13/07/2026: Very disappointing experience. The food was very poor in quality and had an unpleasant smell, making it difficult to eat. The restaurant also did not feel clean or fresh. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I hope the management improves the food quality, freshness, and hygiene.

12/08/2026: I love JJ for traditional dinner or lunch. Great selection, fabulous staff, delicious food. Highly recommended for all everyone will find there something to eat.

13/08/2026: Absolutely loved my first visit here! I had the fish and chips with some onion rings, and everything was fantastic. The fish was delicious, and the batter was incredible — crispy, tasty, and it didn’t fall apart at all when cutting or eating it. The onion rings were huge, super crispy and full of flavour, and the portion of chips was generous and you could really tell they were good quality. I’ll definitely be coming back 100%! Highly recommended! 🙌

06/08/2026: Good chipper all round food is always fresh but I got a taco chip and it was the worst iv ever eaten. I like mushrooms and onions peppers but no taste of spice and lots of greasy watery stuff at the bottom chips were inedible. Hopefully make these better not a bad review just honesty

26/03/2026: I'll start off with the owner has the right to refuse I currently drive from Kildare one day a week to see my old man in hospital so juggling with a remote work day and pop on or out a few times. Not the story just context. I'm doing a few hours in coffee shops and have used blackfriars as coffees decent and bright space. The female barista has been so nice. I stay about 3 hours or so, emails and calls you know what most remote humans do Spend normally about 20+ quid each time for the past 4 or 5 weeks, today maybe 14-15 quid. I normally get a bap too. Arrived at 10:15 ish left 1:45 ish. I was leaving today and what looks like the owner told me "you're not welcome to use the shop as an office" I may have been loud while on a call which ok I get, but could have ask me to stop or be quieter, but he went straight to "you're not welcome" I find it mad as the shop is not that busy and light on customers sitting in most days. He didn't ask the screaming 3 year old they are running riot, they are not welcome, or the couple screaming with laugher... I probably spent the same if not more than them. OTT move tbh. Pity your staff are sound, coffee decent and was helpful as I juggle work and seeing my dad. Quiet a sad little man. I'm better off.
