07/02/2025: My partner and I went here last Saturday for dinner. I had rib eyed steak & my partner had the hake, both were "Specials". I had the Pavlova for dessert. The food was absolutely delicious. It was the nicest meal we've both had in a long time and we eat out a lot. The staff are super nice and there is a lovely atmosphere in this restaurant. You can tell that most of the diners are regulars from the interactions with the staff. We will most definitely be back. I've been recommending Butt Mullins to everyone all week. Keep up the great work 👍

28/01/2025: Mid week set menu - good value Starter and dessert were only OK. Seabass was really delicious. Service was excellent.

16/02/2025: Fabulous in every way! Stopped in on our way from Dublin to Kilkenny. Food was fabulous, service was great. Would definitely visit again.

12/02/2025: A little disappointing. Went here with friends at the weekend. The starters and desserts were lovely, though almost €20 for a prawn starter was very steep. The mains were disappointing. A tiny piece of fish on a risotto for one and when asked to change the risotto for potato it was a hardship. The best part of the meal were the cocktails we got to start.

06/02/2025: Went for lunch, I visited the restaurant many years ago and had fond memories of a wonderful meal and decided to try the place again. I had the slow cooked braised steak it was delicious for dessert Crème brulee. The atmosphere was buzzing the service excellent with super efficient friendly staff the food divine. I would recommend the restaurant for all occasions.

23/12/2024: Great pub, It's 5 years since I last posted, but this place has gotten even better. The staff are sublime at every level, the food too, simple proper food. Indeed last week I was with my two golf buddies and they had the bacon and cabbage with all trimmings.......fantastic place. And dancing in the bar too on a Sunday....be prepared for good food, great staff and dancing 🕺 😋

08/12/2024: Called in for an impromptu visit for Sunday lunch. Staff were very pleasant and we were seated immediately and given menus. Our drinks order was taken. We both opted for the gourmet beef burger and fries with a delicious pepper sauce. The burger was gorgeous as were the fries . The pepper sauce complimented the meal perfectly. For dessert I had lemon cheesecake and my partner had Christmas pudding. All in all a perfect lunch.

13/01/2025: Good food, good service, small and can be a bit cramped and noisy but otherwise an excellent spot in Kilcock for food.

18/01/2025: The minute we walked, we felt welcome. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Kyle went all out for us. He was lovely. We stayed in the accommodation there too. Top notch accommodation. Just three for three, we got food here, and it was a delicious spot as we continued to have a drink.

12/02/2025: Stayed here with friends on a Saturday night. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious.

18/05/2024: I was at the hangedmans restraunt today with my family. As I was sitting down having our dinner I over heard a horrendous conversation with the owner of the restraunt. The owner was shouting at a woman from what I understood was not her fault at all as someone with her had canceled a booking, the owner then went on to tell the woman to f***off and to leave. Another man then came up to tell the owner that this wasn’t right or talk to a woman like that, and his response to the man was f*** off aswell, totally inexcusable behaviour and should not shout and use vulgar language to a woman. I said it to him when paying for our bill that I would be leaving this review as I was disgusted with his behaviour. Do not come here unless you want to be shouted at or abused for no reason. The owner is a horrid man

07/02/2025: Came here with a group of 8 friends last week. The food and drink were delicious and the staff were very attentive. I got a vegan curry and it was lovely. It's really nice to get a decent vegan meal in a gastro pub :)

12/01/2025: A gorgeous cosy spot we've been to a couple of times. The food is great and the service is exceptional. Friendly, warm and efficient. Didn't feel rushed, made to feel super welcome even though we didn't book in advance either time. Highly recommend this fabulous spot, can't wait to go back.

25/01/2025: We went for a nice dinner with some friends. Good service and nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Table big enough to enjoy the dinner and have space. Food OK, nothing exceptional, the meet overcooked _ i suspect this is the local signature the overcooking of meet. Is not bad and is an interesting experience. Very good restaurant for a small town.

08/02/2025: Lovely hotel, in a great location with secure underground parking. The lobby and common areas are recently renovated to a high standard! Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable.

13/02/2025: Fantastic place highly recommend. Staff are really obliging and very experienced in the job they do. Food is very tasty and well presented. Will definitely be going back.

07/02/2025: Maynooth institution. Probably has the best open steak sandwich amongst the Maynooth pubs (though I had a not so great one recently). Gets very busy at weekends, but has made extensive use of outdoor space out back.
