27/02/2025: Firstly the very warm welcome from Cliodhna was lovely, she gave us a seat straight away but it was quite near the door and we asked had she another table and without hesitation we were moved futher inside beside a lovely warm fire. The food was fabulous a starter of prawns and chicken wings beautifully cooked. We both
opted for the Venison steaked which we ordered medium rare and it was cooked perfectly.
Great pints of Guiness and a nice wine list.
Totally recommend this place to visit and thanks for the great hospitality.

21/02/2025: Spoke to Lavina on the phone to book a table , she was just super to speak to , and on the night we had Clíonadh serve us another super person ,and the food was brilliant .....we will be back .

Attentive service and a great view on the way to Mother Hubbards from the Motorway, the Rock of Cashel in the distance makes the short drive spectacular!

08/03/2025: This is a lovely and cosy restaurant, and a fantastic open fire 🔥, service is great and very attentive staff . Food is lovely . I would go just to sit next to the fire. Great desserts and vegetarian choices as well
23/02/2025: Menu looked good but food was average. However I would have given a higher rating except I checked before ordering if the scampi was fresh or frozen. Was told it was fresh. But it clearly was not fresh. Thick breadcrumb with a watery mess inside! Not good. I asked the waitress to double check with chef again at the end. And she again said it was fresh. Very disappointing.

08/10/2024: We stopped in for a pint ( or two) before dinner and loved the pub atmosphere and the friendly service. The guest house we were staying in had recommended this pub and were spot on.

16/12/2024: Awful. I wanted better for them but nope. The staff were nice, but the soup I was served up was just Campbell's soup watered down.
If it was "pub grub," you could say something, but these are high end prices for shit on a slate, effectively. Incredible, really. I hope no one goes here for a meal, please bypass it.

15/02/2025: Had a few afternoon drinks and a few of us had lunch nice friendly staff even tough we were a bit loud at times with our laughing but will go back again in November when we are in the area again you have been warned in advance 🤣.
09/02/2025: Just been here staff nice although probably worst beef dinner by far i had ever had 🤮! Straight from microwave a tint over gravy beef and Yorkshire burnt to a crisp beef like a foot ball definitely rubbish for me🤢👎🏼

We enjoyed watching the rugby match with drinks and a lovely surprise the owner brought us out sandwiches (which you never see anymore!!!) Fab warm fire and nice locals.. Looking forward to our next visit 👌

14/09/2024: Sold us gift vouchers day before they closed permanently, never told us yet took our money , absolutely disgraceful behaviour shame on owner . Closed without any information and hasn’t reopened, tried using vouchers in their other establishments but they won’t accept them Con artists at the finest
