12/11/2025: My daughter, Khristina, who lives in this town, thinks this is the best restaurant in Navan. Based on her experience, I completely agree. The fact that you need to book a table in advance also speaks volumes. The atmosphere isn't just cozy, it's family-like, and even the sheer number of customers didn't detract from that. There were couples and numerous groups of people of all ages. My heart was set on a rack, and it was superb! I made the risky decision to pair it with shrimp. Many people believe that seafood shouldn't be paired with meat. But, as my experience at Zucchini showed, such notions are the deep-seated misconceptions of gastronomic fanatics. The family treated themselves to a selection of delicacies, among which I'd especially like to highlight the duck, which we usually know by its Peking version. But this restaurant far surpassed all Chinese traditionalists, offering tender, large, and juicy pieces of meat, elegantly accompanied by modest side dishes that didn't distract from the headliner. To avoid making the review too cloying, I sigh that the selection could have included a wider selection of Irish beers, and not just the lone, undisputed Guinness. And now a toast: to the health of this restaurant's chef!

11/11/2025: Food was really good here. Service was quick and professional. Wait staff had good knowledge of meals. I'd say a small size restaurant but decorated lovely and tables are not on top of each other. We'll definitely be back as we wanted everything on the menu :)

07/11/2025: If you're wary of the line of people waiting to enter the café, consider it a compliment to your choice. Indeed, in its own way, this is the best establishment in Navan; I couldn't say that for all of Ireland. From the delicate (and I mean that!) dishes to the warm, welcoming hostess. The brunch here is incredible! Plus, the coffee is truly genuine and original. It's definitely the best in Navan. And I haven't encountered anything even close to this in Dublin. And trust my guide to Greece: we categorically refuse to interact with the outside world without coffee. Therefore, we know a thing or two about this invigorating drink. Let's get back to the food: poached eggs, also known as Benedict (not Cumberbatch), are available in a variety of variations, even with mushrooms. I chose the salmon version and it seems I made the right choice. But when her daughter's order arrived, it was clear he'd won this culinary race. The Olympionik combined tender, simmering meat, infused with the aroma of spices and the music of exotic lands. Tears of envy flowed, and mouths watered with the urge to "let me try it." Once again, I was convinced how Irish cuisine, despite its dramatic proximity, contrasts with English cuisine. I recommend it to everyone, and see you again!

21/10/2025: Absolutely incredible food, bags of flavour, really friendly staff, a must if you're in the area. I'd highly recommend the spatchcock chicken and seafood linguine. We were fortunate enough to get a table after a short wait with no booking, but it's popular, and I think we may have been lucky, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you're able to.

28/10/2025: The hatchet bar and restaurant on the outskirts of the county Dublin an meath boarder... The food is amazing and good quality well worth the money... The staff are very nice and pleasant to the customers .... There is a very spacious beer garden and plenty of parking to the back .... I would highly recommend the hatchet for a bit to eat if you are in the area or passing through.....

12/11/2025: Had lunch in Shaws yesterday as we had an appointment at the local Vets. Fabulous Menu, very tasty food, lovely Staff and a very reasonable bill. Would highly recommend Shaws.

09/11/2025: For visitors to Navan, I'll clarify that the establishment has two areas: the pub proper and a separate restaurant. The former looks simple and suggests that patrons are there for a drink (and why else?). The restaurant is a contrasting experience, perfectly suited for families with children. The food is quite decent, so if you're looking for a simple meal without touching any alcohol, the establishment offers that option as well. In the restaurant area, the only clue that The Round O Bar is a pub is the few beer taps on the bar. The menu isn't particularly specific, offering an international, but most importantly, delicious selection of dishes. I ordered a Viennese burger and was pleased. My companions weren't disappointed either, despite some initial skepticism from one of them. Incidentally, we also drank beer.

05/09/2025: Went here for lunch randomly on a weekday, the grounds are nice enough. Decor is very dated, menu limited. Asked what the soup of the day was and the waiter didn’t know. Asked for a glass of water and the waiter smashed it all over the floor (accidentally, not in a fit of rage 🤩). He never came back to tell me what the soup was, so I got up and left. I’ll never know what the soup of the day was……🤭. Avoid.

11/10/2025: Perfect bar for all ages. Large smoking area upstairs with cocktail bar. Another bar with love music and downstairs has a more relaxed atmosphere. Definitely returning soon

05/10/2025: Had a birthday party at the Central this weekend. As always the staff were wonderful. The food was fantastic and the cake made in house was so good. We would highly recommend

19/10/2025: Great spot, had the lamb shank was delicious, desert was so nice aswell, with a party of 6, not one of us had a bad meal! Will defo be back! Tiny wee bit cramped-space wise but the food makes up for that! Great variety on the menu

10/11/2025: I had big expectations of this place & the food met them all. Everything was unbelievable. But somehow more impressive than the amazing food, is the amazing staff. From the second we got in, the staff we're on it. They set clear expectations of how long the food will take to get to the table & in the most casual friendly non-invasive manor. When they came to ask if everything is ok, it wasn't in the typical month full of food awkward moment fashion. We had 4 babys with us from 2 years old to two months old, & the first thing the gentleman taking our order did was, as ask the simple question, would you like us to look after the kids first? This is the nicest kindest sort of recognition and understanding from a restaurant. They had the babies fed & then brought out what was an 11/10 feast for us. Thank you for making our day.

07/11/2025: The Thai food takeaway is lovely however the portions have git smaller and the price higher so much so that we've just stop buying as it's not worth it. Can take a good while to collect after ordering too.
