The best restaurants in Cork

01/04/2025: Met a friend to get a coffee from Boxt on Bandon road, and on the walk back to campus I realised the coffee I payed 4.50 for was cold. I did not walk back to Boxt to complain as I didn’t have time before my lecture. We were passing the Starbucks when I realised my coffee was cold so I stopped in to ask the staff if they would kindly heat up the coffee I bought from Boxt ( I tried to buy a €2 chocolate bar to show my appreciation for their helpfulness). However, instead of being kind and helpful, they were argumentative and rude at my request. The coffee from this Starbucks is never great, so when they offered to make me a new hot coffee I politely declined as I didn’t want to pay another 4.50 for a bad coffee. I asked if they knew of any microwave on campus I could use to heat up my coffee but I was met with more blunt and rude responses. 25/08/2023: Exquisite pizza, with fresh ingredients and well cooked: as an Italian, nothing to envy of many pizzerias in our country. Recommended!

16/11/2024: Por un precio bajo se obtiene una gran porción de comida muy olvidable. (de una selección bastante regular de platos principales) Por lo demás, el lugar estaba limpio y el servicio bien.

12/05/2024: Chips way over cooked and cold, Fish was no bigger than a gold fish covered in batter.best part of the meal was the curry. Never again after paying nearly 35 euro which mostly went into the bin.

El tocino demasiado cocido y grasiento. Los hongos viscosos. NO había ninguna característica de canje en esta placa y pagué 16 € por ella? Ni siquiera me preguntaron si estaba bien. 16/10/2024: The food and service was top notch The price was good . The restaurant has a beautiful artistic look and I loved the well and the fish down stairs.

03/09/2024: We just drove off the motorway to look for a quick snack. We didn't know then what a lovely surprise awaited us at the Gallery Café. There's a great display of artwork, the place is tastefully decorated and the tables spaced out reasonably well. The waitress was kind and helpful. The food simply delicious! Would definitely go again and would recommend to others.
