The best restaurants in Carlow

02/05/2026: Had an incredible meal here. The flavors were authentic and everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Biryani and the garlic naan—best I've had in a long time. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Definitely worth a visit!

04/04/2026: Food was disgusting, really disappointed as I have been here before and it was nice, but will never be going again. The bag was sopping with oil, and the battered sausages were wet to touch with oil and tasted rancid, completely inedible. Even the chips tasted bad, would like a refund this food had to go in the bin!

08/05/2026: My normal order is spice bag and noodles, food is lovely but I have to order 2 curry sauces which cost 3.50 each to get enough sauce for my whole meal. Small tubs are no good! Maybe up the price a small bit and do bigger portions of sauce. *Update - portion sizes are ridiculous now, even the chicken curry is not even filled, have found other places nearby for better quality and quantity for the price. Pity.

05/05/2026: Got food out of here last night 2 spice bags and 4 in 1 and the chicken was pink, and now we all have diarhea pains in our stomach will not be eating here again 🤢

08/09/2025: Ordered 2 portion of Vermicilli noodles and a portion of egg fried rice, only got one delivered along with the egg fried rice witch was black and burned and then the second one came burned as well and every veg on it and piece of chicken was black and the smell of smoke and burned food was to much ! Never again, bin the food you get of them , prices are over the top and for what ? Nothing trust me.

27/03/2026: It was nice to see this restaurant reopened and the food did not disappoint. There was a good choice of main meals and what I really liked was that my fish was cooked fresh. The service was very prompt and the staff were all lovely. Even a veg bowl for our baby wasn't a problem. The meals were lovely and the kids meals were good value as well.

04/01/2026: Got a panini there was too much sauce in it. Later on in the day i dont feel great either does my partner and we both got chicken tenders. Would not recommend and is an over prices deli

12/02/2026: I ordered online, wasn't given an option to set a time to collect my order but for some reason it swtu collection time to 2 and a half hours after I placed the order. I arrived in the lashing rain, not a single staff member in sight for about 5 minutes, finally someone appears and asks if I want to order, I say I'm waiting on an order. He darts back to god knows where. Other customers call out for staff but no one appears. I cannot see any food being prepared. 15 minutes after arriving it's just me there, no staff, no other customers. For 5 minutes I call out to the empty staff area. Finally the staff member returns, I am in a very upset state, saturated, starving and starting to tear up as I ask if my order is ready yet. Immediately the staff member pulls out the order receipt and tells me about the time set,, before telling me it's my fault. I am shocked because I didn't set that time. Suddenly he raises his voice and keeps giving out to me repeating that it's my fault and that I should have told him about the error I didn't know about. He barely lets me get a word in as I try to ask to cancel the order because I don't have the time to wait another however long it will take for him to make my food. I eventually left. I am never ordering there, I am disgusted with the lack basic decency or social skills, I am autistic and even I know not to give out to a crying person. If you want to get pizza in Carlow, Dominos is better.

19/03/2026: Food tasted like an old boot no flavor absolutely sickened ribs were dry not one bit of flavor of them house special rice had no flavor either and spice bag wasn’t spicy and had no flavor also the prawn crackers were soft

20/03/2026: I've been to all the Chinese takeaways in Carlow and The Tiger is number one. New owner, better flavors. I recommend it.
