La Gusto Takeaway & Pizzeria

16/03/2026: This restaurant is in a beautiful spot, you can sit inside, or on the roof with the view of the Irish sea. During my stay in Port Erin I ordered Halloumi Fries, Mozzerella Sticks, Margarita, and Oreo Tiramisu. The tiramisu was probably the best tiramisu I have ever had.
05/03/2026: I hope that this was just a not good night but despite taking into account the delivery time, the meal felt as if it had been made then left an hour plus before departing for delivery.
I’d have sent it back had I been in the restaurant which I know to be fine.
Extra salad? Translate limp lettuce. Sauces? Sogged into the (untoasted) brioche. Halloumi ~ breaded from frozen pack. It was just really substandard, disappointing.
It’s a shame. I was looking for something nice to eat having just got out of hospital.

23/02/2026: Had Sunday lunch today, Roast Beef with all the trimmings.
It was delicious 😋. The flavour so good, I would highly recommend it for food. Lovely friendly staff.
Help needed at the cashier's desk, would help greatly with queue.
I will be back for more 👍

20/09/2025: The best cafe food in Carlow! Best breakfast bap known to man 👌🏼coffee is fabulous. Great selection of both gluten free meals as well as cakes. The Christmas sambo is just stunning.
Very reasonably priced too.

10/04/2026: Overpriced (was 20 euro for a burger). always has loud kids or screaming babies in the restaurant (somehow even on weekdays during lunchtime)
The staff are pleasent though, and the music selection *thing* at every table is a nice touch
Would recommend if you dont mind pricey food and loud noises, but its not for me

08/04/2026: I turned up her on spec last Tuesday @ 9:00pm after a stressful trip from the UK via Rosslare heading to Achill. The reception staff were brilliant, helpful, kind relaxed and friendly and .
I had missed dinner but was made a lovely substantial roast chicken salad sandwich free of charge, which I had with a good pint of Guinness in the bar, they even gave me a discount on the room, rather than stinging me.
The bedroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable and quiet even though not far from the town centre. Breakfast was great well cooked and served on a hot plate! Yes the hotel is a bit dated but its well maintained and the staff are great and its very clean.
I will book to stay there again and and I would like to say a big thanks to all the staff for making me so welcome.
