The best restaurants in Waterford

17/09/2025: Bog standard Asian "street food" from a chain resturant. It's fine if unremarkable, bit on the pricey side for what it is.

17/09/2025: Foods so delicious but customer care was very disappointing. We were there for an hour and no one ever came up to ask every thing is ok or need anything? It was a quiet time and no one there too. Ask for the bill but have been told to pay at the counter .

14/08/2025: Cofee is nice Got a few pastries here unfortunately the crossaints were very chewy ,also I had a few takeaway pastries girl behind the counter squashed all in one bag, not the most pleasant service to be honest I find the store in dunmore is way better , friendly staff the girl that served me out there she had put all different cakes and pastries in little boxes way nicer to deal with ,pitty

14/08/2025: Bustling cafe with excellent food. The lady at counter who seemed to be the owner or manager greeted me warmly as I arrived and I was seated immediately. Food was excellent,10/10

29/06/2025: Cafè Aroma Kilbarry Shopping Centre. Conveniently located at The Kilbarry Centre with all the car parking one will expect in a supermarket / shopping complex. It is worth noting that there are 2 cafes here, one is located inside the supermarket, but Cafe Aroma is an independent one located along the front of the centre. A compact premises, but tastefully decorated in Contemporary vibrant manner ensuring it is both practical and functional. They have maximised their seating capacity very well, with seating inside and outside, and all tables are square (ideal for two) but this allows them to put them together or separate them on demand to create multiple seating options in a compact environment. This is a busy spot at peak times, but it has a good feel to it. Comfortable yet efficient, although at peak times (if you have any decency) you shouldn't really occupy your table for longer than necessary if seating is at capacity. I have seen people sit there reading their phones or taking up a table while sipping on a coffee for an extended period while staff try to cater for incoming customers. This is a pet hate of mine, not just here, but anywhere. Of course the staff will never make you feel that you have outstayed your welcome, but when in a popular spot like this, with limited capacity, and high demand, a little bit of courtesy doesn't go astray. Everything is spotless, absolutely no comments to make here regarding cleanliness. Definitely up to and beyond expected standards. The Service here is incredibly efficient, they have it set up well, and you will be seated, and served in a prompt manner. The staff are very adept at turning tables around quickly and maximising potential. Worth noting that several staff have worked here for quite a while, which would give the impression of a happy workplace, which shines though in the service they deliver. The Full breakfast here is great. The quality of the food is top class, well cooked and plenty of it absolutely no complaints. The toilets are not actually located in the cafe, but you must leave and go in the exit door from the supermarket where the toilets are located. Obviously not feasible to have them within the cafe due to space limitations, but worth noting if you need to pay a visit, try to make one before or after your food. The only observation i would make, and it could be the legs of the chairs, or maybe the floor had been recently cleaned / polished but the chairs had a tendency to slip very easily on the floor, which happened to me when i sat down and the chair slid away from me as I did so, I did make me wonder if an older person of restricted mobility did this there is potential danger of the chair sliding away from them as they take their seat. Maybe this was a one off. I’ll check again in the future.

02/07/2025: We had an absolutely amazing time at The Great Escape in their 90's Video Store Room. The room itself had some puzzle aspects that we haven't seen in other rooms so it felt super fresh. Mark was our host and he was super friendly. I can't recommend this escape room enough!

20/08/2025: I don't eat takeaway much, maybe once every 2/3weeks. I have to say when I do it's 'Shiki' always. From ordering to collecting, the staff are so nice '5star'. I just walked in ordered 'Kung Po Chicken' -delicious. If I get takeout I usually get fried rice dishes and they are hearty portions and delicious to from 'Shiki'. Thier 'Poke Bowls' look very tempting ...yano what ALL they cook is very tempting. 👌

The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. We especially enjoyed the Party bucket and the gravy. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience."

28/08/2025: Nonsense of a place, only went there because my kids really wanted to try it. First off it's way too expensive, I mean what the hell?? The stupid ordering kiosk is a joke, I couldn't get what I wanted, it kept showing me meal like deals and stuff instead of me just picking what I wanted. After a frustrating 25 mins trying to order something just so I could get out of there, we waited another 25 mins before I got our order which was almost flung at me by a foreign guy, if I hadn't my kids with me I would have dragged him outside!! Then the final insult is the so called 'finger licking good' ..food was very bland...no fingers were licked I can assure you if that, was dull and tasteless, even my kids apologised to me for asking to go there, they never want to go there again so at least that's something! Can't understand how anybody goes there, should be shut down.

05/07/2025: Review: Poor Customer Service – Very Disappointed We visited this restaurant at 5 PM sharp, right when it opened. Despite being the first ones there, the waiter placed “Reserved” signs on every single table and gave our group of four people a small, uncomfortable table, even though the entire restaurant was empty. We had our food and finished by 6 PM. When I asked about the empty reserved tables, the waiter casually said, “All customers are running late.” So we were made to sit at a cramped table for an hour while the better ones stayed empty—just in case someone else showed up later. To make things worse, when we left, the waiter just said “Goodbye” with no proper courtesy or effort to thank us for coming. It felt like we weren’t valued at all. This is not how customers should be treated. Do we really need to support places that don’t respect the people who actually show up on time? 13/09/2025: The food and atmosphere and the owner at the billing station was all good Even he gave us 10% discount for HSE worker in hospital The lady was kind enough to modify our food as halal/vegetarian as it could be I even asked them if they use same pans for bacon and meat stuff and they said they do it separately for sure French toast was not too moist for me but the ice cream and beetroot brownie was too good, would love to go there for that Over all its a beautiful experience inside and out as its a big area of plants and flowers
