15/02/2025: Our absolute favourite restaurant to eat in Navan. The staff, food and ambience is out of this world. I have good allergies which the cater for every time.

03/01/2025: The staff were so friendly and welcoming even though we arrived without a booking. The restaurant was very busy, which is usually a good sign. The vegan food on the evening menu was delicious. The only thing I wasn't mad about was the Vegan Sticky Toffee Pudding, but that might just come down to personal taste. My non-vegan companion had no complaints about their food.

08/01/2025: We stayed in this little gem of a hotel the weekend before Xmas.We were a party of 4 and from the moment we arrived it was like stepping into a winter wonderland.We were warmly greeted at reception by Suzanne and her colleague Carmel and after check in were led into the bar for Tea,Coffee and delicious scones.As we were booked in for the tasting menu we were asked to meet again in the bar for a cocktail before dinner which was simply sublime.Suzanne one of the owners gave us a lovely history of how her family obtained The Station House.A gorgeous freshly cooked breakfast next morning was the perfect ending to the best break away we’ve had in years.The attention to detail in every aspect was perfect ..quite simply a beautiful family run hotel❤️

06/01/2025: We go to this Hotel as a family from time to time. We had booked for New Years Day for the 2pm sitting. I noticed that there were a number of new staff members compared to our last visit. When we entered the Hotel we were left waiting as one lady was on the phone and the other just walking about. Eventually I had to approach the lady and inform her we were booked in for dinner at 2pm. She then checked and informed us that out table was ready. We were brought to the table and seated. Menus were then given to us. I noticed that the menus had no dates or made no reference to a New Years Day menu, in fact I felt it was the same exact menu as last year. We made our choices and one of the waitresses took our order. After some time starters came and they were fine, later the main courses came. We assumed the main course plates had all we were going to get as there were some very small portions of veg on each plate. We talked about this but continued to eat the dinner. We were 5 Adults and two children. Three of us had finished and two just about finished when two dishes of vegetables arrived. We could not believe the huge delay and said it to the girl. She just said sorry. When we were finished a male asked if everything was OK. We commented on not getting any veg or potatoes with the meal. He stated that the kitchen was under pressure and had forgotten to re heat the vegetables. I thought this was a very strange comment to make, re heat veg. I asked if the manager "Colin" was working and I was told he had finished up on Christmas Eve which I was very surprised to hear. Colin was bubbly, hugely friendly, professional and excellent at his job, I could see already the gap in service his departure had left. When I booked the dinner some months earlier I had to pay a deposit of €20 a head, this came to €150. When we were finished My son said he was paying the bill which he did. I asked him on the way out of the Hotel had they removed the deposit from the bill, he said no, he then had to go back to reception to get this matter sorted. I thought this was very bad form. When we were leaving no member of staff said thank you, safe home, nothing. I thought in general the Station House has gone down a lot from out last visits and sadly based on our poor experiences this New Years Day, we will not be returning. Barry Family

11/01/2025: Catered our staff Christmas Party on 11/01/2025, served by Leah. Always a really pleasant experience in Fifty/Fifty! Food is always impeccable and the serving sizes are really reasonable for the cost! Cocktails are also bang on!

08/02/2025: Gave this place and go and was not disappointed. The food was incredible and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The background music set a great atmosphere without being too loud so we were able to talk during dinner. Highly recommended!

06/02/2025: The Round O is a long time favourite for our family. Well established and excellently run with everything you need from a quick pitstop to a relaxing outing. Easy access, good parking, friendly efficient staff, cosy atmosphere and lovely food. Always reliable and enjoyable!

20/01/2025: Shaws is a long established premises in the town village of Summerhill. Well maintained and ran premises, food is top notch, huge amount of parking space.

14/01/2025: At 5pm I had roast chicken and vegetables. The chicken must have spent all day under a heat lamp as it was dry and leathery. The squash was overcooked, carrot cooked and the parsnip crunchy. Cost: £16.50. There was no pride at all taken in the preparation of this food - it's time to train the person responsible for cooking the meals at this pub. Update: Following my review in December I was invited to and I spoke with the manager Noel. He is Shaws new manager and he was committed to addressing issues raised. As I live in England I was unable to accept the invitation to eat there again. But my sister and brother did return and they both enjoyed their meals. So, we'll done Noel and Shaws. Thank you for hearing my complaint.

02/02/2025: Food us basic and cheerful nothing too exotic but presented well. Service is excellent and the staff are courtious and helpful. You can exit straight on to the beach for a lovely walk.

27/12/2024: Bit quiet as a pub but lovely food, had the fillet on the stone and, another time, fish and chips, both very good. Not really a pub just for drinking though they do put sports on but without sound. Decent Guinness. Lovely staff, unlike Mulvanys.
