01/09/2026: Myself and my wife recently booked The Back Bar in The Ballymore Inn for the afters of our son's Christening. It was top class from start to finish. Not only was the organisation spot on from Sean but the level of service provided by Cait, Abbie and Aidan on the day was top notch. The finger food just like the food in general in The Ballymore Inn restaurant was excellent and all our guests spoke so highly of their experience on the day. Also a shout out to Paul who usually manages things in the restaurant for popping in to make sure everything was running smoothly. If your looking to book the Back Bar for an upcoming family function, I would highly recommend getting in touch with Sean and the team. You will not be disappointed.

17/08/2026: My husband and son stop here often when they are visiting grandad. I came with them this time and everyone was super excited, because 'You really need to eat something here, it's delicious!'. They were not wrong. The food is fantastic and the place itself small, but wonderful. When we were on our way home my husband mentioned 'This is my favorite spot to take my dad for lunch or dinner' and I can see why. Funny thing, my Father in law said the same before we left, 'My favorite little fancy restaurant in the area, I love going here'. They sell local artists paintings and the food is presented beautifully. It's kind of like they are creating memories for people and they do it well ♥ I ordered the superfoods pizza with goats cheese, shaved roasted sweet potatoes, walnuts and a side order of sweet potato chips. It was very tasty, so I forgot to take photos of the inside of the place! Can't wait to go back! Would 10/10 recommend.

04/06/2026: I can't say enough about our experience at Silken Thomas. The owners are clearly treating their staff well, because it shows in how the staff treat the clients. Everyone from Reception, to the Bar, to the Restaurant (for both dinner and breakfast), to the person who showed us to our room, had a smile on their face and looked happy to be there. We felt well taken care of and everything we ate was delicious. We both loved the location and the recent redo, especially the shower. Special shout out to the lovely room cleaners and management who went the extra-mile to not only reach out to me to let me know I'd left a t-shirt behind on the bed, but also posted it to me in Dublin. My offer to reimburse them for the postage fell on deaf ears. The t-shirt has an illustration of a dearly departed pet on it and means an enormous amount to me, so I'll never forget Silken Thomas's kindness. Aces from top to bottom.

25/08/2026: I unfortunately had to cancel out room for this weekend as I didn't realise it was adults only. I delt with the most kindest, polite and knowledgeable lady on the phone. She was so helpful she even found our family a new place stay for the weekend. I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, but you're a asset to Cunninghams, they're lucky to have you. Thank you for all your help today.

27/07/2026: Surprisingly great hotel right in the middle of town. First off, it's huge - much bigger and more interestingly laid out than you'd first think, with plush furnishings and decor in the bar, restaurant and common areas. Rooms were massive and well equipped, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant stay with free underground parking and a lovely welcome from the staff

27/06/2026: The Bistro at Lawlors of Naas served us the worst food ever tonight. Asked for Chips without salt they came out pickled. Beef dish was disgusting beef tasted weird, big lump of cabbage and all served in a puddle of bisto. Left our complaint with duty manager who also couldn't care less as he was just trying to get through the night with undertrained, understaffed, servers. Will never return here again

17/09/2026: A big group of us had dinner here and the waiting staff where very friendly and had the banter with us. When it came to payment the waiting staff had gone home or where gone elsewhere in the building( bill was over €1000) a very abrupt, rude and unhelpful woman put everyone's bill together, when she was not asked to - refused to reverse it , after being asked repeatedly and then made us sort out everyone's meal individually ourselves - then made mistakes on the card machine as people paid - taking the wrong amounts and updating the bill incorrectly as she went, I have to say she was possibly the most ignorant person i have met in hospitality. Safe to say I won't be going in here again.

31/08/2026: If I could leave a 0 star review, I would, the staff is so rude, and unwelcoming. Back in June, I went there and saw that they treated one of their waitresses, such a kind person, so rudely, I hope she does not work there anymore, it is the year of 2026 let's treat each other with kindness, if you support service workers, I would not come here.

02/08/2026: Very welcoming, lady told us how odering worked and the most popular dishes. Food was beautiful and the lemonde was so refreshing.

22/07/2026: A very charming family business with excellent quality and friendly service. Definitely recommended in Castledermot – well worth a detour! We came to Castledermot from Duckett Grove to see the Roundtower and the Abbey.
