The best restaurants in Cork city council

07/09/2025: Got literally my sub thrown at me. He seemed extremely annoyed and rude. If you don't like to serve customer, find a different line of work. Everything flew out when I opened the package. Another thing is, if you said you are open till 8, don't force us to do a takeaway so you dont have to clean the tables. Peak of lazyness. The sub was also toasted too short, the bread was dry and stale. 2 stars for the food because it was edible.

27/08/2025: My grampa died and i went to subway and it was literally the worst subway experience ive ever had. the person who served me was rude, blunt, and annoyed. he couldnt cut the sandwiches in any normal human way. he put GLOBS of mayo all over the sandwich and wrapped them up in such a bad way it was almost funny because how bad it was if it hadn’t been the second worst day of my life. overall this really sucked and my day was even more ruined. truly disappointed.

24/07/2025: Just ate here for lunch. Had a chicken breast sandwich with bacon and cheese meal. By god was it horrible. Re-heated chips and pre cooked chicken breast re-heated. Bacon tasted awful also. Burger was also cold. Far from "Fresh" as advertised! Had the same in the supermacs at junction 17 recently and it was very enjoyable, hot and fresh. Hence why I said I'd try it again. Little island outfit is awful bad. Not recommended at all. I should have known as it wasn't busy and all the other food outlets were.

06/06/2025: Very poor service in this SuperMacs. Ordered food. Only three other couples in store. Waited 20 mins and no food. Went to counter to ask about food, told it would be brought to the table, another 10 minutes before food arrived, when it arrived it was wrong. I should have just got a refund. There'll be no next time. Don't expect much from this place.

08/07/2025: Would be zero stars if I could. Owners or staff illegally park and dangerously drive on the plaza every day. Nearly knocked down my kid the other day and could not care less. Update: Still doing deliveries by driving over the grass.

16/03/2025: The kiosk by 5 points down the marina is awful. The young girl who works there at the weekend is rude and not interested. Place is dirty and coffee isnt great.

08/09/2025: I ordered online. Delicious Pizza. And chips. Fast service. Good Halal option.

19/08/2025: What a fine dining experience! Truly Michelin-star level if the star was made of rotten meat. We only went in ‘cause nothing else was open, and wow… what a mistake. My mate ended up sprinting to the toilet with explosive diarrhea, while I was busy trying not to puke my lungs out. Honestly, I didn’t know food could double as a biological weapon. One star, but only because Google doesn’t let me give negative numbers.

20/08/2025: That was my last trip to this maxol. I get charged a different price every single time for a salad roll but it's usually between 3.70-4.50 mark which is fine. 5.05 this time, no meat! One sticker says 4.30 and an extra sticker 0.75 for an (extra filling)? That's me done here.

24/05/2025: Thr poor rating before we visited was unjustified and the menu differed from that shown on Google. The choice of meals was very good. The staff were exceptional and the food was excellent. Would definitely return.

08/05/2025: We chose this restaurant for ease... we really regret it! Ultimately it would have been quicker to go to Cork to eat and come back! Everything was incredibly slow and yet there were no crowds... 15 minutes just to come and take an order and another good 30 minutes before we got our plates.

12/05/2025: Ok shop - buy tea, coffee food etc but they have no toilet. I will go to a service station in future where they lnow what service is.

20/02/2025: Petrol station with plenty space, very good service and is very handy this petrol station be around here very closed of hospital where make a huge difference for the customers going into hospital others going work and they can have a breakfast here and a cop a coffee or tea, the community around the area sometimes take for grant.

26/06/2025: I can not believe when i went recently to this place as I haven’t been there for a while that a kebab meal is now. €15!..the last time i was there and it wasn’t ages ago it was around €9. Just to add,this is my last time ever visiting Abrakebabra It really is a rip off!!

22/06/2025: Very disappointed in the Abrakebabra chicken kebab. Was really looking forward to it but chicken was over cooked & the kebab was over filled so difficult to eat. Won’t be buying again. Mahon Point.

03/09/2025: Stellar service from staff. On my own, feeding my baby and they went above and beyond. Owner really looked after me. You can see how by setting an example at the top - it trickles down. Everyone is fantastic. I’ll happily pay for that kind of service.

20/07/2025: Very poor quality food. I’ve never had food this bad in Cork. Do not try it. Seriously disappointing. The only good item was the vegetable spring roll .

20/07/2025: Great food and service from the Team at Kin Kao. I placed a double order (my error) which was noted by their team and a full refund was made. Food great also......would highly recommend

16/07/2025: Eat before you arrive at the airport, food is terrible and service IS even worse. Frozen pizzas. Bar staff dressed as if they have come from the gym . The blond girl behind the bar just stares and looks at everyone without greeting you . Horrible

19/06/2025: Since the recent re-fit, the customer experience here is absolutely shocking. Kick start your travels in a miserable 15 person deep queue to get food or drink Recent extension offers more seating but an under staffed at the bar means the queuing here is worse than ever. Sad times!

19/07/2025: Asked for a margarita pizza and a pepperoni pizza. I am strictly vegetarian and both pizzas had pepperoni on them. Couldn’t even eat any of of it. I paid for my friends for all the food to not eat anything. Terrible service.

05/07/2025: Had them once, food wasn't what I even ordered. I live nearby and they keep setting the fire alarms off, which states how often they burn the place up.

16/05/2025: Another joke of an Irish company. Left waiting months for a product, no update unless I contacted them directly. Always told it was on "back order". Every email you send them, they constantly ask if you want to "cancel your order". They don't give a damn. Typical Irish company.

06/04/2025: If I could rate it no stars I would. Communication is abysmal and that is being kind. I ordered a product on 7th of February. By 20th of February there was still no sign of the item being delivered and I had heard nothing from them other than the fact that they had taken my money. So I got in contact with them. At that point someone let me know that the item that had been in stock on their website was actually on back order and was not expected to be in their warehouse until the 28th of February. On 14th of March I had heard nothing more about the item being delivered so I emailed again. They emailed me back to say that it had only been dispatched then from their UK warehouse. Today I received my item, over 8 weeks after I ordered and paid for it. There was no contact with updates unless I reached out. Surely there is a way to let customers know that their delivery might take a bit longer. Very disappointing service and I will NOT be ordering from them again.

07/07/2025: The most ridiculously over priced coffee I’ve ever seen. Regular oat caramel latte was 7.20€. I am on the floor I cannot believe it is so expensive for bang average coffee. I asked the man at till if this was correct and he said oh we have to pay for the oat. I could quite literally buy about 5 cartons of oat milk for this price, which I will. RIDICULOUS

03/06/2025: Not sure how this place is open. Was speechless when charged €14.50 for an iced coffee and a single baklava bite. (and no milk in the latte!)

20/08/2025: Got the quater pounder with cheese 5.95. Delicious. Friendly staff. Perfect char

05/08/2025: We came here for some food before our train journey back to Dublin. The staff was very nice and we had a little chat while we waited for the food to cook. Once we got the food we were not dissapointed. The 12” pizza we ordered was exceptional. It also came with some garlic sause which enhanced the flavour even more. Definitely recommend this place 😄
