01/04/2026: I had a lovely overnight stay right in the heart of Waterford not too far from food, drink and shopping. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food was lovely as well. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for accommodation for their stay in Waterford as it was a reasonable price as well for one double room and one room with a double bed. I look forward to visiting again.

07/01/2026: We came into this bar in the afternoon after walking around the town and it looked very inviting in from the outside.
A warm welcome, a very good service.
The prices for the drinks was excellent.
The guinness i had was exceptional.
I loved the decor inside.
Overall a very grand experience.

Today I accidently placed an order in the Waterford restaurant instead of the Mayo restaurant and the lady in Waterford was exceptional in dealing with my mistake and was able to redirect my meal to the correct restaurant. Thank you for the excellent customer service in both restaurants

05/09/2025: Came here with my daughter & grandchild.. was made very uncomfortable by the staff & rude to
my daughter. A toasted sandwiche was out of the question as its breakfast time .. told her in a very rude manner ..staff has changed here i wont be back here . So dissapointing.. bla had no butter on either side 🙈 sausages not cooked n streaky bacon was burnt
Wasnt given cutlery had to wait 10 mins to be served and another 20 t9 get food that was not worth 23+ euro

The Old Couch Café

10/05/2026: The surprise highlight of our trip. Some of the most delicate, mouthwatering and perfectly curated dishes (we had the tasting menu) with a wine pairing that blew us away. Luis and Gaston are perfect hosts. A place I will come back to again and highly recommend!

18/05/2026: We stayed here for the weekend. We had a disability room, which was fantastic. Huge room with plenty of space for wheelchair. Gorgeous decor, great bar and live music and the friendliest staff. Couldn't have been better. We're going back in November
13/05/2026: I have stayed at this hotel numerous times going back 7 years now. The rooms are really deteriorating. Air conditioning/heating in the rooms don't work. Wifi connection has been awful. I was completely unable to get any work done from my room.

***Update as requested by the owner- reviewing experience from three months ago. Had "the garden gate" and a matcha latte.
22/05/2025: Super surprise in finding this place for vegetarian and vegan food. We had three full plates normally costing € 10.50 were priced down to €5.50 as it was after 1 pm. Food was very tasty and I am not easily impressed.
