The best restaurantsof italian in Cork

18/03/2025: Business as usual no changes far I know, they doing well when it’s a lot of restaurants closing all over the city of cork but Gallo & Galleti is not new on this kind of business food is they nature almost natural, they are In business for a good while and year after year they been achieving they goals congratulations and cork city need places like this one when service and food are good, people keep coming back for more.

03/04/2025: I you go to Franciscan Well for a beer (which I highly recommend) you gotta step out back and try one of Pompeii’s Pizzas. I don’t know if it’s the wood fire oven, a secret recipe or maybe just because you’re in Ireland but it’s some damn good pizza. Couldn’t decide which to get so as I normally do, I asked the pizza man for his recommendation. Nduja, yea that’s the one. Little bit of spice or kick to it. Sitting in Ireland drinking my Rebel Red and eating my wood fire oven pizza…… chit man, life is good. Give it a whirl and tell them the bald headed American sent ya!

01/04/2025: Get the foccacia! Really soft and tasty. Tiramisu was awesome too. Great service- friendly, efficient

31/03/2025: Stellar service. Spectacular little spot. Small, friendly, attentive. Delicious food. Very tasty. Seafood special yummy. Very small mussels and langoustines. but great fun if you like that. All round fabulous!

14/03/2025: We stopped in here because the ambience looked amazing. We had such a great time!! The pizza, thin crust great toppings - just like Napoli!…. the salad- the tiramisu !! Wow… service from the staff was all outstanding. Italian music playing in the background ambience are wonderful! Robert and Alessandro waited on us and made our experience memorable. Would highly recommend!

19/01/2025: Had my mom's birthday served slop starter was good but served un editable food for mains it was literally cantonllie with cheese but full of water had to send it back it that's what they served me cnt eat anything in there left hungry I have never left an Italian restaurant hungry we asked for extra bread no and we wanted to pay for it

12/04/2025: Very disappointing experience. The food was beautiful and the chefs are obviously working hard but the service was particularly bad. Servers were rude and dismissive. We were rushed to order, no pleasantries which was made even more obvious when we overheard how animated and helpful one waiter was to a large group. When we asked for something the waiter muttered something pretended he didn’t hear and walked off. We weren’t checked in with at all. It was a very awkward experience considering the price of the food, it’s a pity because the food was genuinely enjoyable but the service was enough to make us not want to return.

08/04/2025: Made the mistake of looking at reviews online before coming here, it meant we already had our pizzas eyed up and particularly the breadsticks, it all amounted to a lot of food but as the nice lady serving us said we can have the leftovers for breakfast. The breadsticks were totes amaze and is definitely worth getting if you head this way. The pizzas were brilliant, cooked to perfection, I ordered the carnivore pizza which came with black pudding so I was a very full boy pretty soon. The girlfriend ordered the Emilia and wouldn’t let me try her pizza which means it must have been good. Quite a small establishment but the guys there made us feel very welcome and insisted we move to a bigger table to feel more comfortable
