The best restaurants in Cork city council

15/04/2025: I got the Prawn Udon. Plenty of prawns but too much sauce. Medium size is a bit on the smaller side. Lady at front- super nice but very busy with online orders, so they were turning customers away at 8.10pm( closing is 9pm). If all your meats are halal you should display it! And the boxes should be the ones you can open on both sides and turn into a plate- but that's just an idea.

14/04/2025: Exceptionally tasty food! I would definitely recommend to others! Very kind staff who provided my kids with free ice cream and a fortune cookie 🥠 ! Calm atmosphere and the guy I spoke to over the phone was very polite

04/03/2025: Terrible, I ordered a lamb kebab with only lettuce and garlic sauce, I talked three times to the attendant, and he in front of me told the boy, and even so they gave me a kebab with all the ingredients, a lot of incompetence. I don't recommend it.

11/02/2025: Good fried chicken restaurant. Alternative for KFC. I would say better than KFC. Unfortunately last time I went to this restaurant they stopped Chicking. Now as an alternative they started pizza and shawarma. And also they sell South Indian dishes. South Indian dishes are the best. Need to try.

20/03/2025: The food was quite good but unfortunately the service was really terrible... The starter arrived completely spilled on the tray and the waitress put them back on the plate by hand... then my dish arrived at the same time as the starter so had time to be completely cold and my girlfriend's 10 minutes later... they didn't even arrive at the same time and I don't go to the restaurant with someone to eat out of turn... Plus the waitress barely spoke we couldn't hear her, not politeness...

11/03/2025: It used to be good but today the food was terrible. We ordered chicken katsu curry, the chicken was like chewing gum and uneatable. I called them and they said that it was normal, I don't understand how they can sell stuff like this...no words!!! They were late with the delivery so I think that they warmed up some left overs instead of bringing fresh food. This is only my genuine opinion.

09/04/2025: It's McDonald's, so the food isn't going to provide Cordon bleu, but it's grand, sometimes there's nothing better to satisfy the hunger, service is always good and the staff are really nice, but what I particularly take exception to is the rudeness of the manager, I know she manages the place as she's on that 20 years of mahon point promotional video. She's got a serious attitude problem. I very politely asked her question and she bit my head off, yes she was busy but I'm a customer and I did behave very respectfully but then another day I spotted her walking through the centre from the location and I said hello and she ignored me, now maybe she was still annoyed I had the gall to ask a simple question and bore a grudge. But this is just ignorant. Anyway I love McDonald's. I won't allow her to spoil it.

21/03/2025: If i could give less than a star i would . Went for food after cinema paid for 2 burgers and recive just one witch was falling apart. This is JOKE. Person who served me he knew what i orderd and he saw was with me 2 kids and gave me just for one child food . Joke and discrase of ye . Never again . Big joke ....

27/03/2025: The chicken sandwich was disgusting, cooked chicken with little veggies. I didn't get the chips in my menu. The guy taking my order didn't listen, the music was to loud

22/03/2025: Some man wearing the jewellery of a rich widow served me the most worst sandwich I have ever received from this longstanding establishment. The portion of meat and salad were not done according subways guidelines. Better training for staff members and hygiene standards need to be implemented asap

23/03/2025: Ordered kappa biriyani..not good,oily food with full of bones and not even a single piece of meat.

09/03/2025: No veg options. When asked if there are samosas or vada pao, he said he will need to prepare and didn’t bother. I guess this place is good for non vegetarians and not suitable for vegetarians

11/12/2024: Ordered from here Fri 8.11.24. Took 2 hours to deliver. Food arrived cold. Wrong toppings on the burgers. They were closed by the time the food arrived. Pretty poor. We contacted them highlighting it. No response. Won’t be returning.

23/11/2024: I ordered two burgers from the restaurant on Deliveroo. It arrived a little late because of the storm, but they didn’t give up, and I’m just glad I didn’t cancel! The fries are crunchy, and the burger is fresh and tastes amazing. I will definitely order again and highly recommend.

01/04/2025: My autistic son went up to lady at counter asking for a new toy of his Minecraft character and she responded to him with grow up, how rude honestly what type of people even work there.

30/03/2025: OMG. I never expirienced anything like that before. This is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever been to in my life. I will never, ever go there again. We waited for food for almost one hour! It was dirty and disgusting. As if there was no manager in the restaurant. McDonald's should shut this place down to protect the brand.

14/03/2025: We have ordered a variety of stuff from this menu and it has all been really nice! The lady that normally servws us behind the counter is nice to deal with, and there’s never too long of a wait for the food. Super friendly taking orders over the phone too! Likely to be our regular takeaway.

