The best restaurants in Maynooth

22/06/2025: Great coffee, one of the best in Maynooth. The staff are always cheerful and friendly. The place has enough indoor seating and there are more public seating outside.

11/07/2025: Americans here. My wife and I had sushi and miso soup. Staff were friendly and food was great! Recommend this stop for anyone in Maynooth and for those visiting from abroad who need a welcomed relief from traditional Irish food.

04/07/2025: Just rude! Manager and waiter both balked when we asked if we could get a knife to cut my daughter's birthday cake. Oh no, you can't have that in here! First and only time in over 20 years I've ever been in a restaurant where they treat you like you're some kind of peasant for wanting to have a birthday cake, yet the manager wears running shoes and they allow patrons bring their dogs in to sit with them while they eat. Found the manager and head waiter to be just rude. The other staff has glazed eyes that just said, I don't want to be here. It's a real shame cos the food was really good, but although I've been here a few times, after tonight I'll never go back. Went across the road to Brady's afterwards, where they were so helpful and brought us out a knife and napkins and displayed genuine interest in their customer service. Found Bistro 53 to be pretentious.

23/05/2025: First time getting take out here and really impressed. Beef and chicken burgers very tasty. Cheese and bacon chips delicious.

04/07/2025: Really lovely place to eat in the heart of Kildare town. Staff were incredibly friendly and easy going. Our table all enjoyed Thai dishes. The Thai red was so fragrant and tasty.

20/07/2025: Big takeaway order was 30 minutes late for collection. You do collections. Receipt and witness available.

19/07/2025: Not that impressed. Quite expensive for the quality of food. I ordered the sirloin steak, medium rare. It came medium to well done. It wasnt even tender. My wife enjoyed the hake though.

29/07/2025: Had a delicious lunch here with work. The haloumi was delicious. Very nice matcha also!

27/07/2025: Really trendy and vegan friendly. Food was delicious. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Quirky drinks like homemade raspberry lemonade are a nice touch. Underground parking quite handy.

31/07/2025: By a good stretch the best pizza in Maynooth. We’ve had a range of pizzas here, eaten in and had take away, and it’s always very good quality. They also serve some pasta dishes. There are a small number of seats to eat inside or outside, with red/white wine available too.

26/06/2025: Amazing pizza. Wonderful flavourful base. Tasty topping. This is proper pizza. Best i have had in a long time. I came back for the pasta on the chef's recommendation and i was not disappointed. The 'Nduja rigatoni is a must try. I have really enjoyed mushroom pasta too. Its hard to get good pasta in ireland but this is some of the best i have had. Come and get some of the best pasta in Ireland here!

11/07/2025: Suppose to serve food until 9pm or so it states. We were turned away at 8:40 as they told us they has stopped serving food. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

28/05/2025: I recently visited Zambero in Maynooth and had a really good experience. I was served by Darcey and Ciara, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered a toasted burrito which was delicious, packed with fresh ingredients, flavour, and perfectly wrapped. Loved the relax and clean atmosphere in the restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming back!

24/05/2025: I arrived flustered just before closing time, but Nathan and Ciara were so friendly and helpful! The food was excellent and I’m sad I’m only passing through otherwise this place would be a regular!

05/07/2025: The Glenroyal is THE place to stay in Maynooth. Not only are the rooms absolutely fabulous, the food is too. The staff members are all so friendly and helpful. And right across from the hotel is a little shopping area for groceries, pharmacy, etc., so it could not have been more convenient. As a person in a wheelchair, it was far more accessible than most other places. I would rate it a ten on a scale of one to five (five being highest)!!! ;)

20/07/2025: Not convinced all these reviews are real. Look on just eat where people simply don't receive their order, it's completely incorrect or arrives stone cold 2 hours later. Quite possibly the worst Dominos in the country.

02/07/2025: Made an order at 1pm for a calzone and bottled water,its currently 2.47pm order is not here,restaurant was called twice i was advised order will be here in 10mins its been over 30mins order is still not here! the person on the phone said the traffic is bad,it takes 20mins max to deliver from maynooth to Kilcock not 2 hours, when i asked for a refund they said the driver is on the way and will be here in 10, its been over half hour order still not here neither is a refund!!!
