01/06/2026: I was with a group who had the great pleasure to be given a tour of the yards, horses facilities and history by Patrick Mullins, a pure gent who took great pride in showing us around and answering all our questions, many thanks to Niamh and Patrick for a great day.

06/01/2026: One of the best if not THE best bar in Carlow/Laois. Staff are always pleasant, friendly and efficient. Always a good atmosphere no matter what time or day of the week. Decent price for an always fantastic pint, not one of your overpriced rip off pubs we see so much of now. Very clean and extremely well run establishment.

05/05/2026: Came from a hike wanted to sit outside and get some coffee and cakes and see the menu for a lunch with relatives on another day. This did not happen as the hostess rushed outside to prevent us from entering(which we had no intention as were with our puppy). She said sorry this is a restaurant we dont do drinks. There was noone outside and plenty of room to sit and not bother anyone. Very disapointing response and not what we ecpectef to here. Not returning here.

20/07/2025: I love this place! Owner and staff are really nice, the coffee is delicious and the food is so tasty. My favourite dish so far would have to be the dynamite spice box - I allowed a relative to taste it; next thing you know they are looking to share the box between us! I highly recommend this place.

24/02/2026: A good range of options for a very reasonable price. Menu options change daily. Friendly and accommodating staff. No "kids" menu but customised portions available for all ages, which is a far superior setup. Will definitely eat here again.

18/04/2026: I can confidently say that La Gusto Pizza serves the best pizza on the island! The service was incredibly quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. You can really tell they use only high-quality ingredients — everything tasted fresh and full of taste. On top of that, the staff were extremely polite and welcoming, which is very important to me. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

25/10/2025: We had our wedding in the Woodford Dolmen last weekend, and I am forever grateful!! From the reception staff to the housekeepers, everyone was so friendly. A special mention to the manager, Will, who was on duty the day of our wedding. The food and drinks were of a high standard through our entire stay. All of our guests have been raving about their experiences! Thank you ever so much for helping to make our day so special. We will certainly be back.