08/03/2025: This is our 4th and last time ordering from Asia Gourmet. I will not talk about taste or flavors as it is subjective matter. The meat in all four dishes /2 with chicken and 2 with pork/ was mixed pieces of fresh and old. Awful. We had that before, but i was optimist that this was one off and they will not do it again. I was wrong. We all feel sick now. Never again.

07/03/2025: Disappointed with the service here, I ordered a pizza deal for collection and it was wrong. Then returned myself to get the correct one and still gave me another wrong one. After two mistakes and waiting an hour they only wanted to refund the pizza and not the fries. I had to call again to tell them to refund the full amount. They won’t do it through the app so they don’t get a lower rating. Very shocking attitude and experience i used always order when friends are over but not anymore.

02/03/2025: I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Apache Pizza. On 01/03/2025, I placed an order at 9:50 PM and was left waiting for over an hour with no delivery in sight. After this unacceptable delay, I called the restaurant twice to inquire about my order. Instead of providing proper customer service or an explanation, the staff was incredibly rude and confrontational. They showed no concern for the fact that I had been waiting patiently for my food. To make matters worse, my pizza never arrived at all. The combination of excessive wait times, hostile customer service, and ultimately no delivery whatsoever makes this easily the worst food delivery experience I've ever had. I cannot recommend Apache Pizza to anyone and will certainly never order from them again.

22/03/2025: I jad been to this place some time ago and was happily surprised with the food. Went in to taste the chicken sandwiches today, which was lovely but not the quality I had known. Today the service is horrendous; we had to ask for glasses with our cokes, then napkins, and to have our table clean before laying the food. No sides with sandwiches which for the price I would expect. Tables were left with dishes and not always cleaned afterwards. The trays were sticky and filthy. The young man seems to have his head around more than the young girl. The place definitely needs someone extra for the service and cleaning. I will try again in a few weeks if changes have been made.

17/03/2025: We waited 35 minutes for an egg, two toasts and a slice of bacon even though the restaurant wasn't full at all. We paid 14€ for this meager plate with a coffee.In addition, the quality is really poor and the employees are unpleasant. Finally we waited for our dishes and ate them in a cloudy atmosphere. I think the ventilation is broken because there was smoke everywhere, very unpleasant to breathe for so long in that environment

09/01/2025: Precios escandalosos por comidas inferiores a la media. Tuvimos 2 sopas, 2 salmones, 1 tabla de queso del desierto, 2 rjoja, 1 café - 147 euros. El salmón solo para 2 personas era de 74 euros. Comprendía 1 Salmón Darne, una pila de coles de Bruselas cortadas por la mitad y lo que se llamó una patata Fondant, que cuando llegó era una patata asada ligeramente más grande que la media. Siéntate con eso un rato, Salmon Darne de una pescadería de renombre 15 euros máximo por 3! y coles de Bruselas con SALMON!!!! Estoy pensando seriamente en enviar mi propia receta al chef. El Rjoja era de 14 euros por copa... mi invitada se avergonzaría si se hubiera dado cuenta. La sopa estaba sobre especiada hasta el punto de ser inductora de tos y lo único positivo fue la tabla de queso que era sustancial para una porción del desierto y podría haber sido compartida por dos. El servicio y el ambiente en el día era de primera clase, pero mi pueblo Dios el chef te está decepcionando a lo grande. Nunca volveré a comer aquí de nuevo y me quedé horrorizado el día al ver a los grupos de pensionistas todos fuera por lo que obviamente era su regalo de Navidad y pensar que les cobraron los mismos precios!

05/01/2025: Living very near to this hotel, my partner and I have been numerous times over the years to this super restaurant, and it has always been top notch in terms of atmosphere, service, and quality/price ratio. Maybe this evening was an exceptionally low point. All restaurants can have those, I guess. I noticed we were seated at a table with a great view overlooking the city. Next to us, a group of around ten people were celebrating a birthday. So were we. They were not loud or intrusive, but a young child from the party was allowed to run wild around the place, screaming endlessly. It really spoiled the atmosohere noticeably for us and others. Surely, after 7pm, the hotel should restrict young children? The menu was small but well-conceived, with a good choice of meat, fish, and vegetarian options – unlike the 'piped muzak', over which we had no choice at all but to grin and bear it. With screaming kids and tacky music, it gave the place a 'fast food feel.' Not what we expected from previous experiences. We noticed the prices have skyrocketed, too. For two of us eating one course each with one bottle of red wine from Languedoc cost over 120 euro. The location and the hotel are stunning, but has something slipped in the restaurant management department? We suggest a polite notice of a curfew for children, and a ban on music, which, unlike the menu, does not suit all tastes. Politely yours etc...

26/10/2024: I had haddock and it was not pinballed and when I was eating scales were coming directly in my mouth. It was not scaled as well and the quantity was not enough. Very bad experience with haddock. 1/4 and 1/2 pounders are nice.
