11/11/2025: I can't comment on the hotel itself, but we came to Bailey Bar on the recommendation of Timmy from Sean's Bar, and we were so glad we did!
The welcome from a funny waitress was perfect, and we had a wonderful meal. I ate one of the best hamburgers of my life, carefully homemade (and thanks again to the waitress for putting up with my fussy refusal of any greens in my burger 🤣).
The place is cozy and feels almost like home.
Don't hesitate to stop by if you're in the area.
24/10/2025: Stopped in for lunch and ordered the cottage pie. It was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

06/02/2026: Very hit and miss.... food is nice but lazy week day staff let's it down , that big guy in the black jacket is a waste of space and very unprofessional.. took my order, didn't leave the order slip out and proceeded to wander round talking crap to other staff who apparently had nothing to do either, I was on a lunch break so the delay in getting 1 wrap really annoyed me . He is either related to the owner or there for free as I don't know how he gets away with it .
10/12/2025: Really good takeaway. Usual supermacs offering. Deli counter also- often a better option than supermacs. No seating is only down side

03/11/2025: The girl who took the order was very polite, attentive, tactful, and patient. The order was processed quickly, but it felt like it was being done by an apprentice. It was disappointing. We won't be ordering anything from here next time we're in Athlone.

05/01/2026: The worst place ever to eat , the food was not hot and well cook and the staff is not friendly as well , we ordered delivery food is very cold and chips and soft drinks is missing and i call them the owner has no manners and tell us dont ever order or come to our restaurant , the worst ever restaurant we had the food

22/07/2025: Expérience agréable pour un déjeuner à 6. De bon sandwiches, bien que le pain mériterait de gagner en qualité, et de très bonnes pâtisseries. Beaucoup de choix, le tout pour un prix correct.
22/07/2025: Lovely spot in the middle of the town for a coffee pick me up and a slice of cake or bun. It’s v busy but had quite a lot of seating. My son loves the Cornish pasties which make for a lovely breakfast or lunch on the campsite. Coffee is good

27/11/2024: I stayed at the Radisson Blu for 11 nights for work and so visited the Restaurant every morning for breakfast. The ladies running the bistro did everything they could day in and day out to make sure it was always the best experience. The food is great and most importantly the staff really gave us the best start to the day!
Definitely pay them a visit! :)
