28/12/2025: Definitely no. Never again. This should just be a take-away if even that. We were using the laundrette across the way so had some food while waiting. Medicore at best. Over priced too and I know prices are going up but this was ridiculous. Toilet smells like damp/mould and toilet doors dont have locks. Lobby area into bathroom smells like cigarettes smoke. Bathroom bi nis covered in rust with the soap balancing on it. Like faulty towers. Do not recommend

25/11/2025: I had the regular brest in the bin meal and I have to say for such a big food chain the chips were very few, a small amount of chips on a little paper bag. I think it may be only this outlet as chips from other hillbillys were a fill little bag and more. Honestly for such a cheap item I can't understand how they get away with serving chips that you could count out. The brest in the bun was nice could have done with a little more sauce. The onion rings were ok batter was a bit oily instead of crispy. Then there is the extra charge for any thing that comes with Coca Cola like a sugar tax. Another sneaky way of hiking up the price of meals. As for he service it was pleasant, quick and professional from the young member of staff. That was about the only positive experience. As for the meal over all it was not value for money.

06/10/2025: Love Hillbillies in general, love the Chicken and gravy in particular, usually its very nice unless chicken is left under the heat lamp to long and drys out. Was in Mahon today and ordered a Burger Meal and 3 Tenders meal, server put me in for a Burger Meal and 3 tenders which I didn't know as still cost 24 euro, but when I highlighted I was missing items server says I only paid for 3 tenders, so to purchase the other items I hadd to pay for separately for the chips, drink and dip which ended up costing me more money than it would of as a meal because the server got the order wrong in the first place.

10/12/2025: Probably best night club in Cork. 2 Levels with different types of music, third level- smoke bar on top. Very good and very very loud as well.

02/11/2025: Awful experience. We had tickets, but the security refused to let us in for no reason. They said one of us was drunk — which was completely false. The way they spoke to us was rude, aggressive, and humiliating. Pure disrespect and discrimination.

23/12/2025: Omg , food is so gross . I'd rather die of starvation than eat here again! Absolutely vile 🤢 🔴 Large Sign outside says Opened Christmas Day !! Very disrespectful to Irish people. I believe you live in a country you should respect tradition. ( I miss Colin old owner )

12/12/2025: Normally a big fan, but tonight the two gentlemen behind the counter were terrible. Unfriendly, trying to charge the girls next to me for whole meals while they were each trying to order individual items.. Super slow. I just don't understand how I can be waiting 25!! Minutes for a wrap with 2 people on front of me. Way below the usual standard... Edit: After getting home and eating the food it was also not as nice as previous visits.. Time spent Vs Quality.. Not coming back. Ever.

07/12/2025: I don't know how they are still open to be honest. Worst kebab I have ever eaten in Cork City (I love kebabs so I have tried pretty much all the kebabs shops in city centre). Chips went to the bin, they were very greasy like they're deep fried in old oil. €16 was way too expensive for what I got, never again. Plus staff at the till had a very rude manner and could barely get his point across with the little English he had (not that it seemed like he wanted to, too).

02/10/2025: Called in earlier on my lunch break mainly to get shelter from the rain. Sound guy suggested doner kebab meal for a tenner, it was lovely and chips and wrap were fresh out. To be honest interior didn’t look the best but the food and service definitely made up for it.

08/02/2026: Good, hot, fresh food! The fish is deep-fried, so it is quite oily, but it’s very crispy, hot, and tastes really good ..especially with the tartar sauce. Definitely worth trying if you want to try Irish fish and chips. Chicken is great .. drumsticks 🍗🤩 I’d say it’s a bit like McDonald’s for burgers .. not exactly local/traditional, but still feels local since they adapt their menu from country to country but way more healthier than them ..

01/12/2025: they seem to have undocumented folk working the counter now so maybe allow a little extra time for ordering and collecting!

28/09/2025: Fancied a doner kebab. Wish I hadn't bothered. Probably the worst I've every had. Very little salad. The meat was warm but very dry. And the pitta bread was hidden under the meat ,uncooked. Will not be back

20/09/2025: Extremely rude staff longer waits stone cold food and soggy wet chips. Told us we would need to wait another hour to get fresh food sent out. Absolutely shocking customer service.

29/12/2025: Got a pizza and it was awful. Tasted horrible only had 2/3 slice before throwing the whole thing away. Felt sick after it. Delivery time was decent though and earlier than expected.

17/12/2025: Food was cold, portions were tiny, taste was average

19/12/2025: Attending regularly with an elderly friend. Today just took the biscuit,so to speak. €20 on absolutely Rubbish food. Tea and coffee just passable. Staff could not be more dismissive or unfriendly. The toasted sandwich was anemic,asking again to be toasted properly and i then needed a fairly good set of teeth. No sorry, no explanation, no please no thank you,and certainly no smile €20 is a lot of money to me,and as it was my turn to pay im absolutely fuming at the money i wasted on way below average toasted ham cheese and onion. For goodness sake ye really need to up your game. FURIOUS 😠

17/12/2025: Don't waste your money or time. the place is an absolute health hazard. dirty floors, pigeons roaming around the floors INSIDE. on top of this, the staff are rude and uninterested. kitchen is visible to the public and its a mess to say the least. The food is stale and cheap but not by price.... 15 euro for a stale sandwich with a drink. the chips I ordered arrived 20 minutes after I got my sandwich when I asked to just get them in a takeaway bag because it took so long the waitress rolled her eyes and came back with them rolled up in brown paper. chips are Tesco home brand from across the street mind you. they have a central lovely location a pity the owner has let it become the disgrace it is.

01/01/2026: After 2 years of ordering from them today they delivered wrong order after almost 2 hours . I didnt mind that maybe they were busy ...i ring them to explain the situation but they said its not their fault and hung up the phone. Welll....last time ordering from this place!
