27/12/2025: The place was nicely decorated inside and clean looking. Service was nice. There was a guy behind the counter I think he might have been a manger or owner and he was lovely and kind of had a good vibe with other staff, which I appreciate. The food was very mediocre. I got an iced coffee which was ok. Kids got hot chocolates, which were average and a bit watery. The biggest let down was the wafer. In a place like that I would expect a freshly made wafer (esp.for €9), this was a hard store bought wafer heated in a microwave, no doubt. And even at that I don't think it was a good quality store-bought one. They sell the exact same ones in Lidl. We also got a cookie which was fine, but no fireworks. Paid €27 for a coffee, two hot chocs, cookie and wafer. Not a robbery and if the quality was good I would have thought it was an ok value. But it all tasted cheap and like if no effort was put in it. Overally, would not return.

09/03/2026: Second time here n I really like the atmosphere. The barmaid smiling and welcoming. Enjoyed sitting upstairs where it was quiet and chilled. Downstairs is much more bustling which I like too. Will revisit more in the future

09/03/2026: Don't do food but over all everything in the place is good no problems what so ever lovely and warm place up stairs is nice and quiet so can just chill out enjoy your pint

19/03/2026: I'm very disappointed how Mario's have gone the garlic cheese chips was disgusting and how you can charge that much for food like that ye all should be ashamed maybe health and safety should inspectus place

12/03/2026: With electricity out in our area I ordered 2 fish and chips as takeaway. Got home and found fish was fine, but chips just lukewarm. Thought of heating them in airfryer, but realised not working due to power outage. Cold chips in the bin.

22/06/2025: Sister had day two of wedding in beer garden .we had great night with great music.bar man was one ignorant man.daughter asked for hit water to heat a baby bottle to be told .this is not a café its a bar.i asked for two drinks just before they finishen 10.55 he refused me.told me im looking at you for another hour.how he still working there with his bad attitude is beyond me.pity because its a fine pub.

24/05/2025: Very ignorant, power tripping, condescending male manager/owner in the back beer garden when approaching paying complying customers. There is a way to talk to people but small man syndrome is an awful thing. plenty pubs In Kk, avoid here

06/09/2025: the spice bag was SO bad I think someone took a big dookie in it! service was goofy ah bad because nialls mother ate fries! I think it would be better if it costed a quarter!!!!! 🖕🖕🖕 NEVER go this place is from OHIO!!! 🥀 took 6-7 hours to get my food and it was probably noodles

11/11/2025: I was there on Saturday for dinner. I ordered the Japanese noodles. The food was cold and bland, the drinks were flat, there was dust and dirt everywhere. The staff were lovely and there was a Wonderful atmosphere but the food and drink was a let down.

21/10/2025: I ordered from this restaurant last night while in Kilkenny. I ordered Hot and Sour Soup, Schezuen Chicken and a Chicken Chow Mein. The delivery was fast, the food arrived piping hot and the chow mein was of a good quality and tasty. That was where this all stopped! The hot and sour soup had sweet chilli in it, and had an overriding sweet flavour that was not pleasant. This was more of a sweet and nothing soup and definitely not hot and sour. I then opened the 'Schezuen' chicken and to my absolute disgust this was again a sweet chilli chicken and not a schezuen pepper in sight. I rang the restaurant to see if i had been given the wrong dish in error and I was told 'No they do Schezuen Chicken with sweet chilli'! Well then this is not Schezuen chicken but sweet chilli chicken. The flavour was not to my taste at all, it was so sweet when all I wanted was the yummy spiciness of schezuen peppers. To their credit they agreed to get the delivery driver to come back to collect the food, as I was not going to eat either of these dishes, and I have just received my refund today also. If the schezuen & soup had been to the standard of the chow mein, I would have given this 5/5 but unfortunately neither were the dishes advertised.

14/09/2025: Lovely restaraunt to grab a bite to eat. Very friendly and helpful staff. One of the guys on duty had a great chat with us and gave my two lads a free 🎂.Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Kilkenny!

22/02/2026: We get food all time here was great order food was told be 50 mins wait hour half no show rang back told delivey driver on way got food it was pure cold driver told me he was outside my house wasnt even in the rite easte rang shop told them food was cold the said the credit next order when i did the said the know nothing about it the were not stand over it be last time i get food there and order was only 36.00 euro

18/01/2026: Dreadful, this takeaway used to be a local and favourite of mine went back food has really declined and service was appalling. Baby back ribs which are usually a favourite of my sons were completely full of fat with very little meat cheapest cuts of meat. Sweat potatoe fries which were €8 for one bag that was is fairness a large but were completely re heated from earlier and soggy so had to leave both ribs and fries behind. Spring rolls greasy also left behind, table we sat at table top was so greasy the menu stuck to the table top. 3 of us which one was a teenager and 1 child over €62 in the freezing cold plus we ordered food and drink when we ran out of drinks I asked for glass of tap water for my child waitress said no we only sell our drinks here. Shocked cold, cheap food reheated plus ignorant service and dirty tables while being completely ripped off.
