The best restaurants in Dungarvan

14/04/2025: It was only alright. The food was beautiful very very nice we went for breakfast on the way in the door we got 2 menus thrown at us and told yes want to hurry up because I might own the restraunt I’m not boss of the kitchen and yell get nothing , we glanced at the menu for two seconds and she took them again we didn’t even get to read them , then with my breakfast I asked for no mushroom both came with no mushroom my partner asked the waiter politely for a small side portion of mushrooms and I was told “ no, no no no mushroom no beans no “ then continued to tell the table beside us that the special today was mushroom vaulovaunt and for that do u not use mushrooms ???? We just felt rushed around gazed at and thrown out the door it was a joke (Also the price of steak went up €5 and only in this restraunt ??)

03/05/2025: We arrived late in the afternoon so many items were sold out for the day but we were still able to pick up some pastries which were superb. You can tell a lot of time and effort has been put into each pastry. Coffee there is lovely also. Would love to go back and try their sourdough

26/04/2025: Beautiful Bakery and the bread and pastries are just stunning. I would give the Bakery a Michelin star or 2 so good! Loved the white Sourdough with Nettle, Templegall cheese and Wild Garlic and the Cruffin with Kiwi Gel, Orange Panna Cotta and Passiofruit. Amazing stuff!

06/05/2025: We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant a few days ago. (May 2025) My husband and I were looking for a dog-friendly place to have lunch and I had read some positive reviews ahead of time. We had no reservation but had no problem getting a table and we received the warmest of welcomes with our golden retriever. I assumed that we would be sitting outside but we were shown to a gorgeous covered outdoor area through the restaurant. It was really comfortable and warm with a great atmosphere. The staff were exceptional and very attentive and provided us with a water bowl for the dog straight away. We ordered some tapas items from the menu- calamari, chicken wings, pork belly taco and patatas bravas which were all delicious. I felt it was reasonably priced for the quality of the food and I would definitely recommend 360 cookhouse without hesitation. The thing we were most impressed by was how dog friendly it was as often you will see on a restaurant website that it is when really you have to sit outside with little shelter so this place was a real gem in that sense. Will be back again.

05/05/2025: Giving it a five star as the food was delicious. If I had one criticism it's that the burger is a bit too big, however the flavour is great especially the burger sauce.

30/09/2024: A great little local pub which is nice to get away from the some of the noise in around the square. Pints of Guinness are also very nice.

12/04/2025: Bocca are fantastic. The pizza too. Great staff and atmosphere. I just can't get over the weird Trump ad; it's enough to make me not want to give them money. We go there rarely because of that. Can't financially support an establishment who promotes a leader that disappears people. Please try to show discretion with your advertisements.

24/04/2025: Unfortunately, my chicken breast inside my chicken burger was undercooked for my liking. I noticed some blood inside the middle of the chicken and pointed it out to the waitress who then took it back into the kitchen only to return and told me that the chef said its just the veining in the chicken. I was gobsmacked with this comment! I think the waitress noticed the shock on my face!. I did not eat the chicken and I didnt want to cause a scene as the restaurant was busy. However, when I went to the till the owner completely blanked me. I go to the Interlude quite regular so I was very disappointed. I was charged for this meal, no-one asked about the if we enjoyed our meals, etc. Never had this experience before when the waitress is talking for the chef.

02/04/2025: It was very busy but they managed to get us a table. The staff was really nice and the food was great! I had the goats cheese tartlet it was gorgeous and the small portion with a side of fries was pretty filling. The desserts are to die for!

08/04/2025: What a lovely venue, many thanks to Merrys, for allowing our group to wind down on a sunday afternoon after a great weekend in Dungarvan.

30/03/2025: Merry's is a gem of a pub and restaurant. Great staff great, atmosphere and amazing food. Huge range of local and craft beers - my favourite being blue moon.

20/04/2025: Lovely little place with home made food which was delicious and very friendly staff. Recommend!

21/12/2024: Really disappointing experience. Table in the corner was breezy. Group beside us were loud and just drinking, vaping in the snug and shouting about where they would buy a bag that night. Male staff were very friendly. One female server gave a glass of Prosecco to the table overflowing and spilling down the side. Then slammed two of the main courses onto the table. Never asked did we need sauce salt vinegar for chips and fish. Food itself was nice but desserts were way overpriced €9.50 for a tiny cheesecake, not worth it. Service doesn’t match the food and price doesn’t match service. Won’t be back

08/04/2025: What a treat, many thanks to all at O'conners. Good atmosphere, great venue to watch the grand national horse race, with pint of Guinness in hand.

06/04/2025: Would give zero stars if I could. Staff member needs to learn how to speak politely to their customers even if under pressure. We were rudely told we were "clogging" the stairs when we had just arrived. Would put you off from ever going back.
