12/11/2025: My daughter, Khristina, who lives in this town, thinks this is the best restaurant in Navan. Based on her experience, I completely agree. The fact that you need to book a table in advance also speaks volumes. The atmosphere isn't just cozy, it's family-like, and even the sheer number of customers didn't detract from that. There were couples and numerous groups of people of all ages. My heart was set on a rack, and it was superb! I made the risky decision to pair it with shrimp. Many people believe that seafood shouldn't be paired with meat. But, as my experience at Zucchini showed, such notions are the deep-seated misconceptions of gastronomic fanatics. The family treated themselves to a selection of delicacies, among which I'd especially like to highlight the duck, which we usually know by its Peking version. But this restaurant far surpassed all Chinese traditionalists, offering tender, large, and juicy pieces of meat, elegantly accompanied by modest side dishes that didn't distract from the headliner. To avoid making the review too cloying, I sigh that the selection could have included a wider selection of Irish beers, and not just the lone, undisputed Guinness. And now a toast: to the health of this restaurant's chef!

11/11/2025: Food was really good here. Service was quick and professional. Wait staff had good knowledge of meals. I'd say a small size restaurant but decorated lovely and tables are not on top of each other. We'll definitely be back as we wanted everything on the menu :)

20/11/2025: An absolutely stunning little spot hiding in plain sight. It is seldom I can eat from anywhere not at home and taste that the food was made with love & care. Their chef even somehow made eating Garlic Cheese Chips new & exciting! Considering the present economy, their food is priced with impeccable fairness & their selection of dishes in terms of variety is second to none. Please, always tip the servers, the lush atmosphere here is invoked thanks to service that would befit royalty.

03/01/2026: This restaurant is superb. We've visited many times and the food is consistently outstanding, matched only by the wonderfully warm, welcoming, and friendly staff. Each course is served promptly and piping hot. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Thanks to everyone involved both front of house and behind the scenes. Slane and its surrounding areas are lucky to have such a little gem on their doorstep.

30/12/2025: Accidentally came across this place on a drive and stopped in for lunch. Loved it!!! Food was delicious. Well worth a visit

21/12/2025: We arrived at 7.30 without reservation and we got a table after 10 mins. Food and service excellent and very reasonably priced

09/11/2025: For visitors to Navan, I'll clarify that the establishment has two areas: the pub proper and a separate restaurant. The former looks simple and suggests that patrons are there for a drink (and why else?). The restaurant is a contrasting experience, perfectly suited for families with children. The food is quite decent, so if you're looking for a simple meal without touching any alcohol, the establishment offers that option as well. In the restaurant area, the only clue that The Round O Bar is a pub is the few beer taps on the bar. The menu isn't particularly specific, offering an international, but most importantly, delicious selection of dishes. I ordered a Viennese burger and was pleased. My companions weren't disappointed either, despite some initial skepticism from one of them. Incidentally, we also drank beer.

03/01/2026: We had a wonderful experience at The Station House recently. This restaurant is superb. We arrived on a cold winter evening to a welcoming fire, and the experience only improved from there. This is your traditional high-end restaurant, with immaculate table linen, antique salt and pepper shakers, and beautiful silverware. The food is the the star of the show - and that is saying a lot given the standard of this restaurant - cooked to perfection and piping hot when served, which seems to be a dying trend in restaurants of late. The food was served promptly, and the staff could not have been more welcoming or friendly. Thank you to all involved, both front of house and behind the scenes; it is not easy to establish a venue of this standard, but you struck the perfect cord with The Station House.

01/01/2026: Had a meal here on New Year’s Day. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience due to the fact that the restaurant was absolutely freezing. Customers were all wearing coats we should have known . After getting our starter I queried this with our server who was a very pleasant girl & she told us that the heating was broken. We should have left after the starter but we stayed food was just ok stir fry which was actually swimming in sauce. Mentioned our dissatisfaction with the cold to the girl on reception when paying the bill she apologised we weren’t offered any discount . It is unacceptable to open a restaurant in those conditions when the temperature outside is 5 degrees . Management need to have a good think about the decision to open & not have the cop on to get a couple of heaters from somewhere & plug them in . Couldn’t wait to get back to the car to put the heating on .

19/10/2025: Great spot, had the lamb shank was delicious, desert was so nice aswell, with a party of 6, not one of us had a bad meal! Will defo be back! Tiny wee bit cramped-space wise but the food makes up for that! Great variety on the menu

07/11/2025: The Thai food takeaway is lovely however the portions have git smaller and the price higher so much so that we've just stop buying as it's not worth it. Can take a good while to collect after ordering too.
