The best restaurants in Dungarvan

09/01/2025: Heard good things about the local so thought I would give it a go . Really nice atmosphere as I stepped in from the freezing temperatures and the pub was busy for an early Thursday evening . Ordered a Heineken, ordered the Mexican burger with a wine . Burger was great as were the home cooked chips and drinks were good . Certain places I visit I don’t feel relaxed or welcomed when working away but what a breath of fresh air here. Thank you team for a lovely experience and I will probably come back tomorrow as it was that nice

02/01/2025: Stopped off in Dungarvan on our way from cork to Wexford. Went to the local for lunch. It was very busy which speaks for itself. Service was exceptionally good even though it was packed. The food was gorgeous . The pub itself is devine and we would love to have stayed all evening. Will be back

24/11/2024: A group of 24 of us had dinner here last night. The lay out of the tables set the tone for a great evening. The Amuse Bouche to start was a delicious soup and the main starters were a series of tapas to share, including prawn spring rolls, patatas bravas with beef and hummus. All were very good but the spring rolls were the best I have ever had. Main courses all went down very well. The chicken was cooked to perfection - tender and accompanied by a delicious cream mustard sauce. A request for extra sauce was sorted immediately. Dauphinoise potatoes were creamy and perfectly cooked. A much appreciated break before dessert brought fabulous fruit cheesecake. Others had a chocolate mousse. All plates were empty. What more can I say? The staff here really know how to look after diners. The restaurant was buzzing, even at 5.30pm and tables were turned with the least amount of fuss. The food here is 5 star. The staff are all interested in making the experience the very best. This was my first visit. It won't be too long before I dine again. Well done to all the staff who made this such a great experience for us.

24/11/2024: A group of 22 of us had a birthday celebration here last night and all I can say is WOW. The food was amazing, the festive menu is incredible. The staff are very attentive and professional. Nice division in the restaurant which lends to the atmosphere. A special mention to Viv who I organised the meal with. If in Dungarvan you have to eat here!

29/11/2024: The place was full with people eating, chatting, laughing and enjoying this top class place. We were looked after by Michael and Majella. The food was excellent. We would recommend you to call in

11/10/2024: We had a fabulous breakfast. We ate outside as we had our dog with you. Even so the service was great and the food was warm and very tasty

08/01/2025: I wanted some poached eggs and the polish woman working in the Shamrock was so rude about not making them because they were literally just done breakfast but id been sitting with ten minutes while breakfast was still being served before my order was taken, I was happy to have them with chips but noway, she caused a scene and made me very uncomfortable so I left.

14/12/2024: Prob the best fish chips I’ve ever had in my life. Honestly was 12/10 - all the sauces nice too! I got takeout as I was solo and wanted to relax while watching my shows and this was the perfect dinner in my hotel!! I would do anything to have a restaurant near me like this in Canada!!

01/12/2024: Disgusting food. Fish not properly cooked. Calamari was like rubber, totally inedible. Scampi was undercooked. Felt ill after it.

30/09/2024: A great little local pub which is nice to get away from the some of the noise in around the square. Pints of Guinness are also very nice.

22/12/2024: They say a picture says 1000 words! This originally had 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, beans and toast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. I have my favourite cafes and restaurants locally that I love but I think I would happily make it my business when passing through dungarvan to make a pit stop here at the 2 sisters. Everything was just fantastic from start to finish.

26/12/2024: I visited this place with my friends who belong to different cultures and communities, everyone was very happy and enjoyed the lunch and gathering. Lovely taste in every bite ***** 5 star from me .

22/12/2024: We have being coming here weekly for a couple of years the food is always perfect. The staff are so polite and friendly and always happy and appreciative to see returning customers

13/01/2025: A nice and small place. Great to meet up with friends. Their coffee is really good, just like their cookies. The staff is super friendly. Will be back when I visit again. :)

23/12/2024: Owner standing there on his phone, no service at all. Ended up leaving after 5 minutes of nobody taking an order, only one other person there waiting for a take away coffee, if it was busy I'd understand. Won't be back.
