23/07/2025: Stayed here for 5 nights. Staff in pub amazing helpful and always polite. Rooms clean and fresh everyday facilities are great as well clean kitchen and well stocked for cooking for yourself. Met the owner very nice and apart from the Liverpool fc talk was good laugh. Definitely love to come back and stay again. Keep up the great work Sarah Jordan and the rest of the gang there .

02/08/2025: Had a take away and although it took a little longer than estimated. It was definitely worth the wait. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted deliciously authentic! Definitely recommend Will eat in next time...

12/03/2025: Got a takeaway this evening via JustEat. The food was so nice. We ordered chicken bhuna and the chicken was so tender. This have become my favourite take out in Carlow Town.

14/06/2025: I’m not one to complain i never complain, but it takes a good while to deliver comparing to other places, food is cold, today i ordered a chicken rice box, chicken was pink, i called back and ordered again, they were “very sorry” so the second one arrived and it was the same craic, pink chicken, don’t order from here

19/07/2025: This review is for the restaurant/pub only – we did not stay at the hotel. We stopped in for a quick lunch at the 1808 Brasserie bar yesterday while passing through on the way to Rosslare, and unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food and service. My partner ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which arrived ice cold and even raw in parts. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, there was little concern shown, and surprisingly, the floor manager didn’t come over at any point to apologise or check in. The waitress did offer to replace the dish, which we appreciated, but we declined. Instead, as a “token of apology,” we were brought a cold ham and cucumber sandwich along with some overcooked chips – which honestly just added to the awkwardness of the situation. The beef sandwich was also below par. We left feeling quite let down by the whole experience and would hesitate to return based on this visit.

11/06/2025: Good option for a decent thai lunch menu. Food delivered quickly once your order was taken. We were there on June 9th and it seemed like the whole dining room was being left to 1 female member of staff, while the male employee just floated about. She was efficient in serving the multiple tables.

04/04/2025: 11 of us had dinner in lemongrass last Sunday "mothers day" the food was beautiful.. however there was an add on charge of 30 euro for booking a table for 6 or more people.. we weren't informed of this when making the booking , it was pointed out on the front cover of the menu when I questioned it.. it is not visible when viewing the menu online.. I thought it was a very sneaky add on. It would have been 3 separate tables when booking had this been pointed out... I don't see how this applies when the same amount of people are being served whether it be 1 or 3 tables.. we would have been leaving the same amount in a tip but not any more when dining there.. it nice to leave it of your own free will rather than being compelled to do so.. Just to be aware of this for a large family when booking your table...

03/08/2025: Food was great, service was excellent. Rooms are a little dated and the pool area needs a revamp but very nice people and a lovely breakfast.

28/07/2025: If every hotel in ireland was ran as good as the seven oaks in carlow I personally think irish would be more prone to staying here at holiday times instead of lining the pockets of other countries. Iv being going there now for over 30 years. I'm now 48 .and have,stayed in a lot of hotels none of them even come close to the welcome/ organisation/ and helpfullness of the staff and management there even,the house keeping staff are outstanding. So I would really recommend a stay and you'll see what I mean. PATRICK AND TRACEY CALLAGHAN

18/07/2025: CIAO is a great grab and go spot. I had the açaí bowl and oh my god, it was the best one I’ve ever had. You get to pick your own toppings, and it was so fresh and delicious. I can’t stop thinking about it. I also got a matcha latte, which was nice, but I wish it had a stronger matcha flavour. That’s my only small note. The vibes were great, it was pretty busy so expect a wait but I’d definitely go back. Next time I’m trying their protein balls, they looked amazing!
