The best restaurants in Carlow

02/10/2026: You can only order through computer now, no person to person ordering. When asked about that we were told it was due to covid. Yes, it has been years since we were there and oh my god never again. Such discrimination. Getting on to the state of the place, if I had seen the toilets before ordering food, I certainly wouldn't have ordered. The toilets are filthy. The restaurant itself wasn't much better, food, straws etc all over the floor, absolutely disgraceful. I went to the counter to tell them the toilets badly needed attention, I was completely ignored. Never again. Absolutely disgusting.

17/09/2026: Staff were so freindly and food was amazing and worth the price ☺️

28/09/2026: I ordered a Latte but my goodness it was extremely strong and had a very unpleasant taste

24/07/2026: Lovely place. My go to spot to sit down with a mocha and a book. Staff are always really friendly. Would love to see the place get renovated though. Decor is very outdated and some of the upholstery is very worn. Car park can also be tricky. You’d have to be lucky to find a free space as it’s very small.

24/09/2026: Always good when you're on the run.

13/09/2026: Keep on driving. Went in today asked for a chicken wrap and three burgers of different types and twenty Nuggets. Instead got forty nuggets? Literally bag of dips and the worlds saddest wrap with two very dry chickin nuggets inside wrap and noting else. And when we went back they fixed order and gave us to ice creams and an apology only we need the straws from the drinks to drink the ice-cream safe to say won't be back there

13/09/2026: Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my experience today. We ordered two drinks and two açai bowls, but the customer service was very poor. The girls serving us came across as quite rude, and our drinks and bowls were more or less thrown down in front of us rather than being handed over properly. When we asked which drink was which, as we had ordered two different ones, they answered very sharply while having their backs to us. I understand that staff can be busy, but there is still a way to speak to customers politely and make them feel welcome. The food and drinks were fine, but the service really let the experience down for us. Unfortunately, based on today’s experience, I won’t be returning.

26/06/2026: A live cup of coffee a nice selection of snacks to accompany it. Staff were very friendly.

04/10/2026: Can't fault this place at all.. Very nice madras and jalfrezi. Pilau rice and naan bread.. Handy have a pint in the pub next door while waiting for my collection!!

19/09/2026: Really nice place for tasty Pakistani/Indian food. One of the best in South east.

09/10/2026: Great restaurant, conducive atmosphere and I'd recommend for friendly meetups, dates, etc.

08/10/2026: Halal food and staff are very friendly

19/07/2026: I had doner in bread. It's very good. Highly recommend.

06/06/2026: An affordable and friendly Italian family run chippy with tasty pizza, chips, and burgers. Irish sourced ingredients fresh to order. Will come back to try chicken and cod options!

23/07/2026: Service they wouldn't take our order at the counter told us only on app even though they took orders on the phone couldn't order the gluten free pizza on app and eventually after a few minutes in store even though we were the only customers there they said oh we can take for it here. Shocking service would not recommend it to anyone Would not return here

10/06/2026: The management of this so called establishment are absolutely disgusting the way they treat people, I’ve seen it multiple times now, the last being a woman they got onto for absolutely no reason whatsoever as she was doing no harm at all and then throwing her out in the end. The staff here most of them are friendly but any of the staff working here should really consider taking up employment elsewhere as this place is rotten to the core. All their “lovely posts” on FB you’d think for a moment it was a lovely place to visit but it’s the furthest thing from it. Will never ever be back in this dump.

05/06/2026: We had a afternoon lunch. Food amazing 👏 Value very good. Well done all ..

13/08/2026: The 4-in-1's are good. Really good for late-night drinking.

21/07/2026: Ordered from here during a staycation my lads love their spice bags and really enjoyed from here couldn't fault the food in the slightest 👌

05/10/2026: The aroma and taste of the pizza, combined with the pleasant ambiance of this charming restaurant, are hard to match in Carlow and the surrounding area. 5-star quality

26/09/2026: Te best in Carlo Highly recommended

16/10/2026: Food is not bad but this time the spice box was a bit salty. It's a bit expensive for the quantity you get.... otherwise good.

03/10/2026: Food is nice but the portion sizes are quite small.

05/10/2026: Best kebab I've had in Carlow, most places wouldn't give half the portion size in comparison to the kebab I got from here.

19/09/2026: This is the best donner kebab trey I’ve ever had!! The taste is genuinely unmatched to any other takeaway, I’d swear the sweet and sour/garlic sauce was made on cloud 9. I’m blown away by the quality. Your boi Khalazi was so friendly like a father. I’m so contempt with this service and it’s superb altogether!!!
