La Caverna

Dublin
24/01/2026: Went here for my birthday and the atmosphere is unreal, I would recommend sitting downstairs for the full experience. The food was a perfect fine dining experience imo. I had the lasagne, followed by the chocolate brownie cake & sorbet. The waiter presented me a rose and a glass of prosecco, will definitely come back
10/01/2026: Dawid and Dina were Fantastic , they were friendly and made our experience lovely

Paulie's Pizza

Dublin
17/01/2026: Wow! What a let down. What started off as a lovely warm reception turned into a nightmareish ordeal. Can't fault the pizzas they were 10/10. How we were treated as paying customers I will never forget..10 minutes after our order our pizzas were slapped down in front of us..20 minutes later asked if we wanted dessert, we rejected the desserts as we had half a bottle of wine to get through. 10minutes later the bill was shoved in our faces and we were told we can relax for 15mins but must leave. On the button the bar boy came out grabbed our bottle of wine and asked us to hurry up we need to clear the table and poured the wine on the table missing the glass. No apology , picked up the glass and continued to pour while telling us to drink quickly the next guests are waiting..the restaurant was not full..nobody was waiting..and another waiter came over and ushed us out . 1.5 hours is all you're allowed here apparently. If seated upstairs be aware that the staff do not respect the customers as they roar at each other and blare Kaiser chiefs and red hot chili peppers and treat their workplace as if they have their mates over in their parents house while they're away. Will not return to this poorly run kip
02/01/2026: Cannot fault the food or the staff. Lovely experience. Book well in advance. Very popular spot. A pint in Slattery’s across the road before or after recommended.

Host

Dublin
30/01/2026: I've been waiting months to get a booking here. Had a gorgeous meal, but maybe not worth as much hype as everyone makes out. Sharing Ribeye was beautiful but had barely a drizzle of sauce on the plate. Not like the photos I've seen. They also didn't let the steak rest long enough so it was tough when it was served. I did bring it back home and by the time I was home it was beautifully tender and juicy. The Pumpkin Cappellacci was simple but tasty, the venison pappardelle rich and hearty. Burnt ricotta cheesecake was yummy. Most disappointing dish by far was the burrata with beetroot, olive oil and dill. I don't understand why they would put such a bland and boring dish on such a gorgeous tasting menu. Spoiler alert, it tasted like burrata, beetroot, dill and olive oil. It was definitely a mixed bag meal but definitely more ups than downs.
25/01/2026: Just staggeringly good, the steak came with olive oil and balsamic...a combination you'd never think of but worked perfectly

Wallace's Asti

Dublin
06/01/2026: We were a bit late to reserve a table, but we ordered 2 very tasty stone oven Neapolitan pizza’s (Capricciosa and Margherita) for takeaway! It was perfectly on time. Both the toppings and the dough was divine! It was rich and thin. The price was very reasonable as well. Yummy!
04/01/2026: Disappointed with the 10€ tiramissu but the rest was good :)

Zizzi

Dublin
03/02/2026: Centrally located and perfect for celiacs. Their gluten-free menu is extensive and safe: crispy pizzas and delicious pasta that's just as good as regular pasta. The staff is very careful to prevent cross-contamination. A great find!

Terra Madre

Dublin
08/01/2026: For me personally a hidden local perl with amazing authentic Italian food and great service! Was a bit cold, and rough interior but fitting the experience and the food quality compensates everything the location might not provides.
05/01/2026: Food was incredible, really small menu but everything was perfect. We were the first ones in there on a Monday, 2 adults a toddler and a baby. They made my young daughter pasta with butter and cheese, whilst me and my husband had a gorgeous dinner and a bottle of wine. It’s not set up for children being a small place but they made us feel incredibly welcome and the food was very worth it. An absolute must visit in Dublin for me. 10/10

Little Lane Restaurant

Dublin
06/12/2025: Excellent range of coffees including complex filter coffees. Quiet and secluded. Hard to not be tempted by their delicious cakes and buns. Warm friendly service. Wish it was bigger but that’s part of the appeal too. My fav coffee shop on Galway bar none.
28/11/2025: These guys know what they’re doing. Excellent latte that had no need for sugar or syrup. I even picked up a bag of the same beans used in their espresso. My wife tried their ube matcha and it was also delightful.

Di Luca

Dublin
27/01/2026: A very enjoyable little restaurant off the beaten track. The service is very friendly and there is a good selection of dishes, including a wide variety of pasta dishes. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Grazie. A charming and discreet little restaurant. The service is very welcoming and the menu offers a wide selection of dishes, especially pasta. The dishes were hot, fresh, and tasty. Grazie.
26/01/2026: This was our third visit to Di Luca, and it was by far the best experience yet. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, with Jose and Miguel creating a wonderfully warm atmosphere through their genuine smiles and welcoming personalities. We truly appreciated the attention to detail—especially the care taken with our dietary restrictions—and the thoughtful effort to make our anniversary celebration feel special. Thank you Miguel and Jose and to the chef behind the scenes.

The Little Pig Speakeasy

Dublin
03/02/2026: Not too bad, true speakeasy vibes with secret password and entrance. Creepy back alley that leads you upstairs to a comfortable venue above. Downstairs is the restaurant and the more pub-like sister “speakeasy” (which is not hidden by any means and much louder). Red Elixir 3.5/5 Petite Dejuener 4/5 (better if warmed) More food reviews shared on IG (@explorewithdria) and travel experiences unfold at explorewithdria.blogspot.com!
16/01/2026: We were severely disappointed with our experience at The Little Pig Speakeasy. The venue itself is beautifully set up and has so much potential, which made the experience even more frustrating. The woman who initially served us was absolutely lovely; welcoming, kind and professional. Unfortunately, she was just finishing her shift. Once she left, an older man (who appeared to be the owner or manager) took over, and the atmosphere changed immediately. I have genuinely never been spoken to as rudely as we were during this night out. We were a group of 21 year olds celebrating a friend’s 21st birthday, and his behaviour towards us was completely inappropriate. When we politely asked for a straw for our drinks, he shouted, “No, we don’t do straws, they’re a waste of time!”, only for another drink to be brought out shortly after with a straw in it. At one point, he claimed he was deaf as a justification for shouting at us. However, moments later he was speaking to other customers in a completely normal, calm tone of voice. If this was meant as a joke, it was extremely inappropriate and unacceptable to make light of a disability. What made the situation even worse was overhearing him speak negatively about us to another couple in the speakeasy, saying something along the lines of “It’s Saturday, it brings in the youngsters / bad crowd.” This was humiliating and deeply unprofessional. Despite the prices we paid and the fact that our drinks had only just arrived at the table, we were told our time was up after around 45 minutes and were asked to leave before we’d even had a chance to enjoy them. It’s such a shame, as this venue could be fantastic. Unfortunately, the behaviour of the man who took over completely overshadowed the experience and ensured we would not return or recommend this venue especially if you are younger as you will be discriminated against.
