The best restaurants in Dungarvan

07/10/2024: So far, this is my favourite bar in Dungarvan. Staff are very accommodating and the inside is beautiful. I would recommend The Local if you want a relaxing drink in Dungarvan.

30/09/2024: Great casual spot for food and drinks. Burgers and the menu have their own Waterford twist on them with the naming of it. Staff are always very helpful and welcoming. Pints are also good here. Food is good and very fair value.

18/10/2024: This bakery is top class. The almond croissants are the nicest I have ever tried. Special shout-out to Kleon and Amy who are so friendly and also make the best flat whites! It's a lovely place to grab a coffee.

25/10/2024: What can I say? From the second we walked through the door we were greeted by the lovely Mae who had a little glint in her eye at the amount we ordered.. The menu was too good that we couldn't choose. Between the two of us we ordered the Scampi AndChips, the Ling AndChips and the Fish Tacos. We were pleasantly surprised to see some nice stools and a counter to eat in and even happier to see they did glasses of wine with your meal!! Honestly, from start to finish you couldn't have wished for a better meal. There were only a few chips remaining when we had finished. The quality of the fish is unparalleled, extremely fresh and flaky and cooked to perfection. The scampi was the standout to me while my partner loved the ling. Mae made us feel so at home and we had great chats with her and the chef! This is an absolute MUST if you visit Dungarvan. Don't miss it! The price point was fantastic as well. Literally could not fault it. Thank you so much Mae and the team. We will 100% be back.

06/10/2024: Absolutely delicious food! I had heard amazing things about this place and it did not disappoint. Fish was incredible, flaky and tasty. Chips were delicious. Not a massive portion but so much fish it was the perfect amount. Nicest fish and chips I ever had and will be back soon. Ps they are really friendly and helpful! Thanks for the lovely chat

30/09/2024: Great place to pop in for a lunch to meet a few friends. The nachos are very good and enjoyable which would be my go to when I visit here. Staff members are all very helpful and friendly.

08/10/2024: As we were staying in Waterford we decided to book this restaurant for dinner one night and delighted we did. The restaurant was absolutely spotless and had a good ambience when we arrived. The staff were professional and really friendly throughout our time there. The food was delicious. We all ordered different dishes and each one was cooked perfectly. Would recommend.

30/09/2024: A great little local pub which is nice to get away from the some of the noise in around the square. Pints of Guinness are also very nice.

03/11/2024: The most amazing food, service and atmosphere in a cozy gastro pub. From lunch to evening meals, to regular entertainment, there is nothing left lacking. Brilliant place and prople; highly recommended.

22/10/2024: Words can’t describe how much this is my favourite Indian. There are so many options of food. But my all time favourite is the Tikka Masala it’s so good and it’s perfect in every way. If I was to eat one food for my entire life it would probably be that and the mango Lassi is absolutely amazing it’s so fresh and sweet and mangoy and everything nice and they also have these side potato things and there really good im not sure what it a called. Since the portions are big like, I mean as they should. I asked for a little box to bring the left overs home and I told them the sauce was amazing so they gave me extra sauce and said it was on the house. So not only is the food amazing but the staff as well then they gave im us free complimentary mints at the end. Truly a great experience.

06/10/2024: Ordered 3 dishes, and all of them tastes horrible. Don’t think they know how to cook Indian food. Who would in their right mind would put a cucumber on a biryani. Butter chicken was extremely sweet. Save your money and avoid this one at all cost.

29/10/2024: Stayed there will playing golf in Dungarvan and Gold Coast golf clubs. Very well located, nice rooms decent food. What more could you ask for.

28/10/2024: I loved staying here and would highly recommend anyone visiting Dungarvan to stay at this hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the staff are second to none. I had a lovely lady maybe housemaids manager knock on the door taking the time to ask me if everything was ok for us in our room. I just thought that was lovely. A lot of places I haven't experienced that. We had our breakfasts in our room on both mornings beautifully presented, and again the staff were lovely and cheerful with warm smiles. Again genuine care for guests. Top marks to the chef's who work here for the delicious food and presentation of same. Reception staff are absolutely wonderful, again extremely friendly and down to earth, genuinely interested in their guests stay at the hotel. Met a lovely lady at reception this morning when I was leaving and she couldn't have been nicer in her manner. Very natural and professional at the same time. I don't see this often so I have to say, this hotel in particular have very genuine caring staff. It's what makes the difference I believe in providing guests with a very home from home stay. The hotel is beautiful but I definitely think the staff make it, so thank you all for making our stay a pleasure. We will be returning no doubt about that.
