The best restaurants in Maynooth

22/06/2025: Great coffee, one of the best in Maynooth. The staff are always cheerful and friendly. The place has enough indoor seating and there are more public seating outside.

10/05/2025: The bartender has an excellent choice of words, and with good manners. The ambience is of the old times, pints and laughs in the countryside.

20/06/2025: We went in there as a big group and was pretty late at night but the staff were lovely and looked after us very well. The food was great and just amazing! Would definitely go in again.

04/07/2025: Just rude! Manager and waiter both balked when we asked if we could get a knife to cut my daughter's birthday cake. Oh no, you can't have that in here! First and only time in over 20 years I've ever been in a restaurant where they treat you like you're some kind of peasant for wanting to have a birthday cake, yet the manager wears running shoes and they allow patrons bring their dogs in to sit with them while they eat. Found the manager and head waiter to be just rude. The other staff has glazed eyes that just said, I don't want to be here. It's a real shame cos the food was really good, but although I've been here a few times, after tonight I'll never go back. Went across the road to Brady's afterwards, where they were so helpful and brought us out a knife and napkins and displayed genuine interest in their customer service. Found Bistro 53 to be pretentious.

19/06/2025: Visited here for a family (4) dinner and just loved it. Excellent menu, great beers, super staff and just all round lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend the Smoked fish risotto and the sticky toffee pudding 😋 Special shout out to Harry for a wonderful friendly welcome.

06/06/2025: We had an amazing experience! Food was very good. The chicken cashew was the best choice! I know, not something you'd expect at the best pub in Kildare, I was surprised as well. But, nevertheless, it's very good. The staff was very friendly, even for Irish standards. Glad I stopped here for a few hours.

24/06/2025: Amazing food and service, can't wait to go back! The fantastic food at Sasta in Maynooth was unreal, genuinely above and beyond what we expected. Every single dish was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. You can tell there’s real care and quality behind what’s served here What made the experience even better was the service. We didn’t catch the name of the lovely girl who took care of us, but she was so warm, helpful and genuinely friendly — hopefully she’ll know it’s her if she sees this! A special shout-out as well to Andres, who helped us pick our desserts, (Ube Cheesecake), his recommendation was spot on. We’ll definitely be back. Between the amazing food and the brilliant team, Sasta is the perfect spot. 😋😋

26/06/2025: Amazing pizza. Wonderful flavourful base. Tasty topping. This is proper pizza. Best i have had in a long time. I came back for the pasta on the chef's recommendation and i was not disappointed. The 'Nduja rigatoni is a must try. I have really enjoyed mushroom pasta too. Its hard to get good pasta in ireland but this is some of the best i have had. Come and get some of the best pasta in Ireland here!

28/05/2025: I recently visited Zambero in Maynooth and had a really good experience. I was served by Darcey and Ciara, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered a toasted burrito which was delicious, packed with fresh ingredients, flavour, and perfectly wrapped. Loved the relax and clean atmosphere in the restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming back!

24/05/2025: I arrived flustered just before closing time, but Nathan and Ciara were so friendly and helpful! The food was excellent and I’m sad I’m only passing through otherwise this place would be a regular!

17/06/2025: Work in a residential care unit for people with autism, visit here very often & the staff could not be more personable and kind to the residents I care for. Yesterday was the definition of how helpful they are - staff always bring extra biscuits with tea, & yesterday they brought out desserts on the house! An excellent restaurant with the most sincere staff I've ever encountered

09/05/2025: Me and a few lads went into McMahons for some breakfast and Ian sorted us out. He was a great chap, really funny, looked after us well and did a crazy trick with my lucozade glass when he was serving it. Absolutely unreal, definitely be back 💪💪

05/05/2025: This is a great place to visit. The staff, location, service and food are hands down in their own league. Perfect day or night to watch the match and relax in a comfortable environment!

27/06/2025: This place has excellent food and is a great recommendation for a cafe to visit, the cafe is very clean and has bamboo chairs and very comfy red couches. The inside of the cafe is very beautiful and has glorious lights on the ceiling!

05/07/2025: The Glenroyal is THE place to stay in Maynooth. Not only are the rooms absolutely fabulous, the food is too. The staff members are all so friendly and helpful. And right across from the hotel is a little shopping area for groceries, pharmacy, etc., so it could not have been more convenient. As a person in a wheelchair, it was far more accessible than most other places. I would rate it a ten on a scale of one to five (five being highest)!!! ;)
