19/11/2024: Just an edit to say. They ALWAYS Read the notes. Which is great when you have picky eaters 🤣 Food always nice. Cannot fault the chicken curry. A favourite of ours. And delivery is fast. My first choice for a Chinese takeaway 😊

11/03/2025: Appalling treatment of customers, my Mum was served a pastry she did not order, and subsequently told by a server called Finnola she could not get the correct pastry due to ‘health and safety reasons’. She then proceeded to debate what my Mum ordered. Rude, unprofessional and disrespectful service from this particular server, who also visibly treated other severs with disrespect. Food was unremarkable. Avoid this place.

18/01/2025: I have to say the way I was treated here was shocking. I would urge people not to spend a dime here . I was in a rush and I seen pancake advertised for 3.50 as I approached the till I was offered by a staff memeber a number of different toppings . I picked banana and maple syrup. I got to the till only a few seconds later . I was given a different price of 7.50 . I explained it is advertised as 3.50 and I was offered toppings and asked why it was 7.50 as it was a single pancake too . She said it was an additional 4 euro to add banana to the pancake… I said I won’t have the banana as It didn’t advertise this . The staff memeber was so rude and told me it was already made try to pressure me into buying it . I said I’m sorry but that’s not what it says on the board nor was I told this before ordering . She then said she would have to throw the banana in the bin and can we meet in the middle . I agreeed as I thought it was resolved and I paid 4.50 . I joke you not they gave me the pancake with no banana . They put it in the fridge and try to charge me for something I disnd get. I was not going to be treated this way and asked to speak with the lady again . She rudely gave me back the additional money she tried to rob from me over a silly banana . I am also 6 months pregnant and I have never experienced such horrible treatment from a cafe or restaurant, it was unbelievable . I have never ever heard the likes of it . Avoid this place at all costs .

22/03/2025: €8.95 for a ham and cheese toasty… it was made with sliced pan and the yellow plastic cheese. Baklava €4.50 and it was rock hard. Is offensive to sell such low quality product so expensive. I wouldn’t recommend

12/03/2025: We just got off an 8hr airplane and were needing a place to rest our feet. We found this cute area to sit and overlook the river. We were aggressively met by a man who asked what we wanted. I said I don’t know and asked if he had a menu. He was super rude and acted like that was a terrible question. I said we were tourists and were just having a sit. He got VERY angry and scary aggressive. He stomped back inside the fly coffee building and threw his serving board across the room. He was very threatening in his demeanor. It was a CRAZY first impression of the town. We got up because we felt super uncomfortable. I popped my head in and asked what we did wrong, and him and this lady in a turbin gave major passive aggressive attitude. I dont understand what that whole encounter was about but I’d avoid if I were you. Very unprofessional and this guy clearly has major issues.

03/02/2025: It has everything but it is very expensive, but I also understand that the income should not be low, but salaries etc. This is the only way these shops can survive.

26/01/2025: I went to the centa shops this morning before I got the train to Dublin. The staff were friendly and helpful and welcoming. I got a very nice wrap and it was good.

23/02/2025: I went here today and arrived at 6:40 and the girl behind the counter told me they had just closed even though it says online they open until 7. Must’ve just wanted an early finish smh.

06/01/2025: I was here on Friday the 3rd with a group of my friends to try out the new subway, I was really suprised by the amazing service by Zane and Katie, they were quick and kind offering me and my friends advice on what we could get to expand our options and everything looked fresh and clean compared to subways we’ve tried before, I would gladly say I would come back to eat here. I really would advice people to come eat here anyway thanks girls!!

28/12/2024: I went up to order and asked the lady behind the counter for advise about my order. I was promptly told that the menu was over there if I needed information. You could not see the menu from where you order so I would have had to leave my place in the q. She then pointed to the man behind me to prompt me to order quickly. I ordered three pepperoni pizzas and it was 42 euro in total! I had them before and they were nice but not this time. Mine was burnt which is crazy for the price. I will never return and waste my money again.

03/02/2025: Not a nice establishment. Very disrespectful to anyone outside their preferred group. Obviously in serious arrangements with local , untrustworthy influencer. There's other, more respected venues near by. I'll gladly discuss my experience with any member of management if they make contact. Again, avoid big time

17/11/2024: I recently visited The Corner Flag and was thoroughly disappointed by the customer service. A staff member named Steven handled our group with a shocking lack of courtesy. He was not only dismissive but came across as both ignorant and arrogant. Simple requests were met with irritation, and it seemed he had no interest in making our experience enjoyable. We chose The Corner Flag for a relaxed evening, but the unprofessional and rude behavior turned our night into a frustrating experience. It's disappointing that such a popular spot would employ staff members who lack basic manners and respect for customers. We hope management addresses this, as a friendly, welcoming atmosphere is vital for a good night out.

19/01/2025: First time going here. Just wanted chips and cheese and 2 cans of coke. When I got my order I left and opened it outside. It was Garlic cheese and chips. Went back in 2 minutes and they said they'd make me a new one. Instead of binning the order I brought back in they stuck it in the microwave and gave it to another customer. Portion size of chips was small. First and last time going here.

20/12/2024: Avoid Avoid Avoid! They pretend not to speak english but can well. I caught him trying to charge 25% more than advertised and when I pulled him on it he grinned and all of a sudden he couldn't speak english so I showed him the menú to make it clear my order was 15 euro not 20 euro so they gave me half uncooked chips and the wrong sauce in a kebab so I couldn't eat it once I got home because of the amount of chili they put in it and the smallest portions I've ever seen. It's a scam take away that prey on every customer especially when using card payments! And they make most there money from unaware drunk people especially. Most if not all positive reviews are fake and the food doesnt look anything like the menu pictures. The place should be closed down, they are thiefs and just want your money. Beware and avoid at all cost!

17/11/2024: Hi everyone, Just stay as far away from this restaurant as much as possible. This is an honest review. I am writing this review for the welfare of people of Cork. This restaurant is the worst among the restaurants I visited in my life. And it’s the same after 3 years I visited again. Nothing changed. I went out with my friends for dinner, ordered few different curries with beaf and chicken, along with chapati and naan. It was difficult to order because the guy tried to force us to order things according to his choice not ours. Now the order arrived and story started. The food is literally 0.1/5 in taste. I asked the guy to change the chapatis as they were literally burnt. Not eatable. The guy gave his first argument that (we sell chapatis like this, you have to eat them burnt as it is) Then his arrogance kicked in and he stoped serving us, we left the restaurant with worst experience and spoiled night. As I am an asian guy and I know what they are selling to people of Cork on the name of Indian food, Absolutely nothing. Pretty much same curry thing with hundreds of names. You won’t feel a difference in any thing. Long story short. Please stay away. And now I realised that there are loads of reviews of same kind as I am giving. I regret I would have read those reviews before I had given them chance to spoil our night out.
