12/03/2026: Got served today by a lovely gentlemen named daniel. coffee and overnight oats were both 10/10 definitley reccommend and will be coming back!

23/06/2026: Great little coffee shop next to the house of Waterford. We had a mocha, flat, white, and oat milk latte. They were delicious.

15/07/2026: Excellent experience! I had two starters, which were more than enough for me, and both were absolutely delicious—the crab salad and the scallops were outstanding. Of course, I still had room for dessert, and the dark chocolate pavé with raspberry sorbet was the perfect finish to the meal. The service was excellent throughout—attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about both the dishes and the wine, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you’re ever in Waterford City, be sure to treat yourself to this fantastic restaurant. Highly recommended!

04/07/2026: Had a fabulous meal in Union - never left a restaurant review before but felt Union deserved one so making effort here. We walked in about 6.30pm on Thursday and had no problem getting a table at that time.? We had two beautiful starters - great flavours and presentation. I had monkfish as main with BBQ broccoli - the bisque sauce around monkfish was so tasty. My partner had a. By ratify fish dish also. We had a rather good Italian wine from a great wine list which bumped up the price of our meal somewhat! Overall we will be back soon - delighted to find such a top class restaurant in the heart of Waterford city.

15/07/2026: What a unique place. It felt like I can become a local here. The barman was nice enough to answer some questions about their whiskey, and even gave us a little to taste, for free. Although he didnt seem like one for small talk or chats, but he did try. He has extreme attention to detail, which I found sweet, it was like he wanted everything to be just right for us. The atmosphere was amazing. I wish I could be a fly on the wall and just exist there for a while.

22/06/2026: I stayed there for 3 nights and the AC did not work at all. We couldn’t sleep because the room felt like a sauna and they promising that the AC will kick in. I booked the hotels months in advance so that we could get a good night sleep before the marathon. Poor service and I don’t think they care about customers. I didn’t expect this service. Also it’s so noisy.

24/05/2026: The hotel was overall okay, but unfortunately our experience had a few disappointments. The rooms were fine, but nothing particularly special. The location is very good and convenient, which was definitely a plus. Parking over the weekend was very limited and quite difficult. The biggest issue was the service in the bar and restaurant. On Saturday night I ordered a cocktail and was told I would need to wait 20 minutes. The following day at dinner, they forgot to bring our child’s meal. My husband and I were already halfway through our food before we had to ask where it was. Even after reminding them, it took another 10 minutes or so to arrive. There were also a few basic details missing during dinner—things like salt, sauces, and even cutlery with dessert—which really should already be on the table or brought without asking. The food itself was okay, but nothing extraordinary. My husband also found a hair in his meal when he was nearly finished, which was very disappointing. On Sunday there seemed to be plenty of staff around, but the service still wasn’t great. The staff themselves were polite and friendly, so I can’t fault them personally, but it didn’t feel well organised. We stayed on the third floor with a view of the rooftop, where there was a noisy fan or ventilation unit running, which wasn’t ideal. Another issue was the Wi-Fi—there was no internet in our room, only in the corridor. It worked throughout the rest of the hotel, just not in the room. We reported it and were told they reset the router, but it didn’t solve the issue. To be fair, they did offer to move us to another room, but as we were leaving the following morning we decided not to change. Overall, the location was great and the staff were friendly, but the service and attention to detail let the stay down.

23/06/2026: My partner and I booked a two night stay here as we were taking part in the Waterford Viking Marathon. Reception staff and bar staff were lovely and friendly. We found the breakfast service on the morning of the Marathon very disorganised and there was a very rude and aggressive young blonde waitress. We very much didn't appreciate this before our Marathon. Breakfast the following morning however was a much better experience with far nicer staff members. Food is ok. A side dish listed on the menu was not available to order, but then offered with the fish dish was a bit peculiar. Great location but rooms were nothing special and no complimentary water provided in the rooms.

28/05/2026: Was at a communion the service was chaotic sn all over thr place an it wasnt that big of a crowd in the room id say 5p to 60 peoplr max somr of the food was cold asked for a baby bowl csme out with a full plate for a 6 month old an charged no wont be back
