04/04/2024: The worst burger I’ve had in a long time pure slop they used to be nice but gone downhill. Also junkies lying sleeping in the place to awful place

30/03/2024: Just okay. I expect that there are bundle of burgers and fries but you need to purchase it separately. Pricey for solo eater. Better for partners or group.

15/11/2023: The best steak on the stone !!!! Great localisation!!! The atmosphere is brilliant!!! And all the staff are great !!!! I really recommend this restaurant!!! Me and my husband had our wedding anniversary dinner yesterday and it was awesome!!!! We came from Celbridge to have that stake and we will be back for sure !!!! And desserts after our meal were amazing!!!

23/04/2024: Leider 3 von 5 Hauptgerichten bestehen aus Schweinefleisch. Für ein BBQ Restaurant ist das sehr wenig. Ich habe viele Hänchengerichte oder auch Lamm erwartet. Ich habe das Brisket und die Beef Ribs bestellt. Die Beef Ribs sind leider viel zu fettig. Es hat mir den Magen verdorben. Nicht das das eigene Tierfett sondern das zusätzliche Fett war zu viel. Es hat auch nicht wirklich Smokey geschmeckt. Die Mashed Potatos waren nicht selfmade. Das Brisket war toll. Die Hänchenflügel nicht wirklich gut, die Qualität des Fleisches war schlecht. Merkt man an der größe der Flügel. Das waren eher Wachtelflügel. In meiner Heimat sehen Hänchenkeulen und Flügel anders aus. Würde ich als Tourist nicht empfehlen. Geht lieber in einen Pub und esst traditionell irisches Essen.

30/03/2024: Overall Thoughts: in Dublin for a High Field Trip. Obviously as an American we LOVE burgers. We had some time before touring a museum and needed some lunch! The restaurant sits right in the river…so the view was nice. I’d give this place a 4.8 out of 5. Friendly staff, great food, great atmosphere! 1. Restaurant Type: Burger 2. Coke Or Pepsi: Coke 3. 30/03/2024: I remember when BBQ spots started popping up in Dublin, with Pitt Bros, My Meat Wagon, and BISON leading the charge. Each had their strong points; BISON was my go-to for brisket. Fast forward to the present, and it’s clear things have changed. Pitt Bros and MMW have kept up the pace, but BISON has sadly fallen behind. Decided to give BISON another go while in town. We got seated quickly, which was a plus. However, it took 25 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, only to be told they’d be back in 5 minutes. Meanwhile, a couple who arrived after us got their drink order in before us. It took a full 30 minutes from sitting down to get our order taken, and another 30 for the food to arrive. The place wasn’t even busy. Now, onto the food - and not in a good way. The brisket was so far off the mark, it was like thin slices of roast beef, served with watery gravy. The sausage was tough, and the less said about the ribs, the better. The coleslaw seemed worse than what you’d pick up in a supermarket. My other half ordered a pulled pork burger, which turned out to be just chunks of pork on a bun that you had to pull apart yourself. Not exactly what you’d expect. Honestly, I don’t know why I thought of giving this a 2/5 initially. It was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in ages, from the service to the food. I’m adjusting it to 1/5 because even the value for money was poor. A real letdown from what BISON used to be. It looks like BISON’s best days are well behind it. Lastly, this place should be two separate places on Google. The Bison Bar is still fantastic. The Bison BBQ restaurant is terrible.
