06/01/2025: Always amazing food in Zucchinis. Can never fault it. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We're lucky to have such a high quality restaurant at our doorstep.

31/12/2024: I love this place! We have been here almost a year ago and were happy with the excellent service, amazing food and such a polite professional staff with a fabulous sense of humour. The same was the last time we visited the best place to eat in Navan. A million thanks 💕

03/01/2025: The staff were so friendly and welcoming even though we arrived without a booking. The restaurant was very busy, which is usually a good sign. The vegan food on the evening menu was delicious. The only thing I wasn't mad about was the Vegan Sticky Toffee Pudding, but that might just come down to personal taste. My non-vegan companion had no complaints about their food.

08/01/2025: We stayed in this little gem of a hotel the weekend before Xmas.We were a party of 4 and from the moment we arrived it was like stepping into a winter wonderland.We were warmly greeted at reception by Suzanne and her colleague Carmel and after check in were led into the bar for Tea,Coffee and delicious scones.As we were booked in for the tasting menu we were asked to meet again in the bar for a cocktail before dinner which was simply sublime.Suzanne one of the owners gave us a lovely history of how her family obtained The Station House.A gorgeous freshly cooked breakfast next morning was the perfect ending to the best break away we’ve had in years.The attention to detail in every aspect was perfect ..quite simply a beautiful family run hotel❤️

06/01/2025: We go to this Hotel as a family from time to time. We had booked for New Years Day for the 2pm sitting. I noticed that there were a number of new staff members compared to our last visit. When we entered the Hotel we were left waiting as one lady was on the phone and the other just walking about. Eventually I had to approach the lady and inform her we were booked in for dinner at 2pm. She then checked and informed us that out table was ready. We were brought to the table and seated. Menus were then given to us. I noticed that the menus had no dates or made no reference to a New Years Day menu, in fact I felt it was the same exact menu as last year. We made our choices and one of the waitresses took our order. After some time starters came and they were fine, later the main courses came. We assumed the main course plates had all we were going to get as there were some very small portions of veg on each plate. We talked about this but continued to eat the dinner. We were 5 Adults and two children. Three of us had finished and two just about finished when two dishes of vegetables arrived. We could not believe the huge delay and said it to the girl. She just said sorry. When we were finished a male asked if everything was OK. We commented on not getting any veg or potatoes with the meal. He stated that the kitchen was under pressure and had forgotten to re heat the vegetables. I thought this was a very strange comment to make, re heat veg. I asked if the manager "Colin" was working and I was told he had finished up on Christmas Eve which I was very surprised to hear. Colin was bubbly, hugely friendly, professional and excellent at his job, I could see already the gap in service his departure had left. When I booked the dinner some months earlier I had to pay a deposit of €20 a head, this came to €150. When we were finished My son said he was paying the bill which he did. I asked him on the way out of the Hotel had they removed the deposit from the bill, he said no, he then had to go back to reception to get this matter sorted. I thought this was very bad form. When we were leaving no member of staff said thank you, safe home, nothing. I thought in general the Station House has gone down a lot from out last visits and sadly based on our poor experiences this New Years Day, we will not be returning. Barry Family

24/12/2024: Lovely staff, prompt service we had a great table where we could enjoy the atmosphere and have good conversation, yummy well presented food. We came to visit the Boyne Valley as a pre Christmas break. Would definitely visit again.

15/12/2024: Great meal extremely good value, went on a recommendation as my daughter is gluten free . 50 euro per head for really good food and drink. I recommend the duck wings

24/12/2024: I've eaten here twice now and it's been fantastic each time. The service is great, food has arrived well timed and very good quality, cocktails are wonderful. I only wish they stayed open a little later!!

21/12/2024: Service was quite slow and advertised cocktails they didn't offer. Staff were friendly and the food was good.

04/01/2025: Came here early during the Christmas period, place soon filled up. Been a while since id been here and menu hadnt changed much. Food is a good standard, pizzas are probably the least strongest dish on the menu all the rest is very good. No festive additions to the menu which i was hoping for. Upon leaving i noticed that other tables had a second menu which actually was a Christmas menu, i mentioned it to the staff member who served us who then shrugged their shoulders when i mentioned that they never showed us the seperate Christmas menu. That annoyed me but too late then.

30/12/2024: Had a few very pleasant pints in the bar before we headed into the restaurant. The staff were very polite , friendly and helpful. The food was 1st class. Excellent experience

14/01/2025: Always a good night in here. Food is amazing and always tastes fresh, good prices and accommodating to kids as well.

01/12/2024: Fabulous place , lovely & welcoming staff. Cosy atmosphere & very clean. Food is unreal. Crab claws and venison perfectly cooked. Looking forward to going back. 🫶🏽❣️

14/11/2024: Im sorry but this restaurant deserves a Michelin star, it was the best meal I’ve had in a long time and prices are amazing. I’m so happy I booked in.

14/01/2025: At 5pm I had roast chicken and vegetables. The chicken must have spent all day under a heat lamp as it was dry and leathery. The squash was overcooked, carrot cooked and the parsnip crunchy. Cost: £16.50. There was no pride at all taken in the preparation of this food - it's time to train the person responsible for cooking the meals at this pub. Update: Following my review in December I was invited to and I spoke with the manager Noel. He is Shaws new manager and he was committed to addressing issues raised. As I live in England I was unable to accept the invitation to eat there again. But my sister and brother did return and they both enjoyed their meals. So, we'll done Noel and Shaws. Thank you for hearing my complaint.

22/12/2024: Food was not great made so many mistakes with my food some was cold and extremely over priced... Bought a breakfast coffee and can of coke and it came to €24

15/12/2024: Try the mince pies 🥧 with custard and ice cream, truly delicious. The staff are so helpful and courteous. I would recommend it 100 %. Great value for home cooked food.

27/12/2024: Bit quiet as a pub but lovely food, had the fillet on the stone and, another time, fish and chips, both very good. Not really a pub just for drinking though they do put sports on but without sound. Decent Guinness. Lovely staff, unlike Mulvanys.

01/01/2025: Lovely country gastro pub about halfway between Navan and Kells. Great food and service. It was quiet when I was there for an early lunch. Lots of parking. Good for a hassle free lunch or dinner.

29/12/2024: Called into the tankard to grab a baby bowl for my son, apparently it's not possible to pay extra to get a slice of meat added to the bowl. Then after 25 minute's I was served raw vegetables. They couldn't even serve the bowl with gravy as requested. For reference I've attached a picture. This is what €6.50 will get you for your little one. Won't be returning.

23/12/2024: My favourite local, great atmosphere, one of the best pints of guinness in navan. Frankly the staff alone make it an easy choice to become a regular. Most of the bar has sufficient reading light as well (minor point most people wouldnt care about but worth a mention).

22/12/2024: Only had drinks but they were great. Tried to carry more than I probable could of handled from bar and immediately server came up and helped me take drinks to table. Great smoking area . Great bar with areas to suit all. Great mix of young and old. Really enjoyable place to be.
