The best restaurants in Cork

12/12/2025: Food was good. Genuinely good smash Burger, nice chips too. Shame about the price. I hadn't been in a while and they raised the prices. €19 for a bacon cheese burger meal + dip is very steep. Probably won't to back for that reason alone. Also it took 40 minutes. It varies a lot. Bear that in mind.

16/09/2025: Very mediocre burger, patties dripping in oil. Didn't feel well after eating it. Chips were alright. The size of a burger tho, quite pathetic. For a place that does only burgers, I expected sth better, while I'd rather go to Burger King next time and get 2 small burgers except one for this price.

06/12/2025: Chips were not cooked, hardly get a takeaway as its so expensive so very disappointed for the kids.

29/11/2025: Ordered from here for delivery. Took over an hour (I live a 5 minute drive away). Food was COLD. Driver wasn't very pleasant, he couldn't take the food from his delivery bag and hand it to me, instead just opened it and stood there whilst I took it out.

25/10/2025: 12 Euro for a toasty made from the cheapest of the cheap packet of ham and even cheaper brown bread. Don't eat here. It's a rip off. Staff are nice though.

14/01/2026: Just got Apache there usually usually get it most weeks absolute disgrace Pakistanis working in there called Food the kebab was absolutely disgusting. It was cold and Meet would remind her out of it. Something out of the freezer. It was disgusting but one order from them ever again and I was a good customer Get rid of the Pakistanis and put in the proper Irish staff. They can understand you as well on the phone.

03/01/2026: We ordered food at 9.35 and did not arrive until 11.15 an hour and 45 minutes later. We understand it was new years but there was no level of communication from the store and I am guessing the phone was taken off the hook because it would not ring for over 45 minutes as we wanted to cancel our order. When the food arrived the pizza was hot but could have been cooked a lot more as it was wet on top, the taco fries were honestly stone cold, they must have been sitting there a long time and the camberet bites were fine. If the order wasn’t leaving the store when I rang I would have cancelled and asked to be refunded. I am so disappointed with the food quality and the amount of time it took as we have used apache a lot over the past year especially for events such as my daughters christening and my sisters day 2 of her wedding. The only positive about the whole experience was the delivery driver, he was so apologetic and friendly. I submitted feedback online but still have not received any contact. Such a pity as it used to be a great takeaway and there are some lovely people working there.

21/11/2025: This food is gorgeous and the staff and the owner are really nice really nice place to get food, will be going back again next time we are in Cork, thanks for making us so welcome, and for looking after my sister who just came out of hospital! Thank you.

23/12/2025: What you see in photo below was described on menu as “Homemade Pavlova”. It was served as a tower, with half a scoop of ice cream in the middle of the two cases. One strawberry, cut in small wedges was the total amount of berries!!! Note: the fresh cream was requested after it was served to make it somewhat appetising but still very dry. Service very slow and it wasn’t very busy on the night. Starters were extremely poor and not reflecting the price. The mains could have been better.

16/06/2025: I received the delivery from this store. It was not the first time I ordered. This time I received terrible food. The duck was bad and without sauce at all.. The soup was disgusting.. There was a lot of vinegar and it tasted like a rotten lemon. We called, talked about the problem.. We were offered a discount of 5 euros for the next order. We replied that there would be no next order.. And that we will bring this food and return it to them.. We were told that the cook has been working there for 30 years, and that all the food is prepared at once and according to one recipe.. We brought the food back, we got a refund for the food, but they didn't get it back for the delivery.. The evening is ruined, there are hungry 🤷‍♀️

17/12/2025: Below average! I was served a doner from a day before (if not older hopefully) with attitude! A shame for Turkish doner restaurants especially in a city like Cork.

14/12/2025: Omg I've eaten in here for years in Dublin Kilkenny etc this was worst service and food tbh food lyingng in the shoot for ages asian girl very nice in fairness kept taking orders not bagging up food while 5 lads in the back looking at her I don't complain tbh but lads come get your house in order simples and my my food was cold and there's more salt ce than taco mince which is disappointing

30/09/2025: Lovely staff in here, especially the man behind the counter most days! So refreshing to have such lovely customer service when popping in to get petrol etc. I hope their hard work is rewarded by maxol as they are a great face for their company.

26/05/2025: Friendly staff always , very kind , very helpful , however I really hope you do something about the entitled ignorant parents who block pumps and wait for their children in your forecourt , unbelievable they refused to move I hope you don't tolerate this

09/01/2026: Came here at 8.30pm on a Friday night and was told no more sittings take away only!!! No wonder people don’t go out for food anymore. I had paid €1.50 for an hour parking previous to coming into the restaurant so ended up getting take away because I had paid to sit and wait. They turned away 5 groups of people who walked in and walked back out when they found out no more sittings take in service (even tho people where still being survived in the restaurant 🙄)

25/01/2026: Food was cold and they got the order wrong. The curry sauce was a bit too thick like jelly.

21/12/2025: I work across in the shopping centre and visit this branch regularly. I made an online order that I was a little bit confused with as the app is a bit restricted in terms of selection, however to my luck, Veronica in store was extremely patient and helpful and helped me with my order. Couldn’t recommend her and this branch enough !!!

13/10/2025: I have been getting Apache (Burgerhut Hollyhill) for a good few years. When the food is good, it's really enjoyable. But the food isn't always good (particularly the chips), and as a consequence, I feel the need, to write a review, in the hope, it will encourage Apache, to make some improvements. When ordering chips from Apache, staff will often serve you chips, that have been lying in the tray, for God only knows how long, mixed in with some freshly cooked chips.. Can I ask Apache management, why serve customers, old cooked chips, mixed in with fresh cooked chips..???? Its a very mean act, and I have to throw these chips in the bin, as they are hard & horrible. Why mix old, hard, precooked chips, that have been lying in the tray, with fresh cooked chips, and then serve them to a customer..?? Customers, should only be served, FRESHLY COOKED CHIPS..!! Can I ask Apache management, why you don't automatically serve your pizza's box's, in a paper bag..? If a customer orders a pizza, they may have to walk for 15 or 20 minutes, to get home. Carrying the pizza box, with no bag, means the Pizza, will lose a lot of heat, and the pizza can be cold, when the customer gets home. Also why don't you automatically serve the donor box, and chicken spice box, in a paper bag..? Again, these food boxes, are cold, by the time a customer walks home. Also the donor & chicken spice box, can leak sauce, which can destroy a car seat (if the customer is driving home) The stout, middle aged, short haired lady, that works in Apache, gets a bad pain, if a customer asks for a bag, to put a pizza box in, or donor/chicken spice box into.. Can I ask Apache management, to please supply, proper fitting, paper bags, and to offer them to customers, who are being served food, served in a box. Its really frustrating, having to continuously ask staff, for a proper fitting paper bag, to carry pizzas and spice boxes home in. I must say, most of the staff, are very obliging, when you ask them for a bag, with the exception, of the stout, middle aged, short haired lady, who always seems, to always have an issue, and an excuse, when a customer asks for a bag. If Apache, could introduce a policy, of not serving old, precooked chips to customers, and sort out the issue of supplying customers, with proper fitting, brown paper bags, to customers ordering food in boxes, (Particularly the issue, the stout, middle aged, short haired lady has, of placing food boxes into a paper bag) I will come back and give an up to date review.
