30/09/2026: I've eaten twice there recently. Its shopping centre location disguises the fab eating place it is even though its spotless and has plenty of seating. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I had a breakfast thevfurst time, poached eggs on sourdough toast with smashed avocado basil pesto etc and a cup of tea, class breakfast, yum, the poached eggs were perfect, yummy. I had lunch the second time and equally tasty and with quality ingredients. I'd describe this place as a hidden gem, well worth a visit, my mouth waters thinking of my next visit.

09/06/2026: Spotless, the cleanest chipper I’ve ever been in. As soon as a pizza came out the oven the fella was over to clean any crumbs that came out on to the tray. Every bit of stainless steel is gleaming. Chicken fillet burger is savage too.

15/07/2026: Lovely food, nice atmosphere, the staff are friendly but a bit forgetful, had to ask the chap that served us twice for my drink then twice for a jug of water for the table. It is what it is though.

06/06/2026: Food was nice but the portion sizes for the price are just so bad. 55 euro for a 12 inch pizza and a pasta dish with a portion of chips that I could count how many in this tiny bowl with my fingers. It’s gone like most restaurants in Waterford now, overpriced with tiny portions. Very small deserts that you can see when you walk in for 9 euros a pop, no thanks

22/04/2026: Deli and counter staff are great. Manageress was rude to me when I tried to order a sandwich cos I didn't want to tie my dog outside in case he was stolen. Her attitude was awful. I know rules are rules but there is a nice way to carry them out.

26/09/2026: Usually order every week tonight waited over an hour and half for delivery food absolutely vile chips so under cooked and taste of dirty oil from them and scallops curry so watery I had to make my own genuinely think it’s because my partner had free one on the app.. you would think they would look after loyal customers 🙄🙄

15/07/2026: The food is always delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the place is clean every time I visit. Highly recommended!!!

29/09/2026: Very disappointing experience at La Fontana. The price range on the pasta menu was around €20. The waiter told me about the special which was a mushroom tortellini. The portion was tiny (around 4 pieces of tortellini) and the flavour was bland. The real shock was the price. €26. Considering the pasta menu had mostly seafood and meat pasta options, I was not expecting the vegetarian pasta to be €6 more expensive. I asked if I could speak to their manager and was told to call in a week. I left hungry.

26/09/2026: We had some amazing Tacos and Fries while sitting in the sun and enjoying the weather and the great food. The owner was super nice too!

13/08/2026: Absolutely loved my first visit here! I had the fish and chips with some onion rings, and everything was fantastic. The fish was delicious, and the batter was incredible — crispy, tasty, and it didn’t fall apart at all when cutting or eating it. The onion rings were huge, super crispy and full of flavour, and the portion of chips was generous and you could really tell they were good quality. I’ll definitely be coming back 100%! Highly recommended! 🙌

10/10/2026: The foods nice whole family got sick after it , vomiting horribly not comeing back. Aslo on buffet menu they have no option for vegan or vegetarian they offered sauce with rice not even prawns instead of chicken anything they only offered as a main course sauce with rice . They should have option for all sorts of.

03/09/2026: My family tried this restaurant and had high hopes for a wonderful meal but we were disappointed. The ramen was doused in sweet chilli sauce!!! No depth to the flavour of the broth. The other food we ordered had the same flavour profile of sweet chilli sauce. It’s like the chef didn’t know anything to flavour it with but sweet chilli sauce, something you can buy from your groceries.
