The best restaurants in Cork city council

17/07/2025: I got the big arch here on Monday and it was definitely the best burger I had from McDonald’s ever. I’m usually a double quarter pounder order but the big arch is next level. I’m planing another visit fairly soon to get another. Oreo McFlurry at the moment is definitely at the top of my list order for 2 😎

22/04/2025: I only had coffee there. The food looked ok. The service was not great, a gentleman in front of me had been waiting 15 minutes and the guy behind the counter did not listen to what he had asked for at all.

10/08/2025: I called this place to complain about food poisoning and they told me to cop on and hung up. I’m quite unhappy with this business as I feel very sick.

14/06/2025: Nos alojamos en el hotel y terminamos comiendo aquí varias veces - cada comida era consistentemente delicioso! Se puede pedir en el restaurante o en el menú del bar, y ambos ofrecen fantásticas opciones. El curry tailandés amarillo era absolutamente fenomenal, rico, sabroso y bellamente equilibrado. El pescado y las patatas fritas estaban perfectamente crujientes, y las patatas fritas fueron algunas de las mejores que hemos tenido. ¿Pero el sobresaliente? La costilla de res irlandesa — tierna, jugosa y babosa — ¡digna! Como alguien que no tiene gluten, me emocionó ver un montón de opciones claramente marcadas sin gluten en los menús principales. La única pequeña desventaja eran los limitados postres sin gluten, pero la calidad de todo lo demás lo compensaba con creces. El servicio fue excepcional en todo momento - amable, profesional y atento. El lugar en sí es cómodo y decorado con buen gusto, por lo que es un gran lugar para relajarse y disfrutar de una comida. Recomiendo encarecidamente si se aloja en el hotel o simplemente en busca de una buena comida en la zona!

03/06/2025: No estábamos listos para lo buena que era esta comida. El trampolín de The Kingsley nos dejó boquiabiertos, con las manos abajo la mejor comida que hemos probado. Declaración audaz, pero nos atenemos a ella. ¿Los sabores? Perfecto. ¿El chapado? Gorgeous. ¿La experiencia? Inolvidable. Volveríamos a Cork solo para comer aquí de nuevo, sin duda. Como vegano y aficionado a la comida sin gluten, estoy acostumbrado a la rutina de “puedes tomar la ensalada”. ¡Pero aquí no! El menú de Springboard estaba claramente etiquetado, súper inclusivo y lleno de opciones que eran realmente emocionantes y deliciosas. Sin compromisos, solo sabor de nivel próximo. El ambiente era elegante sin ser congestionado, con unas vistas preciosas del río Lee que configuraban el escenario perfecto para una cena romántica (o en nuestro caso, una segunda onda de luna de miel 💕). Si tuviéramos una pequeña nota — tomó un poco de esfuerzo llamar la atención de un servidor y las cosas se movieron lentamente a veces. ¿Pero honestamente? La comida era tan ridículamente buena, que no nos importaba. Vale cada segundo. ¿En resumen? El trampolín es imprescindible. Venga por la comida, quédese a disfrutar de la vista y salga soñando con lo que pedirá la próxima vez. Porque confía en nosotros, habrá una próxima vez. ¡Volaríamos de Canadá a Irlanda solo para comer aquí de nuevo!

27/06/2025: First time getting here tasted lovely got chicken curry, took a bite into something hard which didnt look like it should be in it. Took it back over showed it to the man behind the counter very helpful the cooks not very much.The cook said its a shell from seafood which on the menu says no seafood crustaceans. The cook snapped it in half to get rid of what I had as I wanted to keep it as I said. Offered me something else to eat asked for a refund I got that.

24/12/2024: I said that I came to Starbucks yesterday and drank coffee and while drinking it I smelled a bitter and burnt smell in the coffee and now I taste the same burnt coffee. And DAMLA made me a new coffee, it was a coffee without a burnt taste, it was really great, thank you very much. What I mean is, preparing coffee varies from person to person. She know this job. I hope everything goes well.

