14/08/2025: Absolutely love this cafe! The coffee is top-notch – Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of both the drinks and the food. The interior is really nicely done too – clean, cozy, and a great place to relax or catch up with friends.
Service is always quick and friendly, which makes a big difference. Definitely one of my go-to spots now. Highly recommend!
07/08/2025: Superb latte & tasty cakes with friendly service. I really enjoyed resting here & relaxing after hectic tour of surrounding attractions. Just off beaten track but so close to centre of town.

***Update as requested by the owner- reviewing experience from three months ago. Had "the garden gate" and a matcha latte.
22/05/2025: Super surprise in finding this place for vegetarian and vegan food. We had three full plates normally costing € 10.50 were priced down to €5.50 as it was after 1 pm. Food was very tasty and I am not easily impressed.

18/09/2025: Food was excellent. All the stuff took amazing care of us and made certain we had everything we needed. And its the small stuff that make this place amazing, in my opinion. There are Asian decorations everywhere, bits and pieces you can admire while eating. And they even had dishes they would heat with candles to make certain the food remained toasty warm throughout the meal.
Amazing place, totally recommend and will certainly go again soon.

11/09/2025: A wonderful place for a relaxed treat. We just went for coffee in the afternoon, it was a beautiful day to sit in the garden and enjoy the surroundings, but the interior looks very comfortable too. Do book in advance or you'll have to pay to get across on the chain ferry.
09/09/2025: Was at a 40th wedding anniversary in the golf club. Wonderful time couldn't fault anything. Love having to get the short ferry ride over to te island. 😍

24/08/2025: One of my favourite restaurants in Waterford. I had a lovely meal there Friday evening with my daughter for a special occasion. The food was delicious as always. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend Espresso for eat in or take away.

15/06/2025: Today I went with my children to the place, I left very upset, I waited an hour for my order and it didn't come, we had to ask for our money back.For this reason I cannot evaluate the meal, the service left something to be desired due to the delay and disorganization.

Staff are so nice and friendly.
20/07/2025: The first red flag for us was there was only person on service and waited a long time to make our order . That said he was a good guy just over run. As to the food the meat balls for starter were over cooked yet sauce was nice . The mains were dreadful and like something you would give to your dog with the leftovers from yesterdays dinner . Roast potatoes reheated and you would need a chainsaw to cut through them . Chicken over cooked and roast parnips and carrots were limp and soggy and on a bed of tasteless mash. Gravy tasted like bad wine. Left without having the deserts as we didnt have high hopes after was we were already served.

20/07/2024: The pizza is top quality delicious goodness combined with the most friendly staff I've ever encountered makes a visit to this hidden gem a must. After dinner I got talking about the sport of Irish Hurling with the chef. I've never seen a live match so the chef gets a hurling paddle from his car to show me the critical tool of the game and gives me a hurling ball to take back home. I'm overcome with joy from experiencing the best of human nature. Please pay this wonderful establishment a visit. You'll be glad you did.
