07/09/2025: I absolutely love this pub. Just back after two nights in Galway. I spent both evenings here. I had to get back since my last visit at Christmas 2023. Michael was his brilliant and usual welcoming self as was Fiona. They found time to chat as busy as they were with myself and my wife. If I could live there, this really would be my local. Thank you guys for making our visit so memorable. Much love from Paul and Heather.

15/10/2025: One of the best food I’ve had in my life… tacos were unreal, my friend had the Kebab and she said it’s the best Kebab she has ever had, and she’s The Kebab connoisseur. Could not recommend more this place. Definitely come here, you’ll not be disappointed. High Camp

06/10/2025: I was a regular here for over a year and always enjoyed the atmosphere. However, a couple of months ago I had an unpleasant experience with one of the bartenders, the bearded one whose attitude toward me was unnecessarily rude and condescending. There was a misunderstanding in how I came across, which I take responsibility for, but his reaction was completely out of order, even after I apologized. I understand bar work can be stressful, but no customer, especially a regular, deserves to be spoken to that way. It genuinely ruined my night. I’ve since read other reviews that describe similar experiences with this staff member, so it seems I’m not alone. The food is excellent and the music selection is fantastic on busy nights, but none of that makes up for the way I was treated. I won’t be coming back, and I would advise others to be cautious when ordering from him if you don’t want to be spoken down to or made uncomfortable.

16/10/2025: A typical Irish pub on the busiest street in the city. It's always busy, but it's easy to get a table, and they make one of the best Irish coffees I've ever had. Despite all the crowds, the restrooms are clean, and even though the staff is overwhelmed, they're very friendly. It also has a street-facing terrace, a bar area, and small tables in the lounges. 100% recommended.

02/10/2025: Best Irish coffee of my life. I spent the rest of my Ireland trip trying to find one just like it, but there is no comparison.

28/09/2025: Tasty breakfast at a very fair price, friendly staff and fresh ingredients, everything was bang on bar the raw tomato with the fry-up. Cool stained glass frontage too. Recommended.

28/09/2025: Small hotel very close to the ocean in Salthill area of Galway. The rooms are above the tapas bar downstairs. The room is extremely small. Suits one person but would probably struggle with two!

15/07/2025: Called in for Coffee and a Bar of Chocolate when I stopped in Salthill. Very reasonable priced. The sky was so low and visibility bad for driving just needed some coffee. Didn't know food was available

04/10/2025: Found this place on accident but so glad we did! Awesome pub!!!! We had quite possibly the best pour of Guinness in all of our Ireland experiences at Darcy's. Thank you Adam!!!!! You made the right choice leaving your old job to work here!!!! We will be back on our next trip to Ireland!

21/09/2025: Terrific Saturday night live entertainment with James D - you have to hear this young artist. Great Irish pub vibe, lots of singing along, solid selection of Beers. No food - snacks only - so eat before you get there.

09/10/2025: I had such a terrible experience here due to the behaviour of the manager, I believe his name is Raju. Our waitress was lovely but there was a mistake with the order which was completely our own fault as we miscommunicated it. The atmosphere completely shifted and we could tell the waitresses were stressed. The manager proceeded to scold the members of staff in front of the entire cafe! It was so awkward and awful to sit through. This is such a shame as it is a lovely cafe and the food is great. But the managers behaviour was disgraceful and I felt terrible for the girls. It made myself and my friends wonder how angry he gets when there are no customers. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to support a business that treats its staff very unfairly.

09/10/2025: We went for dessert after dinner and really loved the place! The two young ladies serving us were so kind and patient, even when we made small mistakes with our orders. However, the manager’s (Raju) behaviour towards them was really disappointing he scolded them in front of everyone for simply trying to help us. That kind of treatment is not acceptable. They were doing their best, and we truly appreciate their effort. Hope management takes this seriously and treats their staff with the respect they deserve.

23/06/2025: In my opinion this is the best place to get a cappuccino in town. It is affordable, drinks are good and it has a nice patio by the river. We visited Sult almost daily while staying at the university residence.

27/08/2025: We had Ground & Co. cater our wedding garden party a few years ago and they were absolutely incredible from start to finish! Every detail was taken care of and our guests couldn’t have been happier. We offered three main course options along with a beautiful dessert table. The food was outstanding, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to Ground & Co., we were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing the catering was in such capable hands. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

14/10/2025: Ordered a cake for my nieces birthday and it was absolutely perfect! All of the ingredients were super fresh and it was a real crowd pleaser..highly recommend Gourmet Tart!