01/09/2025: I used to love Disco fires from here, one of my favourites but today the chicken was overcooked and also stinky. Chicken was not fresh and felt like it was fried multiple ✖️ . Very disappointed 😭

05/08/2025: Even though we only spent one night there for sightseeing purposes... we found it charming, comfortable, and very hospitable and kind, all the service, Ciro is a very kind person and a great conversationalist... thank you

05/08/2025: The hotel is old, unmaintained, and unclean. The carpets haven't been vacuumed in three days, and I'm not referring to our room, but to the entire hotel, which is carpeted. The smell of damp is terrible and affects your health, as in my case. I'm giving it two stars because I slept in one bed and had a bathroom that wasn't shared. The bathroom tile floor moves when you walk. The electrical system is old and unsafe. We turned on the hairdryer and smoke started coming out, and we cut off the power. I'm not lying when I say this; there are reviews from previous years that are very similar to what we endured. There are two pubs across the street, and the noise is unbearable. The price is VERY HIGH for what the hotel offers; it doesn't even include breakfast. The staff are attentive; they're only at reception.

24/04/2025: Four star pizza at this stage since 90’ is particularly the pizza the election of Cork people. I live in Cork since 2003 and for me is the best pizza, the dough is made everyday the quality of tomato sauce and good cheese of mozzarella and voila it’s all about this 3 ingredients, because the toppings depend of the person but the important part of the pizza it’s the base, it’s all about the base, and I can say with 99% Four Star Pizza they know how to do very well the dough actually they are specialist’s. They know very well, whatever recipe they use and have is 5 stars and I believe is very well kept, and good dough is half away for success it’s almost impossible go wrong with the pizzas because the good taste and flavour always there.

31/08/2025: I was at KFC with my family today, shortly after it opened. Everything was dirty, the tables, the floors; you could stick to everything. The staff were rude and very slow. The food was cold! I will definitely never go back there and I don't recommend this place because of the mess and cold food!

10/08/2025: Delicious chicken dinner at the Hagstravaganza event in Sligo. Tasty, juicy chicken, proper stuffing and lovely seasoning on the chips. Tasted very homely which was a nice surprise for festival food! I'd make a beeline for these folks if I saw them again.

06/07/2025: Drove by this spot quite a few times, but called in yesterday For the first timeand got two pulled chicken Babs .. Absolutely beautiful and would highly recommend..

16/06/2025: I received the delivery from this store. It was not the first time I ordered. This time I received terrible food. The duck was bad and without sauce at all.. The soup was disgusting.. There was a lot of vinegar and it tasted like a rotten lemon. We called, talked about the problem.. We were offered a discount of 5 euros for the next order. We replied that there would be no next order.. And that we will bring this food and return it to them.. We were told that the cook has been working there for 30 years, and that all the food is prepared at once and according to one recipe.. We brought the food back, we got a refund for the food, but they didn't get it back for the delivery.. The evening is ruined, there are hungry 🤷‍♀️

04/03/2025: Terrible, I ordered a lamb kebab with only lettuce and garlic sauce, I talked three times to the attendant, and he in front of me told the boy, and even so they gave me a kebab with all the ingredients, a lot of incompetence. I don't recommend it.

11/02/2025: Good fried chicken restaurant. Alternative for KFC. I would say better than KFC. Unfortunately last time I went to this restaurant they stopped Chicking. Now as an alternative they started pizza and shawarma. And also they sell South Indian dishes. South Indian dishes are the best. Need to try.

19/07/2025: Great little chipper with a lovely woman behind the counter. Had a burger and taco chip, tasty and very generous portions. Also got Fush and chips (Cod) which the others iin my party said were very very good. Will definitely be back!

25/03/2025: I would like to express my gratitude to the lady in O'Reillys fish and chips in Glanmire, who went went above and beyond on Saturday night just gone. I have a medical condition and mobilise with crutches, she offered to bring my phone order out to the car when it was ready,rather than having me struggle. Once again thank you for your kindness, 5* great food, great staff, a credit to the O'Reilly team.

29/08/2025: The food was mediocre for the price, but really good. I can't really recommend the fries, but the burgers were quite good. I can't say anything about the pizzas.
