04/08/2026: Nice setting and the food was good. We sat in for lunch, and despite there being a few tables waiting for food, our meals arrived quickly, which was great. The only downside was the service. We ordered coffees with our lunch, but they never arrived. When it came time to pay, we were almost charged for them until we pointed it out. The coffees were removed from the bill, but the staff member didn’t seem particularly concerned or apologetic about the mistake. Overall, the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, but the service could be more attentive.

23/07/2026: Eggs Benedict was a bit disappointing. The bread was overly toasted, not enough sauce, for a specific taste. Cappuccino was great

19/05/2026: We stayed in the accommodation and there was 5 of us in one room and it was not comfortable, great place for a stag or hen but you wouldn't want to be claustrophobic, the accommodation was behind the pub and you went over to the pub for food , the breakfast in the morning was very slow . The girls working there were very nice to deal with. It in a good location for the rest of Kilkenny

12/06/2026: Chill spot to have a drink and eat some delicious food. Had an excellent vegan falafel wrap. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Great staff. Would happily visit again. Oh they make an awesome hand tossed margarita pizza 🍕 😋

11/06/2026: Stayed here for a week. Breakfast was fantastic every day. Staff were all pleasant enough. A special shout out to Zara who went above and beyond every day for us. If you’re staying here, I would reccomend ear plugs, as the windows aren’t the thickest. You can literally hear everything outside. But location is great, car park behind for €5 a day.

02/06/2026: I had a super delicious and generous breakfast here. I only walked around the place a couple of times looking for it. The café is inside a bookstore on the upper floor. It was definitely worth it. Very cute.

25/05/2026: Food amazing. Drinks amazing. The music AMAZING They play the entire Fearless album. This is my new favorite spot. And right above the bookstore. What more could you want?!

14/04/2025: The perfect place for a bite to eat at lunchtime. A small menu, but the dishes are really good and well-prepared. They don't have many tables, so there might be a queue outside.

12/04/2025: The butternut squash curry was delicious and the service was really good, great atmosphere, good price. Will definitely return.

07/08/2026: Got food here as we where staying in kilkenny (2night stay) Best chipper in the whole of ireland by a country mile and ill stand by my word. The service was quick and the food was 5star the boss man even gave 2 caprisuns to the kids which was a very kind gesture, it's very reasonable on price as was getting for 2 adults and 2 kids with drinks and didn't break the bank unlike some places 🤣. This will be the regular for when we're in kilkenny again.

01/07/2026: I revoked my 5 star review, my last couple of times here consist of 3 different members of staff asking what did I order again over and over ,food poisoned with crazy amounts of salt leaving food inedible, wrong food giving or chips or other items missing from order. Not even worth driving back to correct them . Unfortunately am done with this take away il find a new regular

31/05/2026: First timers here. Pared back and old style. I particularly liked the bottle of tk lemonade offered. Guinness very popular here. Fair prices. Great to have a chat in. Low key barman in Murt.

10/04/2026: Friendly bar, with decent locals , we asked if they could put racing on , and they obliged, decent pint as well.

19/02/2026: Great place to sit back and sip the night away. Great whisky and Great service.

17/06/2026: Bollards is our favorite pub in Kilkenny. This was our 3rd time to Kilkenny and we stop in here every time for pints, food, sessions, and overall great craic. Cheers to Damien who was our bartender and took great care of us. We enjoyed chatting with him and a few other locals. It feels like a home away from home. Can’t wait to come back soon!

08/06/2026: Didn't have food here, Lovely old worldly pub that has a lovely warm relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoyed it

20/06/2026: The service at the desk was great. The rooms are the down side of staying here. Our room didn’t have AC. They had a fan in the room but it was still very hot. The bathrooms were very dated and could use an update.

11/06/2026: Very nice establishment, friendly staff. Unique decor (remains of an old church).

18/06/2026: I don't understand how anyone can give such an establishment 5 stars. Apart from the free parking and its location 2 km from the castle, nothing justifies the price. Room number 10 was unsanitary, and the breakfast was disastrous. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

19/09/2025: Extremely nice bartenders! Good atmosphere, you will feel comfortable at once.

06/09/2025: O'Hara's tap room. Went there and had really good beer. Spoke with two of the bartenders (possibly owners?) asked for a sticker (which no breweries or distillers carry in Ireland) and received a free t shirt instead. Great place good people!
