14/01/2025: Been coming here yearly since 2021 and it’s always a pleasure. Very cozy place with a wide array of pastries and coffee/tea beverages. Anything you want really. Despite what some reviewers have said, the staff here is friendly. They may come across as rude to some, but let’s understand that they are serving the public for over 10 hrs a day. It takes a toll on anyone and there is only so much energy you can put out there as a service industry worker. They were all cordial and I had no issues with that. I was fortunate to sit next to the cafe cat that frequented the place since its inception. The most chill cat that ever lived. Unfortunately she passed last fall, but lived a good life! I’m happy she had a peaceful environment around here till she moved on. That being said, I highly recommend this place for a nice morning start.

30/12/2024: Really lovely atmosphere. My spot on as I was wandering in the neighborhood. They really have a secret garden in the back of the store. The drink was okay but the staffs were very nice.

05/01/2025: I found a hair in my plate. The waitress changed it for another one, she was lovely. Once we were going to pay, they asked me if I wanted to pay separately or together. I said separately and they charged me all, another mistake, but it was ok. My complaint is for the blonde women (older staff) was very rude to us, with 0 customer service. I saw her attending the guys next to my table and she was horrible to them! I've been there good few times and I brought friends and family, but today was the last time. Never again. Now I can understand why there's always new staff. Horrible experience and very disappointing.

10/02/2025: Went in with a friend on a weekday so finding a table wasn’t a problem. The inside is pretty and laid back and the staff are lovely too. We loved the chicken wings and the devil chocolate sundae. Will definitely visit again.

16/01/2025: Went in here last week to get a coffee and a sandwich, the atmosphere was pleasant. It was very affordable. The sandwich tasted better as its homemade compared to big retail chains. Well done to the people in gourmet who make these amazing sandwiches.

06/12/2024: I enjoyed a slice of raspberry pistachio tart for €3.50 and an Americano for €2.80 at Gourmet Tart Co. in Salthill. The taste of the cake was really convincing - fresh, balanced sweetness, and with a pleasant pistachio note. The coffee was also aromatic and offered a solid complement to the cake. On a positive note, there is plenty of seating and the toilets were clean and in good condition. Unfortunately, the experience is marred by a few aspects. The cleanliness of the tables leaves something to be desired as they are usually dirty. The disposable cutlery and cardboard plates used look cheap and take away a lot of the ambience of the café. The lack of WiFi is also a clear negative point these days. All in all, the price-performance ratio is okay, but the lack of attention to detail and the low appreciation from guests in terms of facilities and cleanliness mean that I only give it 3 out of 5 stars. Gourmet Tart Co. could do a lot more with its potential with small improvements.
