19/05/2026: Luggage service was provided at check-in and check-out. Changing rooms was no problem, as we were unable to use the stairs due to mobility issues. Breakfast was excellent and the service throughout was superb. Best regards, Beate and Marie

18/05/2026: Stayed here with my parents to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The team couldn't do enough for them, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ross carried all their luggage from the car to their room - both parents have walking sticks. Leanne was also a smiling helpful lady. Karen our waitress had such a lovely way with her and kept the one liners coming which charmed my parents. They love the banter! The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well appointed and recently refurbished. The supervisor at breakfast was excellent too, we didn't catch his name but he was another real asset. We caught him about to head out to the car with my parents luggage in the rain, just stopped him in time - we had coats he didn't! This has got to be the friendliest hotel in ireland! Well done everyone, you aced the customer journey 👏🏻

18/06/2026: I had lunch here for the first time yesterday and I think it’s now my favourite place! The pies are incredibly tasty, there’s a good selection of food and the staff are so friendly! I also found out that it’s a real local café with a long history, which makes me respect the place and its owners even more. One of the nice perks – and probably one of the most important ones – is that you get a proper, tasty lunch, just like at home, for a modest price 😻

19/02/2026: I go here regularly for my lunch and i must say the the food and staff are all amazing. Fantastic value for a fresh and delicious selection of cold and hot meals to suit your mood.

31/05/2026: We had a lovely stay at the Viking Hotel Waterford. It is a very nice, quiet hotel that provides a perfectly relaxing environment. ​ ​Our room was incredibly comfortable and featured nice, cozy beds that ensured a great night's sleep. ​The reception staff were absolutely superb—welcoming, efficient, and very helpful. ​It is in a highly convenient location, making it easy to get around the area. ​ ​Breakfast: They serve a decent breakfast with a good variety to start your day off right. ​ ​With its combination of comfort, great service, and convenience, the Viking Hotel is a wonderful choice when staying in Waterford. We would happily stay here again!

08/06/2026: This is a lovely café in the old park rangers house at the entrance to the Peoples Park. The food was lovely with the vegetarian omelette in particular being a highlight. The one and only complaint was that the pancakes didn't seem to be homemade but they were still tasty. There was a large selection of homemade sweet treats at the counter but we decided to be good and not have any.

12/05/2026: An absolute gem in Waterford. I usually don’t like to eat at the same place twice while traveling but we came back the next morning because it was so good. Food was great but the staff and atmosphere were worth a repeat visit.

06/06/2026: Really Lovely Restaurant. Pat and his team provide great service and really good food. Been here 3-4 tines since covid. Always very good.

10/05/2026: Was here for day two of a wedding unreal weather so we were outside and was unreal , good food and friendly staff

05/06/2026: The food was excellent great choice for breakfast and the only thing better than the food was the service and engagement from staff. Came in with 4 kids and were accomdating to finding us a good place ro sit and were always over checking in and following up. 5 stars and will be back to eat again.

30/05/2026: Our stay was nice enough. The room had many amenities, the bathroom was great, especiallythe shower. The weather was warm and there is no AC, so the room was quite stuffy, no air movement. The breakfast was a good spread of hot items, fruit, cereal, pastries, juices, tea and coffee. If you are planning to golf you'll have something to do, otherwise not so much. Our dinner was very tasty and the service was good.

28/05/2026: After we had already booked and paid for this hotel, we received an email saying that there was going to be a private event, and we wouldn't have access to the castle for a 24-hour period. We were staying in one of the lodges. Reading the reviews after the fact, we realized that this has happened to others before. Since the hotel and lodges are on an island, this is particularly problematic. The only other place to get food on the island was at the golf club. The night we went there, they were having a golf event, so we were seated by ourselves in the banquet room. They had run out of the one dish we could eat. The food and wine were mediocre. This hotel needs to do a MUCH better job accommodating its other guests when it is having a private event.

16/06/2026: I recently had the pleasure to deal with Jerri-Ann Durney at Sherry Fitz-Rohan, and she is extremely efficient and helpful. She was not even my agent and still has gone out of her way to help me through this process while I was out of the country. So glad to meet her and the team and they will be my Waterford agent for life!

02/06/2026: A great local pub in the Ardkeen area of Waterford on the Dunmore Road.

22/04/2026: The best Sunday roast in town now that the greenway manor is closed. Portions are great and its got a varied menu.

01/03/2026: Excellent selection of shops and two good cafes, plenty of parking and there is toilet facilities too.

23/06/2026: Tried both the pastrami sandwich and the chicken sandwich. I’d give both a solid 7/10. The bread was excellent and the meat was really tasty, which made both sandwiches enjoyable. The goat cheese was a standout and deserves an 8/10 on its own. The only downside was the crisps, which tasted like they’d been sitting out for a while and weren’t as fresh as the rest of the meal. Overall, a good experience with some great ingredients, especially the bread and goat cheese.

11/06/2026: Such a cute coffee shop with a lovely atmosphere, the lunches and nibbles are absolutely delicious and the girls there are always so kind and polite, definitely would recommend for lunch or a coffee date

14/08/2025: Absolutely love this cafe! The coffee is top-notch – Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of both the drinks and the food. The interior is really nicely done too – clean, cozy, and a great place to relax or catch up with friends. Service is always quick and friendly, which makes a big difference. Definitely one of my go-to spots now. Highly recommend!

07/08/2025: Superb latte & tasty cakes with friendly service. I really enjoyed resting here & relaxing after hectic tour of surrounding attractions. Just off beaten track but so close to centre of town.

23/04/2026: Absolutely fabulous Waterford bar, especially if ur sports oriented. Every sport listed and if not they would try find ur particular sport. Besides this lovely staff and reasonably priced at 4.20euro to 6euro fr most pints
