The best restaurants in Cashel legal

04/04/2025: Just as other reviews have noted, we came across Mary at the Rock of Cashal and she suggested we stop in after our tour and it was one of the best choices we made our whole trip. The menu was unique and great for kids and adults and a fresh change from the Irish Pub food we had been consuming most of the week. Mary and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and engaging with us and other customers. Well worth a visit and check out the view of the Rock from inside.

23/03/2025: We were visiting the Rock of Cashel a couple of days ago and received a lunch recommendation leaving the castle from a very welcoming woman named Mary. Mary said the restaurant was just a couple minutes away and we wouldn’t be disappointed. Mary was spot on! Immediately walking in to the space you are welcomed into a beautiful atmosphere. Once seated by the host you notice the intentional decor on the table- milk, sugar cubes and wooden spoons with the table number. The food arrived quickly and it was absolutely amazing! The sweet potato soup and the mushrooms with cream sauce were delicious, definitely the best meal we had in our week stay across the country of Ireland. I highly recommend! I too, like Mary, know you will not be disappointed!

14/04/2025: In the shadow of the Rock of Cashel you will find an old church and in that old church you will find a restaurant and to say that this restaurant is special, perhaps maybe even a little bit magical, is not exaggeration. Between the beautiful location, the historic building itself, the clever, stunning menu full of detail and expertise and the charming, friendly staff, this 5 star experience has never failed to blow me away. In my opinion Chez Hans is a gem you won't forget and will want to revisit.

02/05/2025: Grogans Café & Ice Cream Parlor in Cashel is a very cozy place for a little break. The selection of ice cream and desserts is diverse and delicious - the ice cream in particular is highly recommended. The coffee also tastes good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the café is pleasant, although sometimes a bit busy, especially at peak times. A nice stop for anyone traveling in Cashel - whether for a break while strolling through town or after visiting the Rock of Cashel. One star deducted for minor weaknesses in the ambience, otherwise great!

07/04/2025: Very tasty stuff. One item was slightly too dark after re heating, but it still tasted excellent. We enjoyed our time there. Very good coffee too.

26/03/2025: Great coffee shop. Food and coffee are both good quality and a very fair price. Nice indoor seating area upstairs as well as the staff being very friendly and helpful!

19/04/2025: Not a proper breakfast venue. Good for great cup of coffee with some normal usual pastries. Place is a bit too small for sitting in, Take away should be better option.

22/04/2025: Lovely staff and excellent service. The interior is beautifully laid out. Our table was fabulous. The food is very nice and they are more than happy to facilitate gluten free or other options on request. Portions are a little smaller than I'm used to, but the quality of the food is top notch. Strongly recommended for that special occasion.

16/04/2025: I received a gift voucher from a friend at Christmas for this establishment I had high hopes so we both decided to have lunch here on Monday, I’m a very sensitive coeliac and I asked the very rude waitress what was safe for me to have , she proceeded to point out items that could be adapted for me and my dietary needs so I went with the burger and fries, food was very tasty but unfortunately I found out later that it wasn’t Gluten Free or coeliac safe I have been so unwell after the food here I had a long drive back to Mayo and had to stop four times on the way home to use the bathroom find one was a challenge, violent vomiting, and frequent bathroom visits , we are now on Wednesday forced to take two days off work because I’ve been so unwell and in so much pain, completely unacceptable from such a high ranking establishment. This has been a very disappointing experience and one I won’t be repeating , If you are coeliac, or gluten intolerant this is not the place for you . So do yourself a favour and avoid here .

11/03/2025: We had the Signature Tasting Menu and it was the most delicious meal we have ever had. Every morsel was extraordinarily delicious. It was a most incredible experience. The service was impeccable too. We could not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Huge thanks to everyone involved. We will be back!

11/02/2025: My birthday. Spoiled rotten by a three course a la carte at the BB. No complaints though as the food and wine were first rate. Pigeon, venison, banana soufflé, crab, duck all top drawer. Only matched by the great service provided by Dianne and Antonio. Thank you. If you have a special occasion (or even if you don’t) then eat here.

21/08/2024: I was in Spearman's today, lovely, friendly staff. The pastries are delicious. If I'm in Cashel again I'll be back.
