24/10/2025: I haven't been to this pub in ages. Since university I'd say. It's so cosy and there is a lovely atmosphere there. It has a small upstairs venue too which is cool. The people we spoke to we very friendly too. As was the bar man Tom. So welcoming and witty at the same time. My type of person. A great selection of IPA'S which pleased me no end. 👏🍻🐐

23/10/2025: Best pub in town ! Tom is the nicest ever and it's an absolute beautiful place. It feels warm (the fireplace is so nice when it's cold) and homey and so cosy. A must visit with a large choice of beer ! Thank you for the kind welcome !! We will be back !

06/01/2026: Went for a work night out at Christmas. We go every year as the food has always been good. 4 of our party ordered steak. 3 medium. Steaks were tiny and all were well done and quite tough. In fairness it would be hard to do them any other way they were so thin. Other than that there no complaints.

07/01/2026: I ordered fries with garlic sauce and cheese today. I ended up vomiting badly shortly after. I only ate that and a small piece of chicken. I don’t know what happened — this never happened to me before, and Robertls used to be one of my favorite takeaways. I never want to risk something like this again.

15/02/2026: The service was quick and very friendly, however the only let down was the food. The dishes came out suspiciously quick. The starters were good, but small portions. The pasta was very bad, chicken was like ready to eat chicken not fresh and the sauce was watery, pretty bland, and expected more from an Italian restaurant. The pizza base was so thin and burnt, with the toppings falling off, and again watery. We got a cookie sandwich and tiramisu for desert, cookie was hard and basic Hp ice cream. The tiramisu was basic nothing special. Disappointed in the food overall.

20/12/2025: I have been eating at espresso for years now. I visited the other night and unfortunately left disappointed . The menu appears to have been reduced and a number of the Italian dishes seem to have been removed such as the Tagliatelle Al Fungi (which is strange considering it’s an Italian restaurant). I thought the food was very overpriced for what it was, €19 for a carbonara! And hardly any pancetta in it. For dessert, my friend and I ordered tiramisu’s and tea and were given cups that were visibly dirty and given no spoons to stir our milk. I was also Disappointed to see the portion of Tiramisu had greatly reduced but the price had increased. Overall, the experience was disappointing and I felt like it was poor value for money and I don’t think I’ll be in any rush to return.

27/02/2026: I've been ordering from here for a year now, I've tried a ton of pizzas in Waterford, and this one is the best, the workers are great, they put in a lot of toppings, the taste is wonderful and juicy! I recommend it!

04/09/2025: Very nice staff, the burger was just a little over done, I should have stuck with ramen but I'll definitely be back to try other things from the menu.
