04/03/2024: ***UPDATE as of 01/03/2024. Sadly, Manifesto has closed it’s doors*** Today, we had a party of 8 come in for dinner. 2 of our members are also gluten free. Service was courteous and fast. Food was outstanding. My partner who has been eating gluten free for more than 20 years says the gluten free crust is one of the best she has ever eaten. Thank you Manifesto for making it a wonderful night for us!

15/02/2024: Disappointing! We used to love going to Manifesto for special celebrations such as birthdays, Valentine’s Day, anniversaries etc., was one of our favourite restaurants in Rathmines since we moved here 6 years ago. Today, we were dissapointed to see that the menu only offers 3 pasta and just pizzas. Such a great wine menu, but nothing to enjoy it with. It used to be a place to go for fine dining plates, sophisticated flavours but not anymore. Also the service could be better.. the waitress looked angry, didn’t ask if we want any drinks, we kinda had to “chase” her for drinks and for a desert menu. Safe to say we won’t be returning there.

29/03/2024: When I came to the restaurant about two weeks ago at approximately 8.15 p.m, I was refused service as the lady at the door said the kitchen was closed. Having been a customer at the restaurant for years, I have never had such an experience. The said member of staff was incredibly rude and very impatient.

07/04/2024: How did we only discover this place today?! It's been there for 9 years. Well, better late than never. Had a lovely lunch there today. Excellent chicken burgers! Its modern, lovely set up is very comfortable, and it's spotlessly clean too. Will definitely be back.

06/05/2024: I am a bit surprised to read so many enthusiastic reviews. We had been in Basil many years ago and enjoyed it. We thought to go there again for a quick bite, preferring it over another good option based on memory and reviews. We found the place to have no clear identity. There are at least 3 different styles of decorations. There is one room that is not clear if it's a warehouse or what. The bathroom is quite essential, so to say. The pizza was not bad but it felt like something bought in a supermarket. The dough must have pressed with a machine losing all the charm and texture of being stretched by hand. The ingredients were not flavorsome (even if the buffalo mozzarella tasted like buffalo mozzarella, which is not to be taken for granted). The drink options are very limited, with only 4 soft drinks available.

19/03/2024: The carvery is second to none! Lots of very enthusiastic staff on for St Patrick's Day. Great atmosphere for football match also with several screens.

19/03/2024: Lovely place for food and drinks! As a tourist, it felt more local and real. There are many screens playing sports etc. The food was amazing! I got the fish& chips and a Guinness and paid 25€. All the main courses started at the price of 16€ and they all looked good. Service was fast and efficient. I'd 100% recommend :)

22/03/2024: Beautiful, relaxing decor and nice warm atmosphere. Service prompt, professional and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and good quality reasonable priced wine menu. Highly recommend 👌

19/03/2024: We had a party for 20 people in this restaurant. We wanted to allow our guests to try more Italian cuisine, so we ordered a starter as shared plates. However, we ordered a bit too much and there were still 4 big pates left of the meat and cheese mix. The "take home" option seemed a good idea. So after saying goodbye to our guests, we came over to the counter to pay the bill and to remind them about the "take-home" option. However, waiters claimed all the food had been trashed. Most of the restaurants ask whether you want to take your food home so this seemed a bit unprofessional of them. Besides, we did check about this option when booking the place and their answer was "no problem at all". Somewhat disappointing.

04/04/2024: would just like to say that the family and I went to Ristorante Rossini yesterday for Easter Sunday lunch and as always they never fail to always put on the best .... Kate with the BEST expresso martini EVER *and I would know 😊) and Torre with his usual meet and greet at the front door _ the staff were buzzing -atmosphere elelectric , everyone on their A game ....only one missing was the duchess AKA Trish ... seriously folks can't recommend Rossini 's enough!!!

01/04/2024: Surprisingly spacious eatery with a wide selection of foods. It was a bit humid, but other than that it was great! Will go back soon I'm sure.

24/03/2024: Girlfriend found a hair in her food, and service was slow, especially for drinks. Otherwise a good experience.

30/03/2024: The bill was writen on the notebook paper, we did not get receipt, so we don't know what was the actual price of wine, because it wasn't on the menu.

24/03/2024: The food was okay. Service is fast. Some of the Italian speaking waiters are not very friendly though, even on the border of being rude. This is a bit puzzling, considering Italians are generally quite warm people.

15/02/2024: A charming Italian restaurant situated in the alley behind the HQ Pub (Darby) in Ballincollig. Very attentive & friendly staff serving a wide variety of excellent vfm food & drink. Diners will not be disappointed coming to this venue, deffo looking forward to my next visit...

19/03/2024: Short summary: the absolute best culinary experience we had on our trip to Ireland. In detail: The restaurant is beautifully located, right on the harbor with a great view over the sea. The decor is cozy and fits the style of the store, everything still faces the sea view, 5/5. But the most important thing is the food. The boss and owner personally gave us his recommendations and respect, the man knows exactly what he is talking about. No ready-made ingredients are used, everything from pasta to sauces and marinades is freshly prepared from the best ingredients. The interpretation of Italian classics is something special even for connoisseurs of Mediterranean cuisine: they manage to present the traditional dishes in a new and exciting way with a wink, which was 100% convincing. 5/5 Special recommendation: the Chicken Liver Plate Crostini and the Pasta Tagliatelle alla Ragu. The service was attentive but not intrusive and very friendly with good drink recommendations. 5/5 Overall a flawless 6 star experience, if it weren't so far away we would be there every week.

04/04/2024: We had a fabulous meal here last week. We ordered bruschetta, spaghetti carbonara and lasagne with chips and chocolate cake and meringue sundae for dessert. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious from beginning to end. And our waitress Rain was so helpful and friendly.
