15/03/2026: Best vegan meal I’ve had since Cafe My House with chef Briana Kim. I love when places don’t use meat substitutes, even though I do eat them at home fairly often, and focus instead on the vegetables themselves.

01/03/2026: Absolutely gorgeous. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable service, and every course was delicious. I'll remember those pumpkin ravioli for a long time, I think! Natural wine pairings were well-considered, well-explained and beautifully rounded out the meal. We will be coming back!

29/03/2026: Think they really need to change the name as was not very welcome in the bar.was killing time before we went to the airport as had travelled to cork all 5 female decided to go into the bar two had called a drink i entered and was refused over wearing a tracksuit which was easy to travel.in🙄 one more in our group also wore one so we could not be served we even asked if we sat outside with our drink still no explained we wanted to kill time must be making alot of money to refuse 5 people the way things are going

28/03/2026: And you feel welcome, indeed! Tiny cramped place with a nice whiskey selection and very creamy Murphy. One of the few pubs in town that open early in the morning. Check the schedule for live music in the evenings.

22/04/2026: Three friends and I had dinner here and it was absolutely amazing! The blooming flower was perfectly seasoned and the ribs were great aswel! I would like to mention Dorian, he was the most friendly server I’ve met and him and the team worked together seamlessly. Thank you for making our night!

27/03/2026: Nice place for a beer when you are thirsty. Not a crammed pub space. Has a nice patio with a pizza place (Pompeii Pizza), next to the brewery tanks. Different beers on tap. Friendly people.

25/03/2026: It's not a remarkable place, it's a random bar, it does have a good open space, and I think they sometimes have Irish music, but when I went at 8pm it had already finished.

08/04/2026: Been here a good few times over the years and it's gotten worse each time, unfortunately. Good for a bit of live music but unless there's a match there's not much talk going on. Don't know what the deal with the staff is, they seem dry enough. Used to be able to have a nice chat at the bar but those days seem long gone. Would give this place a pass unless you're a fan of the bands.

20/03/2026: thought the name poor relation meant they'd serve you free drink if you said you were poor but alast i had a pint of smithwicks dashed in my face when my peasantries were uncovered.

26/01/2026: Quiet pint and watched some horse racing waiting for wife to finish shopping. Bar staff were grand, chatty and gave some local food recommendations. Lost my bets on the gee gees. Dont tell the Mrs!
