The best restaurants in Kilkenny

17/04/2025: I get the chicken box from here. At least once a fortnight! It's my favorite cheat meal! Always freshly cooked, great delivery time & the delivery drivers are so friendly! Ive had pizza from here also, so good! I highly recommend ♡

10/04/2025: joke of a place the chicken was rotting with black pieces on it and they wouldn’t give a refund ended the call with disrespect wouldn’t advise getting anything from here!

16/03/2025: I live in Kilkenny and choose Langtons for breakfast with a few family members for a catch up we arrived and were seated at 10 45 am Saturday 15th March 2025, a lovely waitress came to our table we gave in our order,Tea and Toast arrived very quickly but from their the wait began,at 11:35 2 Raw (fried ?) Eggs were handed to one family member, so by that time the toast and tea was cold,,2 breakfast called the Works was what we could only describe as inedible,followed by scrambled egg which was cold and sat on a slice of bread which made the bread so wet and cold it was awful to say someone would be expected to butter let alone eat a sloppy slice of bread, next was steak and 2 poached eggs by this stage we called over the waitress and showed her the 2 poached Eggs were truly and utterly raw ,we did point out politely the rest of our foods cold potatoes cubes , burnt sausages ,bacon slices were like rubber and full of grease, black an white pudding was rock solid over cooked ,the waitress apologised and informed us that we would not be charged for the steak and raw eggs,the list is endless, over all this was a very disappointing experience from a place that I always highly recommended to family and visiting friends but sadly I won't be recommending Langtons food to family/ visitors again. Might I add the waitresses were lovely...From a very disappointed customer..

15/03/2025: Went into the tea rooms this morning quarter to 11 got tea and toast straight away. Waited to 25 to 12 to have a breakfast served to us on which I got 2 eggs. One wasn't even cooked my friend got a steak breakfast, the the egg was absolutely raw. It was disgusting. How could you serve people with this food? 2 of my friends got a fry . The bacon was like a cardboard. The egg wasn't even cooked. The black pudding was disgraceful. Went to pay the bill. They did not charge us for the steak. Breakfast as the egg was disgusting, but they still charged as we left the tea rooms hungry. We are locally people will never eat there again horrible experience.

25/05/2025: I ordered a take away the noodles were very dry the curry sauce was watery the spice meal deal tasted very salty and no spice we were very disappointed in the food.

05/05/2025: Ate here while staying in the hotel. Kids ate very well with Goujons and Burgers that they really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I got a bland chicken burger smaller than their portion for double the price. Vegetarian curry was bland. Hotel is nice, staff are lovely, food is shockingly bad, considering the price asked. Cannot recommend, will eat elsewhere while staying in Kilkeny, can only recommend you do the same

25/01/2025: Un lugar animado. Ambiente encantador. El personal era amable y atento. Pasamos unos días en Kilkenny y comimos es numerosos restaurantes diferentes y fue fácilmente la mejor comida que tuvimos. No puedo fallarlo.

18/02/2025: Scandalous joke lads. Next time i order pizza with cajun chicken you tell me you don’t have cajun chicken instead of idiotically assuming i like the most flavourless disgusting chicken known to man.

07/12/2024: Hi there, we bought two pizzas and tacos fries yesterday 6/12/24 from Kilkenny and the whole family of 4 ended up in St Luke's AE on drippings with food poisoning. Great offer, the bill is: pizza (which ended in the bin) + €400 🤯🤮

03/05/2025: So bad the shop dining area was covered in midget flys and when we looked over our heads there was heaps of flys on the ceiling over each seating area to make it worse they were falling down on to table on to the food, also the 3 foreign men behind the counter were on a go slow chatting away no orders ahead of us but yet took 20 minutes to make a taco chip the shop made my skin crawl honestly no cleaning being done I've worked in hospitality for 12 years and also abra at once stage definitely not following food safety standards.

30/04/2025: Ordered from here and they delivered the food two hours late, they wouldn't answer my phone calls to query where the food was. Don't waste your time

07/05/2025: Had the misfortune of eating here recently. Food very poor, chicken wrap with bacon cheese chips. Wrap was like paper, chicken was rubbery. Chips were ok. Price outrageous for the very poor quality food. Honestly it's very poor, I should have known by the previous reviews but I was hungry and it was late. Will not return.

21/04/2025: Had battered sausage and chips, absolutely nothing to write home about, not that hard to cook decent chips. The sausage was lukewarm as were the chips and having eaten a handful of the chips I put the rest in the bin up the street . Wasted my hard earned cash, do better lads. Just because people have had a few beers doesn’t mean you can serve warm food not cooked properly. You’re charging enough. DO BETTER!

03/05/2025: Shocking stay, tv had tape all around it wouldn’t even turn on, people screaming and shouting in the rooms next to you all night, shower broke, bed has stains on it, all round very poor don’t know how the place is still Open if I’m being honest, would not recommend

25/03/2025: Bad. Broken electrical appliances. Thick mold. Dodgy locks. No shower door. And Dirty. Stay away.
