26/06/2025: We went here for an early Father’s Day meal as it’s a long time favourite for my parents and I’ve never been. Staff were accommodating and helpful when booking on the phone she kindly fitted me in on a busy weekend.The food was delicious and such generous portions too, such a beautiful place right in the centre of the town. I’ll definitely be back

16/06/2025: For us - it's one of the best restaurant in Kildare, a must visit whenever we're in the area. Highly recommended ordering the potato skins, chicken wings, and liver paté - all great choices. Also not to forget the great local beer brewed here. Check out the beer platter if you're into a variety of craft beer!

23/06/2025: We had such a lovely experience at The Avenue that we ended up going two nights in a row. The weather was absolutely stunning both evenings, and it honestly felt like we were away on holidays — helped massively by how well we were looked after by the staff. A huge thank you to Monica, Luisa, and Stephanie in particular. They were amazing — so friendly and accommodating. Despite how busy it was, they managed to get us a table both nights, which we really appreciated. They created such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and their attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The food was delicious, the setting was perfect, and the whole place just had that buzzy but laid-back feel that’s hard to find. You can tell there’s a great team working behind the scenes. We left both evenings saying how glad we were to have gone — and how much we’re looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area (or even if you’re not — it’s worth the trip!).

19/06/2025: Visited here for a family (4) dinner and just loved it. Excellent menu, great beers, super staff and just all round lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend the Smoked fish risotto and the sticky toffee pudding 😋 Special shout out to Harry for a wonderful friendly welcome.

04/07/2025: Really lovely place to eat in the heart of Kildare town. Staff were incredibly friendly and easy going. Our table all enjoyed Thai dishes. The Thai red was so fragrant and tasty.

03/07/2025: Cookes is always a favourite place to ea. The menu options are varied, staff are all super great and friendly, and atmosphere is always enjoyable. It's a lovely spot for lunch and dinner. Never disappointed after a visit.

03/07/2025: Had a recent retirement function in the Ballymore Inn. From the first contact to make the booking to the service on the night, I could not fault it. The staff on the night were excellent and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend.

26/06/2025: Fabulous meal, very generous portions (I failed to finish mine). Was very busy when we arrived, but the staff made a point of telling us, and to be honest, service wasn't slow! Apparently, the Raspberry Bellini was especially nice!

18/06/2025: Great atmosphere. It is a modern pub with excellent service. Wonderful location.Secure parking space... The staff are great, friendly and cheerful. The seating arrangements are well-organized, and the food is first-class, with good quality and quantity at a reasonable price. It is highly recommended.

17/06/2025: Work in a residential care unit for people with autism, visit here very often & the staff could not be more personable and kind to the residents I care for. Yesterday was the definition of how helpful they are - staff always bring extra biscuits with tea, & yesterday they brought out desserts on the house! An excellent restaurant with the most sincere staff I've ever encountered

09/05/2025: Me and a few lads went into McMahons for some breakfast and Ian sorted us out. He was a great chap, really funny, looked after us well and did a crazy trick with my lucozade glass when he was serving it. Absolutely unreal, definitely be back 💪💪
