19/07/2026: Delicious pizza, I felt like I was in Italy. I had the capricciosa. Excellent, light dough, well-filled. Truly delicious. I will definitely return to this pizzeria. The owner also speaks Italian. Top!!!

13/07/2026: Family of 17 were heading to Carlow for the weekend I seen the terrace online so emailed about booking, someone rang me nearly immediately and was so helpful and booked us in. We arrived and they had little cards on the table with happy birthday and my dads name ( really nice touch) the staff were friendly and so helpful and the food was amazing the portions were huge and price was the cheapest I’ve ever seen, great cocktails and every drink you could want, overall 10/10 would highly recommend and will definitely return thank you!!

11/07/2026: Here’s a polished 5-star review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant place! The pizza was absolutely awesome, and the garlic fries were AMAZING! We shared everything between us, and there was more than enough. Great atmosphere, loads of seating, and plenty of sport on the TVs, which made for a really relaxed vibe. Friendly service too. We’ll definitely be back!

08/07/2026: A great place to enjoy a proper meal after a long day. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff are friendly, and the service was quick. The portions are generous, the food is fresh, tasty, and cooked with care. I especially liked the traditional style of the dishes – comforting and full of flavor. The prices are fair for the quality you get. If you're in Carlow and looking for a good lunch or dinner, this is definitely worth a visit. I would happily come back again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

02/06/2026: It was not very clean had to ask staff to clean off the table the toilets was not good . Food was ok

03/05/2026: Arrived a little before our booking, and was accommodated. We ordered and things started arriving quickly which was a nice change from our first visit where one of us had to wait nearly an hour for our first dish. We ordered 2 dishes each, and 3 came and an hour later we asked for the other and they were able to bring it out. Could have gotten lost, all good. We noticed the tables to our back and right which had both arrived after us had all their dishes and desserts by the time we even had our final dish. We then were waiting probably over an hour for our table to get cleared and offered dessert. One of the staff finally came and asked if we were done ordering food as the kitchen is closed. We said we'd like the dessert menu as we were finished eating ages. The staff asked if it was okay to clear the table and told us we still had time for dessert but the kitchen was closing for food. We waited around another 40 minutes for our table to be cleared and the dessert menu to be brought but it never came and our table never got cleared, and it was impossible to get hold of staff at this point as it seemed they were finished up and getting ready to close. We decided we didn't want dessert anymore after the 40 minutes and just got up, and paid and left. I've never not left a tip l, but this time I made sure not to.

24/04/2026: Absolutely fantastic staff at Golden Aroma Chinese! The food was delicious as always, but what really stands out is the young lady taking the orders. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional. It’s rare to come across such genuinely warm customer service, and she handled everything with a smile even during a busy time. She’s a real credit to the place.

12/02/2026: No meals ?? I am shocked . Over €15 for one person . Nearly a fiver for a drink? This is crazy?? No meals won’t be dining here again very sad as food is good!

24/07/2026: Lovely place. My go to spot to sit down with a mocha and a book. Staff are always really friendly. Would love to see the place get renovated though. Decor is very outdated and some of the upholstery is very worn. Car park can also be tricky. You’d have to be lucky to find a free space as it’s very small.

31/05/2026: Very slow for a badly made cappuccino and got my order wrong. Rushing behind the counter rather than getting things correct. Will not be going back.

24/04/2026: Loving the stay over here. It feels like staying at your own home. I Specially love the facility of kitchen they provide for us to cook ourselves which makes it feel like a home.

06/04/2026: Me and my friends went down to the outdoor area of the pub. Heating didn’t work outside, there was giant gaping holes in the roof and it altogether looked like it was about to collapse. We decide to leave because one of my friends felt sick, suddenly we get stopped by a staff member who gets up all in my friends’ face and I quote. "It’s one thing to make me clean your vomit but another to steal my vape.” my friend is asthmatic, she wouldn’t have even touched it. (And my friend had informed one of the staff kindly about the bathroom, didn’t just leave it) and she continues "don’t lie to me, you were the last ones in there.” extremely unprofessional and accusatory without even talking it out.

30/05/2026: Despite some very nice ladies serving, the arrogant and rude owner with a bad attitude is enough for us to not go back. Probably explains why the place was empty on a Saturday night. Much better choices downtown with more welcoming and pleasant owners.

10/05/2026: Lovely food and service here. The set meal for 2 on takeaway is great value and offers lots of options. A chicken Karahi has been my favourite, the pakoras as a starter are really nice too.

10/04/2026: Overpriced (was 20 euro for a burger). always has loud kids or screaming babies in the restaurant (somehow even on weekdays during lunchtime) The staff are pleasent though, and the music selection *thing* at every table is a nice touch Would recommend if you dont mind pricey food and loud noises, but its not for me

02/05/2026: WORST manager ever, kicked me and my friend out when they THOUGHT one of our friends get sick. She was fine the entire night and only was drinking water, btw and I asked to she the footage of the cameras she kept saying she saw her get sick on the cameras and she said we cant and i asked to see where she threw up and she said we cant. worst place ever, super disrespectful, 100% racist for what.. dont come here theyll kick you out for no reason. Do not recommend. Just straight up rude.
