The best restaurants in Waterford

20/10/2024: Mandarin Palace is the very best of Ferrybank. It truly feels like a second home away from home. It is run by a Chinese family that is always welcoming and makes every guest feel comfortable. Its a true Palace, with restaurant and cafe with different spots for everyone to find their place and still be among all. Great music and amazing food. The America flag colours the ceiling for those who cheer on big dreams. And if you just want a pint and play some dart it's also fine.

03/06/2024: Some time ago i gave this restaurant one star. And im so sorry for that! Now im ordering with them for a long time and never got late. Amazing food! Most interesting you nearly always have a same "delivery guy" and that makes you even more welcome! Great job guys!

25/09/2024: A big clean room, great shower and plenty of soap and shampoo. A decent hot breakfast buffet along with lots of other options. Desk staff were supper helpful

24/08/2024: Food and service here was really good. One of the best roast ribs of beef that I've had. Wine list was top notch too.

25/07/2024: Golden jade is the best Chinese take away in the area and I get it every time the portions are big the staff are friendly and the food is delicious and made quickly , I recommend getting the honey and chilli chicken or the Thai green chicken curry.

19/10/2024: Fabulous, great value food . Staff are just so lovely. I'm kind of addicted to Nasi Goreng which is one of the tastiest dishes ever. 100% recommend

18/10/2024: Didn't include rice by default with a curry, we only realised once we got home. Should we drink it like a soup? It should be more clear we have to tick a box to get rice with our food.

18/09/2023: Dog friendly. Good food. Little expensive i thought but it was really nice flavour. Chicken gougons had a harf cripsy coating and the smash burger was really good. Order took a bit long but we'll worth the wait.

02/09/2023: Good food, friendly staff. I had "Squash bhaji" which was really good. Chips could have less or non salt, especially for kids meals.

29/10/2024: Lovely cafe in the centre of John Roberts square. Met the owner while looking at the menu outside. We are dairy free and we were well fed I must say. I had a pulled pork wrap with the most delicious coconut hot chocolate. See the photos. Lovely staff. Nothing is too much trouble. I think it's my favourite place as from today !

13/10/2024: Lovely full Irish Breakfast with home made brown mini loaf 🍞 bread ! Staff helpful and friendly !

25/10/2024: Didn't try the food the atmosphere is good but some of the staff have to leed the other and teach them how to deal with customers

31/08/2024: The best Mexican in the south east!! Fish tacos are to die for I think we have developed an addiction to them tbh! (Just need the slaw) 😉 Chilli beef tacos are also amazing!! I think we could be chingons best customers at this rate 😂 (loyalty cards?) 😂 All the staff are just lovely, so chatty and helpful! (Corey made us tacos the other day I think he needs to be there more 😉) TO DIE FOR!!!! Thanks guys cya soon 😂

10/11/2024: I had high hopes for this place, but it was a disaster from the start. The atmosphere was chaotic, with multiple groups getting rowdy and drinking excessively. The lights were even turned off so everyone could sing “Happy Birthday” – multiple times! It felt like a college party, not a restaurant. The service was just as bad. The waitstaff were uninterested, acting like we were an inconvenience rather than customers paying money to be there. No one bothered to check on us once after dropping off our food, which, by the way, was awful. The portions were laughably small, and the food quality was shockingly low. The won ton soup was so peppery it was practically inedible, and the rest of the dishes tasted like cheap, frozen meals. I could have done better with a freezer aisle run at Tesco. This was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Save your money and go elsewhere – there’s nothing worth coming back for here.

06/11/2024: First time trying tonight, won't be trying again. Got a house special curry, which was so watery and had no flavour at all, also got salt and chilli chicken wings, very disappointed. Plus their website is incorrect,ended up paying two euro more for what was originally advertised. Very disappointed overall, however the staff were lovely. But definitely won't be back
