30/06/2025: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Tomas Maher’s Bar – A Whiskey Lover’s Hidden Gem! If you're a whiskey lover, Tomas Maher’s is an absolute must in Waterford! I discovered a delicious local Irish whiskey here – sweet, smooth, and beautifully mixed in-house. I was actually coughing that day, and after a few sips... I felt so much better! 😂 It was that good. I ended up buying the bottle! The atmosphere is warm, local, and full of character – a true Irish pub experience without the touristy feel. The staff know their stuff and are happy to recommend something special (like that amazing whiskey!). It’s the kind of place where you come in for one drink and leave with a story... and maybe a bottle. 🥃 It's definitely one of my favourite stops in Waterford.

29/06/2025: Delightful place... I had a really good Reuben Sandwich! I didn't know you can get that in Ireland... But man it was good! Staff were friendly and my iced caramel latte also hit the spot!

29/06/2025: Bought Coffee, but it was absolutely without any taste. Told the staff, but they could not understand what i meant. With a bad attitude from the staff i got a new one, still tasteless and looking like brown water.

20/07/2025: I had been looking forward to dining at Mara for the longest time - and it did not disappoint. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top class. Luis and his team are nothing short of phenomenal. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and passion for what they do shine through in every aspect of the evening. The highlight? The Basque cheesecake. It was out of this world - easily one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Everything about the meal was memorable, from the beautifully crafted dishes to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. If you're in Waterford, Mara is an absolute must-visit. You won’t regret it.

05/07/2025: Fabulous Dining experience , we had the taster menu and wines to match. It was an outstanding night. the attention to detail and the engagement from the owner and chef was amazing .... would highly recommend.

15/07/2025: It was made very clear to me i was not welcome. Asked for a coffee and croissant. Was told the croissant was "spoken for". Asked for other options and was told they had nothing else, despite the display case full of other pastries and menu listing toasted breakfast sandwiches. Just put out a sign saying you don't serve foreigners.

13/07/2025: The atmosphere is cozy, with friendly staff who clearly know their beans. It’s the perfect spot to relax, catch up on work, or just enjoy a really good cup of coffee. If you're serious about your brew, this place is a must-visit.

25/05/2025: If I could give 100 stars I would, service 10/10. Knowledge around Celiacs 10/10. Presentation 10/10. Taste 10/10. I was working at Mallow home and garden festival and wanted to buy more than one, Charly kept my order in the fridge for me to collect at the end of the day, I popped over at lunch time to get one I couldn’t wait until I got home to taste them. I asked how long they would last because I wanted a few, there really was no need to ask because I’ll have them all gone by tomorrow. 22/04/2025: Our favourite coffee is Yopo - absolutely what one needs first thing in the morning. Blue Butterfly deliver directly to us here, just so easy to order and genuinely the most delicious coffee!

27/07/2025: NEVER a 4**** hotel. Max 3. If you like to sleep with a massive green light on (supposedly for safety…) then this is your place. But don’t dare complaining to staff about it ….

10/07/2025: Every time I've been to Waterford, I've gone here to eat, the staff are always lovely. It's peaceful. The food (sushi and sashimi) is delicious and well presented, but most importantly delicious. Friends have been raving about the Ramen and other dishes too. Highly recommend

01/08/2025: The bar was well stocked and very friendly. I had however gone there to hear some trad Irish music as recommended by a friend but missed out.

14/07/2025: Probably in top three pubs in Waterford city for a pint of Guinness. Arguably no.1.. Enough said.

06/08/2025: Excellent food and service. The brown bread is exceptional and baked in house. Great salads. Chilled place for a family.

31/07/2025: Very disappointing lunch. The cafe is very unkempt and the floor was dirty, there was a horrible smell coming from the toilet area and the cobwebs, leaves and dirt in the little exit hallway was awful. I had a vegetarian quiche and it just tasted off. The coleslaw was dry. The staff were lovely and it has great potential.

31/05/2025: Decent authentic Victorian pub, not much craic from younger staff but that’s like most places nowadays, definitely worth a visit

29/05/2025: Awesome place. This American had heard the term “creamer,” but I had no idea. It was definitely the best Guinness I’d been served all week. Service was good too.

26/06/2025: If I was to use one word to describe this place it would be “consistency”. Whether it’s a takeaway or dine in, every time the food and service have been top notch. Restaurant is small and intimate, with Thai themed decor throughout as expected. Very comfortable seating and very discrete attentive service. Prices are very reasonable also.
