15/03/2026: Driver got the order wrong and blamed me that I accepted the order in the dark!!! (12.45pm) my order, garlic pizza bread, garlic and cheese chips, doner kebab, delivery, peperoni pizza chips and burger, extremely rude considering he messed up.btw garlic pizza bread is a bog standard baguette.

28/10/2025: My wife had no cash and they looked after her anyway!! Excellent service, will definitely be back!!

10/08/2025: Excellent service and food - a young woman named Laura (in a pink mask) was holding the fort by herself during a busy spell, she never missed a beat, and made us two of the best subs we've had in a long time (and we eat a lot of subs!)

27/05/2024: I’ll never return again. Gave them a chance. Got a beef Szechuan and fried rice (had to pay extra) and a chicken and sweetcorn soup. Joked about buying prawn crackers but they’d give me free ones. Was told I’d need to spend more. Bought spring rolls on top for another 4 quid. Got my order. No prawn crackers. Asked why. You need to spend more. I’d gotten a starter, a soup and a main course! That level of hungriness deserves zero support. Other Chinese restaurants throw them in with every order.

18/04/2024: Very bad avoid it on all costs!

10/07/2025: Was looking forward to trying this place for lunch so invited a colleague, we were left standing at the counter for 15 minutes before the girl even took our order. I asked for the roasted vegetable toastie and was told that they didn't have any. It was on the menu so I asked "can't you make one?" And was met with a shrug of sher shoulders. I then asked what was in the sourdough rolls on display at the counter, she answered "ham and cheese" I asked, "what type of of cheese?" since the menu had varying sandwiches with pecorino or scammorza etc. And I wondered if the ham she referred to was cooked ham or prosciutto crudo. She replied, "Oh, I wouldn't know that" I gave up and asked for one of those, i then asked if I could get some tomato on it, she said, "they are all pre-made". I asked, "well, do you not have any ingredients here? No tomatoes? Couldn't you chop one up and add some?" Which, to me, did not seem an unreasonable request, In an "Italian" place, tomatoes being the cornerstone of Italian cuisine. She shrugged again. So I paid for my coffee and sandwich and asked for a glass of water. She said, "sit down and I'll drop everything down to you. Another 10 minutes passed and she brought our food to our table. Cooked ham and still not sure about the cheese. No glass of water! I went back to the counter and asked for two glasses of water, (one for my colleague) she handed me one, I said "sorry, I asked for two glasses" and was met with a sigh. Then she proceeded to argue with another customer because they didn't take their table number to their table, before getting the second glass. Anyone can have a bad day but she clearly wasn't very good at her job and didn't want to be there. Maybe I should lower my expectations, but was quite disappointing. The most Italian things about this place were the imported Italian pasta products displayed on the shelves. You'll find more variety and staff knowledge of the offerings (and get a warmer welcome) at a deli counter in any convenience store chain.

30/12/2025: This is a takeaway and I am not sure I ever had a nicer fillet of beef satay from a takeaway or from a restaurant. Well done. First class.

17/09/2025: Easily the absolute best place to get breakfast in this country, I always get the panini with Pudding and Rashers delivered and a can of monster and it’s always absolutely unbelievable, highly reccomend to anyone

23/06/2025: Amazing staff. They make one of the most filling good value burger deals in town. It is in an ideal location for shops and has indoor and outdoor sitting. They make a decent coffee and tea too. Cannot go wrong with Blackrock Café! Locals can be seen outside of the Café on sunny days and for good reason. Great and friendly staff. Good value for money and an ideal location, what is not to love!

04/08/2024: Auf unserem Irland-Trip das erste richtige Restaurant im Hotel. Das Essen ist mitteleuropäisch und gut gelungen. Ein Panna cotta nicht zu süss, nicht zu stark aromatisiert und mit guter Konsistenz. Auch die Fleischspeisen sind gut zubereitet.
