The best restaurants in Mayo

28/03/2024: First time trying it out and as soon as we sat down we were told off by an incredibly rude waiter. No signage on the table saying it was reserved and even so there was no need to take such a tone to an honest mistake.

27/03/2024: Despite having good reviews for food. The service was deplorable. I felt sorry for the one waiter, who was managing the whole floor and take away orders. Still as we went to the effort of booking a table in advance, we were still over looked when it came to ordering. Waiting more than 20 minutes without placing an order, despite indicating we’d like to order. The chef cooking the pizzas appeared to be the owner. If you are please review you level of staffing and if struggling to gain staff, please advise current staff to prioritise customers who have booked and are already seated. We ended up leaving after waiting 20 minutes to order and gain incredible service at a restaurant only a few doors away. Sage, I would highly recommend this restaurant, for food and service.

03/04/2024: A very busy trip to a lovely Italian fare restaurant in the wild of Westport Ireland. 2 seafood pastas later, we were hooked! Excellent quality seafood cooked just right, a completely serviceable Sangiovese, and a lovely evening was had! Highly recommend! Places like this really need the support of tourism and locals to bring them their true just desserts! I'll be back, Westport, and when I do, I'll bring more friends. You're a shining light of kindness in the form of pasta! See you soon!

01/04/2024: Regular portions are massive. Staff are attentive. Carbonara has cream and bacon so I'm not exactly impressed as I was expecting to go to an authentic Italian restaurant.

01/04/2024: I was lucky enough to have been taken out as a surprise dinner here at the Dining room. It was perfect in every way possible, from the welcoming service, perfect warm atmosphere and of course the food was outstanding 👌 well worth a visit and we are looking forward to eating here again soon.

24/02/2024: We had a fabulous dinner here last night.. Services and food are 10/10.. Stickey toffee pudding was the best I have ever tasted.. Well done Dinning Room it's always a great experience with lovely staff.

02/04/2024: Great stop on the Western greenway. The seafood tasted really fresh and was just exactly what we needed to have enough fuel for the last part of the journey. I would also call out their selection of beers on draft - easy to find local craft beers straight from the tap!

28/03/2024: Delicious food and staff are very welcoming. Had lamb shank, which was very tasty with a beautiful rich sauce.

17/02/2024: Food to die for. I got an amazing baked potato. Massive size with tuna sweet corn and melted cheese in a bowl with a warning that it was very 🔥 bowl was on a plate which had an amazing salad to go with the baked potato. All I had to ask for was butter so I could melt it into the potato. Absolutely gorgeous and it was so big I could not finish the potato. Highly recommended as prices are very good as well.

03/03/2024: On a short visit to Westport, we stumbled on this great little cafe. Superb home baked food, cakes etc. Wonderful owners, we had a great chat and it made our visit.
