The best restaurants in Waterford

25/04/2025: Excellent fresh pizzas and the tiramsu dessert is excellent. They are located in the phoenix yard down o connellstreet.

06/06/2025: Breakfast at the hotel was really good. The option for a hot breakfast was definitely the winner! We had the eggs Benedict, was delicious! Andrew was a wonderful help to us, he took his time to answer questions and gave us suggestions for local places to visits.

04/06/2025: Lovely dining room with great character. The set menu had a balance of choices and at great value. So the setting was great, the food was great but the staff were even better. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed with smiles and friendliness. Staff were attentive and showed a keen interest in their duties. They worked as an efficient team and were great ambassadors for the restaurant. Two coach tours were also being attended to, and the sane attention to customer needs was given. Overall we had a beautiful meal in fab surroundings and served by a very professional team

23/02/2025: Absolute rip off. They take advantage of people who have had a few drinks next door. I have been here twice and both times been charged extortionate prices. I went here first and paid for what they charged me which was extortionate. I went tonight and asked for a can of coke and burger no bun as I am a celiac and they tried to charge me 11 euro. Absolutely not! I wanted food but not that much and told them To keep it. In both my times in the staff have been so rude also. Would not recommend here at all. RIP off prices and terrible service. I would give 0 out of 5 if that was an option

02/01/2025: I love coney island but lately the toppings are super scarce just now I rang to complain my pizza was to have 3 toppings so i chose ham x2 and pineapple all I can taste is sauce and cheese, very disappointed, person answered said she would have a word hes been doing the pizzas the last 20 years and said put in the comments everytime you order

27/05/2024: I’ll never return again. Gave them a chance. Got a beef Szechuan and fried rice (had to pay extra) and a chicken and sweetcorn soup. Joked about buying prawn crackers but they’d give me free ones. Was told I’d need to spend more. Bought spring rolls on top for another 4 quid. Got my order. No prawn crackers. Asked why. You need to spend more. I’d gotten a starter, a soup and a main course! That level of hungriness deserves zero support. Other Chinese restaurants throw them in with every order.

04/01/2025: Have been to Hanora’s a few times to dine with friends. The food is always gorgeous and the waitresses are lovely ladies. Mary, the owner, is a very polite lady who loves to pop by each table for a chat. The restaurant is very clean and homely. The homemade bread is delicious and the meal is always fabulous. They always serve red cabbage with every meal so be sure to ask for no red cabbage if you dislike it like myself! The place is a little hidden gem in the countryside and well worth a visit for a quiet meal with friends or family. They also make their own chutneys, jams, salad dressings etc which can usually be purchase there. Their homemade Christmas pudding is by far the nicest I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend this place.
