16/11/2025: Love dropping in the few times a year we pass Nenagh to buy some GF treats for our daughter. Have not come across a cafe like it for Coeliacs in Ireland and to top it off, the baking is really top class. Love it.

05/12/2025: Group of 4 visiting locally and chanced in. Sunday afternoon. Warm welcome, lovely Guinness. We appreciated the original interior.
1 Burger and 3 different roast dinners. All happy! Very tasty, good portions, well priced, nice service.
Unfortunately had no room for dessert! Would recommend.
12/10/2025: Fun experience talking to the owner Jasper. He was full of stories and had no problem sitting down and telling us about being a 5th generation bar owner/undertaker. He also listened and gave us further suggestions for where to go after we left. Food was good too. Would definitely go back!

25/11/2025: Stopped in as a halfway point on a 4 hour journey for a stretch of the legs and a bite to eat. We were made feel welcome the minute we walked in. We didnt catch the barmaids name but she couldnt do enough for us. She noticed I was watching a game on my phone and put it straight on the tv for me,served up thr finest pint of guinness Ive had outside my local, told us where the bathrooms and smoking area were in case we needed them, and chatted in a friendly manner throughout. She's a credit to the place. A friendly "hello" from the local customers was also nice. Food was super tasty and came in hugely generous portions. Steak sandwich is beautiful! Pricing is fantastic value. Will return for sure
18/10/2025: Day 1 of our 2025 Irish getaway: we received a warm welcome.
We ate very well, it was truly generous! €80, including four drinks.

25/06/2025: Never in my 52 years on this planet have I ever experienced a genuine traditional Irish pub with fabulous musician for a trad session on Tuesday night. From the owner to the whiskey drinking bar man and musicians. Love you all. Had the time of my life.

30/11/2025: TJ Ryan Traditional Irish Pub was a fantastic experience. The service was amazing, friendly, welcoming, and really added to the atmosphere. The Irish coffee with Jameson they served us was one of the best we’ve had in Ireland, and we’ve visited quite a few pubs by now. Absolutely deserving of five stars!

27/11/2025: Amy and her team are fantastic, whether you ring in your order and collect or order at the counter you get serviced quickly and don't have to wait more than 10mins even when it busy, and it can be busy because of it's popularity. Outstanding Chicken and the chips if you like crispy delicious lard cook chips these are amazing (hate those cheap oily soggy chips in some places) definitely one of my favourite takeaways.

huge and the service simply fantastic. The host and waitress were amazing and contributed to a wonderful pub experience, the best in years for me.
If you are in Nenagh, I highly recommend stopping by for some food and/or a drink. Loved it.
05/12/2025: Tables where filthy and the place cold. Prices are also ridiculously expensive for basic fried pub food. Bartender came to our table, saw the dirt, grease and dried ketchup on our table, then walked away. We got up and left. What an overpriced dump!

11/01/2026: While ordering at the till, just asked question about vegetarian burger it its soya pat inside or filled with vegetables, answer : " i dont know" Politely asked to ask someone in the kitchen, manager came back saying " i have no idea, if you want go check allergens list"
I guess simple question as that should be answered easily, or atleast to show "manager" skill to atleast help finding out it its soya pat or pat filled with vegetables.

09/12/2025: When u walk in you are greeted as if u were an old friend. The restaurant is large and airy lots of seating. They are good at accommodating small groups(12ish) with a reservation. There is a wide selection between the menu and specials board
12/10/2025: I will start off by saying food is ok and most of the staff are polite and friendly especially a curly haired waitress. However, an older woman with a bob hairstyle let them down with a bang, we were there for Sunday lunch and from the moment we walked in we were berated and treated like second class citizens. I am a care staff in a home for adults with intellectual disabilities so when we go out for lunch, each meal has to be paid for individually. As we are repeat customers this fact is known by staff before we even sit down to eat and although the bill came to nearly €150 we were very rudely told that in future to ring ahead as they are very busy. I was shocked as this establishment advertise themselves as being open to walk ins but apparently that doesn’t extend to us. Needless to say we won’t be returning.
