06/09/2025: Well presented gift shop that’s not overflowing with generic tat. Nice change for Kilkenny. Eoghan was extremely helpful and pleasant and I can’t recommend the gift shop highly enough.

15/09/2025: Great pub: delicious food and fair value. Cozy interior, typical Irish live music, and well-chilled beer. The service was extremely friendly, and even though it was already quite full, they managed to make room for us. I highly recommend it when in Kilkenny.

12/09/2025: Had lunch there on 10th September, sat outside as had the dogs with me. Fish and chips for me and beef for herself. Couldn't fault either of them, wife said the beef was the nicest she'd ever had. Staff very friendly, brought out water for the dogs. Would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

03/09/2025: It's okay.. their products are expensive but it's also good because you can buy all your favorite Asian materials from them.

09/09/2025: Sandra cooked us up a full Irish breakfast (minus black pudding for us). It was very tasty. We went back again the next morning for breakfast sandwiches.

24/09/2025: This place is more concerned with presentation than quality. Breakfast was just bad. Bacon was flavorless, overcooked chips. The potatoes seemed like something from a bad fast food chain. The omelet was dry. It was also expensive. We ate breakfast the day before at Langdon's Tea Room. It beat this place on everything, to include atmosphere.

15/09/2025: Coffee is good. Although if you want to sit down with your coffee, don't enter after 3pm on a Sunday. They don't even allow you sit down with your takeaway cup.

10/09/2025: It’s a good family hotel. Despite the mixed reviews for the restaurant, we had a very nice meal on the first night, with the staff being attentive and the food coming quickly. They seem to know that we are here with kids and try to make things efficient! The Jurassic Park attraction was fun, and our toddler had a great time. She also enjoyed the kids pool. Breakfast was great! The coffee was great too, not the usual awful stuff you get from a lot of hotels. There were two less than ideal experiences, both at reception. 1) we were skipped when a rude person skipped the queue. The person on the desk knew this because she beckoned us over. 2) my uncle died and we needed an extra hour at checkout. It was 30 euro. I thought you could have just let that go.

10/08/2025: The hotel is quite good for families with young kids, but we stayed in the older part of the hotel in rooms that don’t have air-con. I would not recommend it, as the room was stiflingly hot (despite using the fan provided). Possibly one of the worst nights sleep I’ve had in a long, long time.

06/09/2025: O'Hara's tap room. Went there and had really good beer. Spoke with two of the bartenders (possibly owners?) asked for a sticker (which no breweries or distillers carry in Ireland) and received a free t shirt instead. Great place good people!

25/06/2025: Stopped in for a quick visit, just enough time for a couple of beers. Very nice place, obviously a wide selection of beers.

25/04/2025: A great place to watch sports. The owner was really nice, friendly and helpful, which can be a rare quality nowadays. Definitely worth a visit.

01/09/2025: Very tasty food. Fresh, tender and very quick service. I tried mix grill with extra dunar and everything was lovely. Kunafa was made on charcoal which is very special.

31/08/2025: Excellent authentic food of the highest quality ingredients and great flavor. The bread used for the wraps is the best I have ever tasted. It's a cafeteria style place, so the ambience, while fine, isn't particularly fancy. But dine in or take out, the food cannot be beaten. Making it a regular go-to.

28/07/2025: Dinner tapas. The serving staff were very polite and accomodating as we had ni booking on a Saturday evening. However, took an hour for the food to come. The "broccoli chips" dish was awful. Big heads of salt soaked charred broccoli heads with what can be described as taco sauce on top for 9€! The mushroom tapas dish was almost like the kitchen was getting rid of their left overs from breakfast. Really disappointed with the food here, won't be back

25/07/2025: Food below average, almost every lunch meal gets the same side salad and a topping of fried onions that were not mentioned on any dishes at all. Although it says foccaccia on the menu, don’t expect italian style foccacia but rather sandwich bread. Waited for food over 30mins a and then 20mins for bill to arrive (asked twice). Wouldn’t go back
