16/11/2025: Went in just for 2 bags of chips wow place looks amazing all new sings really nice big clear well designed place spotless staff so lovely owner jentle man young lady so polite chips so nice lots vinegar and salt so tasty wish them all they best in there success thank you

08/11/2025: We came here to try famous corn dogs and boy they did not disappoint. We'll be back for more and try more stuff.

16/12/2025: The best bar not only in carlow but country. Lovely family run pub. Old world decor but with pool tables in a separate area of bar

16/09/2025: Savage pub. Excellent drink. Really nice beer garden with great atmosphere. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

17/11/2025: Good evening, what can I say, the food is okay, fish and chips were okay but we ate better, the steak was too fatty, the pizza had little toppings, the tea was delicious, the soup was delicious, the potatoes were okay. The staff is cold, they turned off the TV and said they wouldn't turn it on, if you want to watch TV, go downstairs (Maybe as a nightclub it's good, if you want to sit with your family, it's better to find something else.

04/10/2025: Nice place for drink and food But the staff management is the worse.. tables with nobody. Not place where to eat. Terrible management.

16/12/2025: This use to be 5 stars . I went here this evening , I’m usually not one to complain but I just thought how they actually dealt with the complaint was terrible , when our food came it was luke warm . I was sitting facing towards the pass, we ordered 2 wings , 2 garlic fries and a portion of onion rings . The chicken wings were sitting on the pass for atleast 5 minutes before the fries were ready , then when the fries were ready they were placed up onto the pass and sitting there for a following 2 minutes before the onion rings . So the wings are sitting under the lights for well over 5 minutes at this stage , when the chef rang the bell for our order the waiter went up and took the other order for the other table which came in after us , so our food was sitting there for even longer ( another 2 minutes ) . To be honest at this price this is just not acceptable , we paid 61 euro for luke warm wings & onion rings ( chips were fine) . When we told the man at the desk he apologised and said he will let the chef know , which is fair enough but they could of atleast took something off the bill we eat none of the wings , and left half the onion rings as they went cold . I love coming here , but unfortunately it was very disappointing , hopefully you can improve on this. I’m sure other peoples food was luke warm too as I seen another order up on the pass sitting there waiting for ages . The chefs are obviously not good at timing and putting all food out at one time as half the order is sitting under lights going luke warm while they are preparing the rest of the order . Sorry to say but was disappointing .

18/02/2026: We went for a dinner with my boyfriend. The service was excellent. Even though we were a bit late they provided us with the table! The booking is essential. The food was amazing. This is my second experience in the 1808 Brasserie & Cellar Restaurant and it was just the same, bravo! We ordered roast breasts of chicken and slow cooked feather blade beef. And the dessert left me speechless... it was just a dream: classic Creme Brulee with Raspberry sorbet ❤️ Thank you very much! It turned out to be the great day... with the proposal in the end! (on the Viaduct 🥰)

04/11/2025: A quaint little coffee shop that brings a bit of Brazilian culture to Carlow. The hours are insanely handy for students travelling to school and the owners are amazing! I recommend you try the coxinhas!

20/09/2025: The best cafe food in Carlow! Best breakfast bap known to man 👌🏼coffee is fabulous. Great selection of both gluten free meals as well as cakes. The Christmas sambo is just stunning. Very reasonably priced too.

03/01/2026: This is wonderful hotel to stay in. Very clean, lovely bar/ restaurant area, gym & swimming pool but the stand out things are: a) the things for the kids to do, there is a huge list in the Dome next door, it keeps the kids & adults occupied for hours. the kids said they loved the kids club, was really great fun & the guys running it were superb, they couldn't say enough good things about them. And b) the staff. Everyone is so friendly & accommodating here, all day, in every part of the hotel, as well as over in the Dome. Carlow must be a very happy friendly place because the staff here are 2nd to none. We will be back.
