would kindly recommend that you sit down and take some customer service steps in the right direction all the negative reviews cannot be wrong . I have never I’m seen a business especially a hotel which is meant to be first class customer service across the board respond In the manner to which you have done . Hopefully the owner might take some advice and let someone else in charge ! And last but not least your establishment has a record of racial profiling as my legal team have confirmed the same . I will let the 4.4 star rating speak for itself !

13/04/2026: Beautiful hotel, very clean, staff are very friendly.Liked, that you could fill up jugs of fliter water. Short taxi ride into the main town, will be coming back to visit, thank you would highly recommend.

23/04/2026: Room is great but you can hear the water from other rooms Additionally there was no flexibility about the cancellation even though the government did cancel the ceremony late. Customer service was not pleasant and not responsive

19/04/2026: Disappointing experience. Due to fuel protests and road closures, travel to Killarney became impractical, and my citizenship ceremony was cancelled. Despite explaining this in advance, the hotel offered no flexibility and declined any refund, stating they could not resell the room. What stood out was the lack of understanding in a situation clearly outside a guest’s control, especially when other hotels in Killarney handled similar cases more reasonably. Policies are expected, but so is basic fairness. Unfortunately, that was missing here.

25/07/2025: Food was good, but the portions rather small. The desert was a joke, we ordered the crumble and it was completely soggy and a tiny piece - absolutely not worth it. Service was good.

24/07/2025: Husband and I chose this pub while visiting Killarney. We love authentic Irish food so this place really hit the spot. When we walked in, we were told that they didn’t have any tables left and they were completely full. There were a couple seats at the bar thankfully so we asked if we could sit there and eat, she said yes. The two young guys behind the bar gave us some drinks quickly, waitress took our food order a few minutes later. We decided to share the mini potato cakes (€8.95), which were pretty much mashed potatoes mixed with chicken and bacon, and then covered in bread crumbs and fried. It was covered in a mushroom creme sauce which was really good, with a small salad on the side (if you can call it that, it was really a couple pieces of lettuce, a single grape tomato and a drizzle of dressing) My husband got the fish and chips (€17.70) which honestly was probably the best fish and chips he’s had so far during our trip. I was a little jealous of his food after I tried some of his. The fish was almost melt-in-your-mouth quality. Soooo good. I would go back just to eat that fish again. I got the spinach and ricotta ravioli (€20.95) which came with a tomato and basil crème sauce, some garlic bread, and a handful of arugula on top. The pasta itself tasted good (jealous of the fish!) but the garlic bread was so crispy (not burnt) that it was almost too hard to chew. The dish would have been fine without the ‘salad garnish’. The only thing I would point out is that obviously the pub is very busy, and it didn’t look like they had an ample amount of seating, but they must have turned away at least 20-30 people because the back of the pub was closed (due to a large party maybe?) and they just couldn’t find a place for those people to sit. So I guess we got there at just the right time? Whatever - I would still go back JUST for the fish and chips ❤️

24/04/2026: Treyvaud's was recommended to us as a bit of an unknown gem, and it truly delivered. The food was excellent, the service knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely come back again if I'm in town.
