05/09/2026: We went to celebrate a special occasion and the restaurant did not disappoint in any way! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with sourdough and brown grain bread; they had a set menu that I highly recommend! Let's start with the starters: we chose the croquette with tomatoes (veg), I can't put it into words, creamy, flavorful, and comforting, wonderful 10/10. For the main course, we ordered the beef, which came at exactly the temperature we chose, and my husband was very happy with his choice. I asked for the vegetarian option, which wasn't on the menu; I asked the waiter, and that night we were served spinach tortellini with zucchini and shallots – an incredible mix of flavors! For dessert, I ordered a raspberry soufflé with pistachio ice cream, and my husband went for chocolate mousse. I think it's important to mention that the portions aren't absurdly large, but they are very filling! We ordered carrot sides, which are great for sharing. We couldn't finish everything, unfortunately, but it was very good. It was our first time there, and it was amazing. The wine list is very diverse and extremely affordable. I highly recommend going there!

05/08/2026: Amazing place to visit. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. So visit when hungry, the atmosphere of the pub was great lots of friendly people to have a chat to. You go there and make so many friends that were previously strangers.

27/08/2026: 5/5. Stopped into 1837 Bar & Brasserie at the Guinness Storehouse and went for the pork belly from the Land menu, paired with a West Indies Porter. The pork belly was excellent — exactly the kind of rich, hearty dish you want alongside a darker beer. The West Indies Porter was a great match and probably made the meal for me. Plenty of flavour without overpowering the food, and a much more interesting pairing than simply going for the standard Guinness. Considering you’re eating inside one of Dublin’s biggest tourist attractions, I wasn’t necessarily expecting the food to be a highlight, but this absolutely delivered. Pork belly and a West Indies Porter. Hard to fault that combination. Service was prompt with a nice window view.

19/05/2026: Luggage service was provided at check-in and check-out. Changing rooms was no problem, as we were unable to use the stairs due to mobility issues. Breakfast was excellent and the service throughout was superb. Best regards, Beate and Marie

18/05/2026: Stayed here with my parents to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The team couldn't do enough for them, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Ross carried all their luggage from the car to their room - both parents have walking sticks. Leanne was also a smiling helpful lady. Karen our waitress had such a lovely way with her and kept the one liners coming which charmed my parents. They love the banter! The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well appointed and recently refurbished. The supervisor at breakfast was excellent too, we didn't catch his name but he was another real asset. We caught him about to head out to the car with my parents luggage in the rain, just stopped him in time - we had coats he didn't! This has got to be the friendliest hotel in ireland! Well done everyone, you aced the customer journey 👏🏻

31/07/2026: Had a great few hours here trying all kinds of Irish whiskeys we had never heard of. Adam and Lee were both delightful bartenders. Great recommendations and also honest un-recommendations. We will be back!

12/09/2026: The service was very good and fast. The food wasn't good. I ordered the salmon with asparagus and couscous. Everything was completely bland. The portion was basically couscous and asparagus with salmon (since the portion of fish was tiny). The salads also lacked flavor, although the chicken that came with the salad was okay. I recommend the place only for a drink.

07/09/2026: Was there at night for drinks and the pace was hopping with a great atmosphere. Mostly a young crowd but fairly mixed. We went there the next day for lunch. I had the hake with cous cous. It was nice. My wife had the prawn pil pil and said it was delicious.

18/09/2026: Food is grand, pints and staff are great! Could really do with sorting the ladies toilet out though 😭

06/09/2026: Went here in August and despite it being busy we managed to get a table that had previously been reserved. Good variety on menu and I had the roast beef. A huge and generous portion well worth the money. Only negative aspect was the waitress attitude, could do with being more friendly.

24/06/2026: My wife and I tour Ireland. It was many years ago I was here. Enjoyed all of Ireland , the people, places. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The country near the coast has some great small towns to see.

10/05/2026: Went for lunch in sat last, total disaster Luke warm food, cold chips,no bar service to table, despite having 4 younge men hovering around cleaning tables.Had to go to bar to order drinks with our meal,and they didn't even get that right.On the positive I got a free choc brownie,Have always went to the Granville,for bar food,and always got good food and service.Sat carvery was dreadfully,service dreadfully,waited about.20 mins for a sandwich,which came.with warm meat ,and cold.chips.Wont be going again,my.family.were down for the day,I was embarrassed at what we got
