26/07/2026: It’s the worst food ever got for Abrakebabra I travel from Dublin my and my wife was the Skorstad the food you wouldn’t give it to your dog it was that bad

13/06/2026: End of an era! My partner and I have visited Abrakebabra Carlow every single Friday for 5 years specifically for their legendary, old-school Taco Fries. While other branches changed, Carlow always kept the amazing "OG" recipe. Sadly, we went last week and it has completely changed to the newer recipe. It was incredibly greasy, oily, and just really unpleasant. So disappointed to see the famous Carlow Taco Chip ruined. You’ve unfortunately lost two loyal customers.

12/09/2026: I’ve ordered a good bit from here, I normally don’t leave reviews but this needs one. I ordered the food at 19.53, the delivery came just came at 21.23. I live five minutes down the road. On top of it all the food is cold. It will be the last time I order from here. Absolutely ridiculous after spending over 30 euro on it.

23/07/2026: Service they wouldn't take our order at the counter told us only on app even though they took orders on the phone couldn't order the gluten free pizza on app and eventually after a few minutes in store even though we were the only customers there they said oh we can take for it here. Shocking service would not recommend it to anyone Would not return here

24/04/2026: Loving the stay over here. It feels like staying at your own home. I Specially love the facility of kitchen they provide for us to cook ourselves which makes it feel like a home.

06/04/2026: Me and my friends went down to the outdoor area of the pub. Heating didn’t work outside, there was giant gaping holes in the roof and it altogether looked like it was about to collapse. We decide to leave because one of my friends felt sick, suddenly we get stopped by a staff member who gets up all in my friends’ face and I quote. "It’s one thing to make me clean your vomit but another to steal my vape.” my friend is asthmatic, she wouldn’t have even touched it. (And my friend had informed one of the staff kindly about the bathroom, didn’t just leave it) and she continues "don’t lie to me, you were the last ones in there.” extremely unprofessional and accusatory without even talking it out.

13/03/2026: Shaws and his team are the best I am from carlow been there many times but now moved to another county still craving for their Kebab its unbeatable with pricing quality and quantinty overall they make kebab with love. That can feel in taste. Thanks metrogrill you are amazing.

16/08/2026: Food is okay, probably one of the better options considering what's available in the area. However be mindful that if you're sitting in the restaurant you will have to pay around 10 euros more than what's on the menu online, they also don't provide an itemized receipt of the food and what it cost, nor does the sit in menu include prices. It's on the main street so you might have to find parking in other establishments or pay and park at one of the street parking bays.

28/04/2026: Absolutely love this place! Me and my partner go here so often and the staff are amazing! There’s one girl with black hair and she’s the most amazing and nicest waitress ever! The food never disappoints either! I get the burger with wedges and their burgers are the most gorgeous thing ever! Same with their chicken wings. My partner gets the steak and has gotten the curry too and said they’re both divine! Partner also brought me here for my birthday and they put little pink balloons on our table and sang happy birthday to me too! Never will have a bad word to say abt the place absolutely amazing food and staff :)

18/08/2026: The food was ok, no one was overly impressed by it & that's including two 12yr old boys!! The girl that took our order & served us was lovely & couldn't have been nicer. She had a smile on her face when we walked in & when we left. It's quiet expensive too, a little too expensive for that kind of food.

08/05/2026: My normal order is spice bag and noodles, food is lovely but I have to order 2 curry sauces which cost 3.50 each to get enough sauce for my whole meal. Small tubs are no good! Maybe up the price a small bit and do bigger portions of sauce. *Update - portion sizes are ridiculous now, even the chicken curry is not even filled, have found other places nearby for better quality and quantity for the price. Pity.

05/05/2026: Got food out of here last night 2 spice bags and 4 in 1 and the chicken was pink, and now we all have diarhea pains in our stomach will not be eating here again 🤢

27/03/2026: It was nice to see this restaurant reopened and the food did not disappoint. There was a good choice of main meals and what I really liked was that my fish was cooked fresh. The service was very prompt and the staff were all lovely. Even a veg bowl for our baby wasn't a problem. The meals were lovely and the kids meals were good value as well.

12/07/2026: We don't have a good experience. This is a piece of pear crumble tart and we found out when we ate half of it that there is a mould on it. We handed it back to the service and they just said "oh my god" and that was it. No refund no apologies, nothing. Be careful with the food there we are not going to buy anything from there anymore.

01/07/2026: Our favourite coffee shop, the staff are amazing, Giant and the staff always welcome us with a smile and a chat, we love popping for a quick takeaway coffee or a sit down with the family for a slow down snack. It's such a lovely atmosphere, love meeting the regulars and saying hello xx
