03/11/2024: We ate here recently, a group of 8 people. From the moment we were welcomed at the door, we were extremely well looked after. Our server was superb...fantastic personality, and so attentive. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, but she's a huge asset to the restaurant. The food was very nice, and portion sizes were good. We'll definitely be back.

20/12/2024: My family and I went here for my birthday. The staff were excellent and the food is amazing!!! Definitely worth the price (~€20 for a main) we also got starters and desserts. Items in the pictures (as best as I can remember) - Black Forest cake - creme brulee + Americano - sticky toffee pudding - curry with chicken - pigs on the green - croquette - potato skins - bruschetta - kiwi sour mocktail

31/12/2024: Had a meal with my family today to end the year To say disappointing is an understatement Kids had wings which were bland The fish and chips which was supposed to be cod was pollock and the mushy peas skins were like nails The pasta was totally tasteless Complained to bar man at end having paid €110 his reaction did not know what to do Won’t return here not impressed

23/12/2024: Great pub, It's 5 years since I last posted, but this place has gotten even better. The staff are sublime at every level, the food too, simple proper food. Indeed last week I was with my two golf buddies and they had the bacon and cabbage with all trimmings.......fantastic place. And dancing in the bar too on a Sunday....be prepared for good food, great staff and dancing 🕺 😋

08/12/2024: Called in for an impromptu visit for Sunday lunch. Staff were very pleasant and we were seated immediately and given menus. Our drinks order was taken. We both opted for the gourmet beef burger and fries with a delicious pepper sauce. The burger was gorgeous as were the fries . The pepper sauce complimented the meal perfectly. For dessert I had lemon cheesecake and my partner had Christmas pudding. All in all a perfect lunch.

12/01/2025: Discovered this place a few years ago. Been back numerous times when passing to or from Dublin. Never disappoints. Amazing food, lovely staff, and very competitive prices for quality food. Highly recommend.

06/01/2025: Ended up having to stop unexpectedly because of a snowstorm and booked a modest room at the inn. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and QUIET! I ate at the Silken Thomas restaurant for dinner. The prices are slightly higher than most pub grub, but the food was delicious. The staff have been pleasant and helpful. I most definitely will recommend this inn and restaurants to others and hope to come back with my partner.

18/05/2024: I was at the hangedmans restraunt today with my family. As I was sitting down having our dinner I over heard a horrendous conversation with the owner of the restraunt. The owner was shouting at a woman from what I understood was not her fault at all as someone with her had canceled a booking, the owner then went on to tell the woman to f***off and to leave. Another man then came up to tell the owner that this wasn’t right or talk to a woman like that, and his response to the man was f*** off aswell, totally inexcusable behaviour and should not shout and use vulgar language to a woman. I said it to him when paying for our bill that I would be leaving this review as I was disgusted with his behaviour. Do not come here unless you want to be shouted at or abused for no reason. The owner is a horrid man

11/01/2025: 10/10 as always! My sister was home from Canada for Christmas and we had a fabulous family dinner in the Village Inn. As always the food and staff were amazing.

13/01/2025: Went in with my partner recently. The customer service was slow and very bad like headless chicken running around the place. The food was below average in quality don't know why people were raving on about this place. Was rudely asked by a staff member why we didn't eat the veg and then had the cheek to call my woman a liar when she gave him a answer. I will never go back to this restaurant mainly down to the customer service. ( This post was removed due to saying it was false claims, I do not post false claims and I am not part of any restaurant that is in competition to this place, this is 100% real account of what happened)

11/01/2025: The food was good and the service was excellent but could have done without flat screen tv. Really spoiled the atmosphere and a big distraction.

05/01/2025: The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday special! We rang ahead to notify them of my gluten and dairy allergy. The food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend in general but especially if you have allergens.
