10/06/2026: Applegreen Paulstown is an extraordinary Facility.It has absolutely EVERYTHING ..the best coffee and crossies...the best hot food Deli and a delightful array of goodies to pick from the M+ S shop!! But what really makes Applegreen Paulstown stand out is the AMAZING Staff headed up by Phil and her Team.They are friendly welcoming and always there with a smile and a Good Morning.I always leave in good humour and well fed! Thir attention to detail....high standards and professionalism is something to behold. It is exemplary and is a model of excelllent practice nationally! Well done to Phil and Enda on a Superb Management model that works and delivers!!. You can feel the culture of collaboration and teamwork the minute you walk in the door!! It is this exemplary leadership that makes Applegreen Paulstown the best service provider that I have ever experienced. Congrats to all the staff and long may it continue. 29/04/2026: Nice sandwiches, fresh great quality ingredients. Would definitely go again if it wasn't so pricey, 13 euros for a sandwich.

12/09/2026: We used to enjoy Stathams quite a bit. We would come on the weekend and get their weekend sharer for 40€. We had not been for a few months. We came in today and ordered the same thing and I’m afraid we won’t be coming back. The waffle and bacon dish is a much smaller portion, bacons were floppy. Wild mushroom dish used to come with greens and two pouched eggs, they’ve removed the greens & eggs and have added a bit of goat cheese instead. The nachos used to come with beef or pork and now they come with no meat. It was essentially carb on top of carb with minimum flavour for the same price it used to be. I wish they had increased the price instead of changing the meal completely and dropping the quality massively. won’t be back and will not recommend to anyone anymore.

20/06/2026: Found exactly what I was looking for with a chill pub outside the city center. A city self park is across the street. As soon as i walked in I knew this was a hang for me. The bar was chill with a community feel. Mostly men were gathered watching Hurling on the TV. There is also an adjacent too. I got a pint of Guinness at the bar. The bartender was friendly enough and price was good at under 8 euro. Fantastic tasting brew. It's a solid pub in Kildare.

09/10/2026: OK....ticked a box as needed feeding & service was efficient. I did not like the coffee but perhaps a personal taste.

14/09/2026: The breakfast sandwich was amazing!

03/06/2026: B&B package. Family trip, 2 children aged 5 and 2. Check in was fine, helpful staff. Stayed in room 350. 2 singles and a double. Bed rails provided for the kids which was great. Room was very clean. Although strong smell of air freshener when we arrived which was a bit sickening upon entering. The bathroom could do with a retractable clothes line to help with drying the swimming gear. Corridors were so noisy with children until quite late at night. This was midweek so probably quieter than at weekends. Had to book the pool which I found annoying as felt under pressure to go and to be out at a certain time. Changing rooms were soaking wet. Someone should have been around more regularly to dry mop the floor. Adult mains were tasty. The portions were very small and the price was quite expensive. Children's meals were an absolute rip off. Toddler got the same portion of chips as the 5 year old. My son chose a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. I anticipated a large palm sized cookie. After I reminded the waitress about our dessert order, what came out for 2 Maryland cookies and a scoop of ice cream for €5. A large jug of miwadi was €2.50. I thought these prices were extremely high. Breakfast was very good. Good selection. Children were well catered for. There was a child's play area on the 2nd floor. This could have used a good clean. Safety mats in disarray and much older children there unsupervised as the games room wasn't open. Jurassic Newpark was most definitely the highlight of the stay. Although disappointed with the contents of the goodie bags (no bottle or cap). The children had a great time at the park.

24/05/2026: 1.Magnificent staff (Callum working in the bar was nothing but spectacular, professional and so much craic. Whatever they are paying him is not enough he represents the hotel so well😁 honesyone of the best bar man I have ever met) 2. Wonderful staff(have I mentioned Callum lol) 3. It is expensive to stay no way around that. However considering how well they run it etc I guess but I hope the price doesn't increase

12/04/2026: Location, location, location.... With a great breakfast included in the price.

04/04/2026: Spent a night here after the Kilkenny 5km race. Highly recommend it. The staff was very helpful and welcoming 😊 the beds were cozy and the breakfast was 10/10. Thanks to staff Mario and Gerry.

12/07/2026: Great wee spot to grab an early coffee and go for a walk near the river. Lovely coffee, friendly service.

20/08/2026: Had a super stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was freshly and tastefully renovated, and it was both very quiet and cosy. Breakfast downstairs was restaurant-quality, with very attentive and thoughtful service. Just a super place and a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

12/06/2026: The Club House was the perfect location for our short and sweet visit to Kilkenny in May 2026. We were in town for 2 nights, and the hotel is right in the center of the city, just 2 minutes walk from Kilkenny Castle and the start of the Medieval Mile. The huge onsite parking lot was very handy (and secure). Our room was beautiful and so comfortable. It was so worth it to include breakfast in the mornings as well, as the food served was plentiful and satisfying. We loved the Club House's character, on top of being clean and and elegant, all the decorations and design elements makes it feel like you've stepped into a moment in history in the best way. Staff were all so helpful and kind, and shout outs to the Bar staff on our arrival evening (the first night of our Ireland vacation), who gave us a warm welcome. One thing to be aware of is that there is no elevator, so I likely would not come back with family members who have mobility concerns if there was no availability on the first floor (from what we saw, this would be a very comfortable and safe option as all ground floor rooms face the hotel's secure parking lot, which was quiet for the duration of our stay).

20/06/2026: Arrived late at night on the first stop of our campervan tour. Thomas behind the bar , made us feel very welcome. Delightful

18/06/2026: I don't understand how anyone can give such an establishment 5 stars. Apart from the free parking and its location 2 km from the castle, nothing justifies the price. Room number 10 was unsanitary, and the breakfast was disastrous. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

18/08/2026: Stayed the night in the hotel. It was modern and very clean. Great location, close to a car park. The bar is small but has great friendly staff.

12/08/2026: Visited for Monday evening traditional Irish music. Fabulous👍

26/09/2026: We’ve gone to a couple of different KFC’s and this one by far is the best out of them all. Quick service, food always top quality, no long wait and no disappointment. Absolutely amazingly managed.. well done guys 🫶🏻

25/09/2026: Bought meal on app €9.95 on 24 Sept 2026, went to drive thru 4 minutes later to collect. Was asked to tap card at collection point. 24 hours later noticed on Apple Wallet that app charged €9.95 and drive through ‘illegally’ charged €11.95 for the same meal. DOUBLE CHARGED / offer price and store price. Went into KFC Kilkenny at 19:00 (48 hrs after this mess) to ask to be refunded the €11.95 (double charge). Manager was not in store so I got to speak with supervisor (only working there 3-4 weeks) and he said he could not refund me the double charge without a receipt. Showed him the double charge on my Apple Wallet and the app receipt and I told him there was no receipt from drive thru but showed him the KFC app receipt. WAIT FOR IT: He said I cannot give you the double charge (€11.95) back but I can give you some chicken. Is KFC taking the piss??? I have been charged €21.95 for a regular 4 piece meal. Let’s see if this gets a generic reply from KFC Kilkenny. Supervisor took my mobile number and no call back yet.

15/08/2026: Me , my wife and 3 kids came here for food and a coffee and being honest Ive never been treated so well in a cafe before . Staff were so welcoming and accommodating, the food and coffee were also top notch .
