14/11/2025: I came for their sourdough loaf only to be told it is only for sandwiches made there! I used to be able to buy and enjoy this wonderful bread before. Ridiculous!

09/11/2025: I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service I received at the café. I felt genuinely well looked after, and they were attentive at all times. Because of this, I decided not only to stay for breakfast, but also to remain longer and have lunch there as well. Megan, the waitress, was incredibly attentive, and the young man at the till was very kind to us.

07/09/2025: Pizza was awful. Greasy, barely any sauce, and way too much nasty-tasting cheese. What little toppings there were just slid straight off. Think the best part was the crust. Had a couple bites of one slice and the rest went in the bin. Won’t be ordering from here again

16/08/2025: Absolutely disgraceful service. I ordered a pizza over 2 hours ago and still no sign of it. On the delivery app it clearly said it would be delivered in 30 minutes, yet here we are with nothing. They’ve already taken my money, but when I ring, there’s no answer at all. I’ve got two small babies at home so I can’t just leave the house to go down and ask them what’s going on. At this stage I’ve had to put noodles on the pan and I’m heading to bed — I can only presume a delivery driver won’t be knocking on my door in the middle of the night and waking up my whole house. I fully expect a refund. Shocking customer service — I’ll never order from here again. Update: attempted delivery 2.5 hours later, my dog woke my 2 year old and newborn. Bizarre they would think I would want the food hours later.. I refused to accept delivery as it would be going in the bin, probably inedible (potentially causing food poison this late) and I wouldn't trust them to process my refund

13/09/2025: Food is very nice and good sized portions but pricey. Recommending the slightly spiced chicken salad bowl ( which has a spiced yoghurt sauce) and the barnyard chicken toastie ( which has a BbQ mustard sauce). The fresh cream desserts are equally generous in size. It had a very airy open sit down area. They blend their own coffee as well.

03/09/2025: Stellar service from staff. On my own, feeding my baby and they went above and beyond. Owner really looked after me. You can see how by setting an example at the top - it trickles down. Everyone is fantastic. I’ll happily pay for that kind of service.

01/10/2025: I bought battered sausage and batter burger and chips the batter was still raw and undercooked the pork sausage and burger were stale the meat smelled rotten

31/07/2025: The chipper is by no means bad and I come here from time to time but I was here recently and I have say the service left me annoyed and feeling short changed. The price advertised for a burger and chip was €6.95 and when I handed in my €10 the change I was given was €3. I know its only 5 cents but if their prices say €6.95 I expect €3.05 back. I doubt I would have been charged anything more than €6.95 if I had used my debit card. Giving your customers their correct change matters!! The other thing that annoyed me, and while I was ok with the outcome, I found the lack of asking problematic. I personally enjoy salt and vinegar on my chips however, I know a lot of people don't. When the staff member was serving the customer ahead of me he poured the batch of chips into the tray and asked the customer ahead if they wanted salt and vinegar to which they said yes, the staff member proceeded to dress the chips accordingly and served them. Then when it was my turn the staff member just bagged the remaining chips in the tray and gave them to me without asking if I wanted salt and vinegar or not. As I said, it made no difference as I personally like salt and vinegar however, many people don't and I found this to be unprofessional. I would suggest that the owner and staff need to review their business practices.

24/09/2025: Usually don’t leave a review, but got a breast and a bun and it was cold inside, you could tell it was sitting there for a while. I live around the corner so didn’t expect it to be like that when I got home (5 mins) Disappointed because it’s usually good

20/08/2025: That was my last trip to this maxol. I get charged a different price every single time for a salad roll but it's usually between 3.70-4.50 mark which is fine. 5.05 this time, no meat! One sticker says 4.30 and an extra sticker 0.75 for an (extra filling)? That's me done here.

02/10/2025: Wanted to try here the other day but a number of the items I wanted to order had 9=Nuts for allergens recorded, I wanted to see if I could order the meal anyway but remove the element that contained Nuts but staff couldn't tell me which element of the dish had Nuts. Partner still ordered and enjoyed the meal. Please train your staff in something so important like allergens 👍

23/10/2025: I’ve been ordering food from your place every week, and it’s always been delicious. However, my last two orders were both incorrect. The first time, I decided to just let it go, but the second time, it happened again. I called to report the issue, and your team said they could replace the order — which I appreciated — but the replacement also came spicy, even though I didn’t request that. Later, I received another call saying that the order I returned was actually my original order, and I was even asked to pay for it. That was really disappointing because it clearly wasn’t the dish I always order and enjoy. I’m honestly very disappointed by how this was handled. I don’t think I’ll be ordering again.

22/11/2025: If it were possible to give a –5 rating, that’s what they would deserve. Recently went there with my son — the Caesar salad took about 30 minutes to prepare, it looked nice but tasted bad, and the bread was moldy. In the end they just said “sorry” and brought different bread, and we still paid full price... I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — for 22 euros you can eat something much better in any other café.

16/10/2025: Just spend 45€ & I do not recommend this place… how can you serve old chewy bread .. dry potatoes & drippy Cajun & service followed by a poor standard .. just not good at all a lack of respect for clients and Wilton Shopping Centre

24/08/2025: No other way to describe this place other than a complete disaster. People waiting over 10 minutes for coffee. So many people waiting that other people arriving think they are joining the queue but they are only joining a waiting area for coffee. Orders are shouted out but there's so many people waiting, often for the same thing that nobody knows which order is theirs so 4 people hear "Cappuchino" and all make a move at the same time. The staff dont care so it's just a free for all. The pastries are average and do not make up for this fiasco.

24/08/2025: I waited nearly 20 mins for a €4 Cappuccino which was basically a cup of hot milk.I do not like very strong coffee but this had no caffeine in it at all it was horrible.3 staff but only one Barista making the coffee.very few of the customers were buying food so one member of staff had very little to do so why would he not help out with the coffees as the Que waiting was big and customers getting frustrated yet just one (slow) girl making the coffee.Wont be back

10/12/2025: Honestly we are so sick of these lads. They are useless. Can’t take simple instructions. Can’t organise their deliveries. A full hour and a half to deliver food from Sheares Street to Shandon street on a Thursday night!!! How is that even possible, you would deliver a parcel to Killarney in that time. The amount of times that I have fallen asleep waiting for them to arrive, it’s actually laughable. Also, food orders are regularly messed up or stuff gets forgotten. Recently we had 3 sausages in our order, and we got 3 cheese & onion pies instead. How thick and lazy do you have to be to get such simple instructions wrong? What amazes me most of all is how much they charge. A takeaway for 2-3 adults including delivery can be over €55. They charge an arm and a leg for their stuff and yet it’s a disgraceful service. Won’t be ordering from them anymore, simply not worth the hassle or the expense of it.

06/12/2025: Ordered food tonight at 9:20 it’s not 11:42 and ye won’t answer the phone it’s a complete joke over two hours and the food is no where to be seen and absolute joke keep hanging up the phone

06/12/2025: What used to be a good local Chinese has deteriorated hugely under new management. Shockingly bad food. Tasteless and cardboard like. If you order at the counter your food arrives immediately. No effort being made at all. They couldn’t even be bothered seasoning the tasteless chips. 20/11/2025: Delivery times are awful, be prepared to wait 2 hours and receive cold food.

13/09/2025: Guys ! Don't waste your money and time This was the worst pizza ive ordered so far, pizza is disgusting, arrived cold too nothing is fresh , garlic bread taste like cardboard and fries just a big NO! I want my money back what a waste
