The best restaurantsof irish in Tipperary

16/11/2025: Love dropping in the few times a year we pass Nenagh to buy some GF treats for our daughter. Have not come across a cafe like it for Coeliacs in Ireland and to top it off, the baking is really top class. Love it.

20/08/2025: Went for dinner on a few occasions and I could not fault it. Amazing food, I would recommend the beef. Staff are nice and helpful. Great for the whole family.

14/08/2025: I dine here very often. The food is very good but the menu doesn't change and there are rarely specials. Service is excellent.

13/09/2025: Menu outdated, I picked the lasagne because the menu didn’t appeal to me and the lamb shank I’ve had twice before I wasn’t happy with. The steak was way overpriced so I couldn’t choose that… The Lasagne was served in a shallow enamel dish (like the old butter dishes), portions too small for Priceline attached. What I thought was really terrible and insulting, I was asked if I’d like chips or salad with the lasagne? Makes no sense at all, of course you’d want both for the price! When it came, there was very few chips and a measly bit of salad! I also found a napkin on the plate under the food, I was gathering chips and salad on the fork when it peered out at me. Thank god I copped it! My wife had a vegan or vegetarian bruschetta…. I mean 1 slice of bread for €16. It’s not Gordon Ramsey and actually I’ve eaten in the ivy in London and had bigger portions. Absolutely insulting prices for what we got. The menu is basic and not very appealing. Also a hotel selling burgers for €20 when you can get a burger anywhere in Cashel the same quality for a lot cheaper makes it a sham. Take off the same old items from the menu (burgers, lamb shank etc) served for years and update with more creative, vibrant dishes worthy of the high prices yer charging. Big disappointment for our anniversary evening.

17/08/2025: Dropped in for some late lunch and managed to get an outside seat as beautiful afternoon. Excellent service. Food perfect as always.

05/12/2025: Group of 4 visiting locally and chanced in. Sunday afternoon. Warm welcome, lovely Guinness. We appreciated the original interior. 1 Burger and 3 different roast dinners. All happy! Very tasty, good portions, well priced, nice service. Unfortunately had no room for dessert! Would recommend.

12/10/2025: Fun experience talking to the owner Jasper. He was full of stories and had no problem sitting down and telling us about being a 5th generation bar owner/undertaker. He also listened and gave us further suggestions for where to go after we left. Food was good too. Would definitely go back!

25/06/2025: Never in my 52 years on this planet have I ever experienced a genuine traditional Irish pub with fabulous musician for a trad session on Tuesday night. From the owner to the whiskey drinking bar man and musicians. Love you all. Had the time of my life. Thanks Sarah for the lift home... Gerard & Jenny.

01/01/2026: Fab food and service today, as usual. The team is really exceptional, every one of them has a smile on their face. Thanks in particular to Faith who gave my mom a good giggle!
