The best restaurants in Cork city council

17/10/2024: Very bad service. I ordered a coffee drink in Caffe, and I've got it in paper cup. When I asked why I've got my coffee in paper cup, lady said they don't have a large mug. But people sitting around had mugs.... Another thing coffee was extremely hot, I burnt my tongue. Definitely avoid this place, is there many better coffee shops around with better service.

06/10/2024: Terrible espresso. We were drawn in by the nice espresso machine, but when we tasted it, we couldn't even finish it. I'm sorry to say it but It feels like the staff hasn't been trained properly. A below-average espresso should not cost €3.90, come on!

26/10/2024: I ordered online and didn’t receive.

01/10/2024: Had this as takeaway in the pub down the road and both pizzas were exceptional. Fantastic garlic dip too!

23/10/2024: Useless, ruse and inefficient is the way this place should be called. Arrived with family and friends at around 3:30 pm on Sunday 20th. A non-irish “guy” looked at us expecting us to say what “we were doing in a restaurant”, we greet and ask a table to “if possible” eat or order coffees. He made the “pleasure” to give us a table in an empty restaurant (maybe 3-4 tables used). 5 minutes later an Irish tall girl with glasses came and said: “just coffees right”😂 geez! Anyway, order some coffees, pizza and went to the bar to order a drink were a short fella full of tattoos with the same stupid attitude. Anyway is the last time we go there for sure, now I understand why always this place is advertising promos on the food😂. Your service is disgusting! 🤮

09/11/2024: Was told delivery would be between 30-45 mins and it took almost 2 hours to arrive. The food is decent but would not recommend delivery

30/09/2024: Got 2 fish and chip(cod) 2 curry, 2 sausages and 2 cheese and onion pies, it cost me €40.40 and honestly the fish was horrible certainly not fresh,with what I payed we could have sat in a hotel, very disappointed, the sausage was for the dog, chips and pie’s were nice, but won’t be getting the fish again

19/11/2024: Just an edit to say. They ALWAYS Read the notes. Which is great when you have picky eaters 🤣 Food always nice. Cannot fault the chicken curry. A favourite of ours. And delivery is fast. My first choice for a Chinese takeaway 😊

18/10/2024: AVOID AVOID AVOID unless you want to loose your money or want cold food! had terrible experience with curry house 2 weeks ago. Ordered in their website with a delivery time for 7pm. I phoned at 7.30 to be told food wasn’t ready and there was customers before me. I immediately asked to cancel my order and for a refund. 10 mns later I get a phone call to say food was ready but I needed to wait an hour for delivery driver to arrive. Why would I want cold food? I asked once again for a refund. At about 9.30 I get a call from delivery driver probably attempting to deliver my food 3 hours after I placed the order. I contacted Curry house via Facebook and other means about my refund. Am still waiting for my refund. Don’t order on their website customer service is non existent. Don’t take orders if you can’t fulfill them!

02/10/2024: Both me and my friend got subway today both subs cut right threw leading to the fillings falling out and been a messy job which isn’t the worst part would of got over it but the ladie making hadn’t a clue what she was doing and the ladie putting in the cold fillings pink and blonde hair her attitude was appalling she had a sour face on her and just clearly doesn’t love her job

07/10/2024: Very tasty food, the workers go out of their way to foreigners, speaking more slowly and repeating if they didn't understand something. And they also made a nice gift in the form of a very tasty burger (we ordered one set, with a burger, they made a second one), with hot sauce. They work until 12 at night, even on Sunday. Thank you very much! They saved us from starvation

29/09/2024: The food was great, but they kept changing my delivery time. It was originally 30 minutes but I ended up waiting almost 2 hours. The delivery driver from the restaurant was very rude and obviously annoyed at me.

08/10/2024: Togher sub way it cost 9.80 for footlong sub with chicken and cheese a bit expensive I think as I got the same one in subway wilton and was charged 6.30 not happy at all won't be going back have proof as tap with phone

28/09/2024: Always friendly. My son enjoys this with Tika chicken, cheese and lettuce. And the rainbow cookies..expensive enough when getting a fairly plain subway.

16/02/2024: Really nice place at good location. Excellent coffee and staff, they even gave me a chocolate snack! Lovely

15/07/2024: We were hungry, we were loaded, we took a detour to grab a bite to eat, we walked, climbed, sweated, we arrived at 10:45 p.m. at this snack bar that was supposed to close at 1 a.m., it was closed. Correct your hours or better, given the other comments, change jobs.

17/10/2024: The chicken kebab is basically nan , No chicken at all , disappointed big time

21/05/2024: Buffalo chips were cold, undercooked and the toppings dreadful! No care at all in making them. Got a tennesse pizza which was cold and undercooked. You need to seriously up your game the order cost €34 incl delivery and i threw it out as it was inedible. I'll be getting a Chinese from now on.

30/06/2024: Over the top prices for really bad food. €21.55 For a bowl of disgusting soup, cremated ham sandwich. and a cup of soup with brown bread. If the food was even tasty it wouldn't be so bad. but it was disgusting. The filling in the sandwich was miserable .the soup had too much coriander .. we left it behind. I will not return.. Disgusting rubbish.

01/05/2024: O'Brien's - just an average sandwich bar. Could not actually believe the prices here. €9.75 for a very average chicken sandwich with a few rocket leaves & 11.75 for a chicken ciabatta. I know the rent must be very high, but really, you could eat nicer food in the centre for the same price. On the plus side, staff were friendly and efficient

26/05/2024: 3 rooms with different music. One of the rooms is a smoking room and a disco in one, which is great. Something good for everyone. Good fun guaranteed, the only disadvantage is that you have to pay for the ticket separately and for storing the jackets separately, which should be included in the ticket price.
