The best restaurants in Waterford

26/09/2026: Beautiful lady behind the bar and old style bar.

06/09/2026: Absolutely amazing pub to have a few drinks in! Staff here are such lovely people. Would recommend absolutely anyone to come in here!!

03/10/2026: Excellent service and they make the best omelettes in Waterford 👏

01/10/2026: Prompt, attentive, knowledgeable service. Food was nicely presented and flavoursome.

15/09/2026: What a wonderful welcome! The place was clean, cozy, and well-organized, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered the famous Irish stew, and it certainly didn't disappoint….it was absolutely delicious! A very pleasant experience.

14/09/2026: During our stay in Dublin, we ate at the 1837 Bar & Brasserie in the Guinness Storehouse – and to be honest, we weren't expecting such good food at such a tourist attraction. I had the prawns on sourdough toast with smoked lemon, samphire, Dublin Bay prawns, and garlic butter, served with mushy peas and seaweed salted fries. I also had the house salad and mushroom potato. And what can I say? It was absolutely delicious. The prawns were superb, the mushy peas wonderfully creamy, and the salad was a real surprise. Very fresh with a pleasantly subtle dressing – just enough so that the ingredients could still taste of something and not just the dressing. I especially loved the open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. You can watch the chefs at work, and it makes the whole place feel anything but like your typical touristy restaurant. A definite recommendation from me. If you're already at the Guinness Storehouse, I would definitely recommend eating here.

16/09/2026: Spent a great afternoon, great people, fantastic staff and service. A must when visiting Waterford Stevo Glu

14/09/2026: Food was really good , and came fairly quick. Nice pints too

17/09/2026: Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at Domino’s Waterford. The staff member I dealt with was quite rude and seemed uninterested in taking my order. I understand that it can be a busy environment, but I expected basic politeness and better customer service. I hope the management can look into this and improve the customer experience.

19/07/2026: Customer service are really bad .wont back again

15/08/2026: Lovely hotel but room to improve. Location is brilliant, staff are lovely. Decor is really nice. There were a lot of spiders, in bedroom, Bar and the outdoor seating area has a lot. Room size was great, really loved the river view. The bed was a little hard but fine. Fan in the room for the hot weather, we had to leave the window open all night and woke up to seagulls which I didn't mind. Food was lovely, had the salmon with veg, it was very well cooked. The cocktails are really good. I was given a glass with someone else's lipstick stain on it but they changed it for me.

21/07/2026: Got married here and I could not be happier with the night. The food was excellent. Usually wedding food isn't great, but this was absolutely not the case here. The starter and mains were loved by everyone. All but one of the dishes on the whole menu were gluten free also, we had a few celiacs so it was nice that they had plenty to choose from. Special thank you to Chris for his incredible work in helping the day go smoothly. He was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend

19/05/2026: Luggage service was provided at check-in and check-out. Changing rooms was no problem, as we were unable to use the stairs due to mobility issues. Breakfast was excellent and the service throughout was superb. Best regards, Beate and Marie

18/05/2026: Stayed here with my parents to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The team couldn't do enough for them, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ross carried all their luggage from the car to their room - both parents have walking sticks. Leanne was also a smiling helpful lady. Karen our waitress had such a lovely way with her and kept the one liners coming which charmed my parents. They love the banter! The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well appointed and recently refurbished. The supervisor at breakfast was excellent too, we didn't catch his name but he was another real asset. We caught him about to head out to the car with my parents luggage in the rain, just stopped him in time - we had coats he didn't! This has got to be the friendliest hotel in ireland! Well done everyone, you aced the customer journey 👏🏻

05/09/2026: I’d live inside the cafe as if it was my own living room cause it’s sooooo cozy! Got a simple breakfast to start the day 😄 bro on the till super friendly and the ginger gal made me a delicious oat decaf mocha. Croissant was also fresh and tasty. There are sits inside and outside and it’s dog friendly place.

16/08/2026: Food was delicious, I am celiac and was happy to enjoy a very good gluten free burger (the meat was perfectly cooked). They also adapted to my friends diet (removing cheese from pizza / burger).

12/07/2026: Read this was a popular sports spot in the city. Met expectations! Watched a World Cup quarter final. Busy spot with lots of movement. Screens left and right.

14/05/2026: We recently had a small 40th birthday party down in Jarrz and it was perfect. I was dealing with Suzanne via email beforehand to confirm and she was very helpful. We wanted somewhere with a good atmosphere, where we could get food and also watch the Arsenal match. It must be the best sports bar in Waterford at the minute with the sheer amount of screens and every single sports catered for. We had the match on in front of us, we ordered food down from Espresso and the bar staff were very good. There was also karaoke at the end of the night so our party were happy out!

24/09/2026: Its a lovely store, always clean and pleasant staff.

03/09/2026: While they had updated the shelving, it looks old and certainly not in keeping with a modern store.

09/08/2026: Lovely and clean rooms, Good buzz in the resturant over the weekend also at the evening ! Food was excellent also from breakfast to dinner. Always happy to stay here and look forward to the next time im down.

01/06/2026: One of the best stays we had The bed room was spotless the food was perfect and services was great very good car parking as well staff were very friendly

11/10/2026: I'm taking off one star, the Irish security guard wouldn't let a group of 6 people in,

09/10/2026: A quaint Irish pub in the heart of Waterford. Excellent beers, simple and tasty food, friendly service, and live music. Everything you could ask for.

28/09/2026: We had a very positive experience dealing with Tom during the purchase of our new home. Tom kept us informed and responding promptly whenever we had a question. Tom's clear communication and support made everything much easier. We really appreciated his assistance from the initial viewing right through to receiving the keys. We would happily recommend Tom to anyone buying or selling a property.

11/09/2026: First time buyers - viewed a property with John and told him what we were looking for. He very quickly let us know what he had on offer and what would be a suitable fit for us. We had the next place viewed within 2 weeks and sale agreed within two days. Smooth and transparent bidding and professionalism unlike other processes we have gone through. Contracts and questions were answered and completed in a timely fashion. From this experience I would reccomend John as a buyer/seller.

13/09/2026: Seems to have the same managment company looking after it. In way better shape and managed very well compare to kilkenny market cross and more open shops

03/09/2026: Excellent selection of shops and two good cafes, plenty of parking and there is toilet facilities too. Great selection of shops at very reasonable prices especially the butchers!
