21/02/2026: I visited Dialogue Cafe in Wilton Shopping Centre on Wednesday. The staff were very nice, but unfortunately, the latte I ordered was extremely bitter, so much so that I couldn’t drink it. It seemed like the coffee filter hadn’t been cleaned properly. Really disappointing.

01/12/2025: I’ve never left a google review before but the chicken in this place was so bad I feel obligated to warn anybody else who tries ordering from here to Stay Away. I got the ginger and spring onion chicken and it was genuinely inedible and cost nearly 13 quid.

28/09/2025: Fancied a doner kebab. Wish I hadn't bothered. Probably the worst I've every had. Very little salad. The meat was warm but very dry. And the pitta bread was hidden under the meat ,uncooked. Will not be back

20/09/2025: Extremely rude staff longer waits stone cold food and soggy wet chips. Told us we would need to wait another hour to get fresh food sent out. Absolutely shocking customer service.

05/04/2026: Found this place half full but lively and quickly grabbed a table grabbed a beer for myself and a drink menu for my wife and they told me they were not allowed to make drinks even though there were 4 guys doing nothing behind the bar. Boss came by so asked him and said they were too busy. 1st time I heard that. Lovely place inside and looks fun. Didn't eat food but it looks good. Just DO NOT COME if you want anything but beer

01/02/2026: The place itself is charming, very well maintained, and the staff were genuinely friendly. We ordered two glasses of wine, one from Chile and one from New Zealand. To my surprise (I’m usually not a fan of Chilean wine), both were really good, and the pours were generous. The waiter was lovely and even brought the bottle over so I could see the name of the wine. Zero complaints there. Also worth mentioning: in January, pints are €4.50, which is a great deal, even though we didn’t try them. I’m giving 3 stars because we came in mainly due to the advertised snack + pint until 9pm. We ordered the loaded fries with truffle and parmesan. As you can see in the photo, despite being a large plate, they’re barely “loaded” at all. They were essentially fries with some parmesan sprinkled on top. Tasty, yes, but calling them “loaded fries” feels misleading. When we asked for a bit more sauce (the one you see in the photo), we were told no because the kitchen was closed. I ended up speaking with the manager to explain that this didn’t feel fair, and it took him literally two minutes to get it — though not without first insisting again that the kitchen was closed and the chefs were already gone. Honestly, charging €9 for fries with a bit of cheese and a small pot of spiced mayo, and then debating over giving a bit more sauce, really detracted from the experience. We weren’t asking for anything to be cooked — just a simple gesture that would have made the experience much more pleasant. Overall, thank you for the service. I can’t say I wouldn’t recommend it — there are definitely good things about the place — but with so many options in Cork, it’s probably not somewhere we’d return to.

19/12/2025: Attending regularly with an elderly friend. Today just took the biscuit,so to speak. €20 on absolutely Rubbish food. Tea and coffee just passable. Staff could not be more dismissive or unfriendly. The toasted sandwich was anemic,asking again to be toasted properly and i then needed a fairly good set of teeth. No sorry, no explanation, no please no thank you,and certainly no smile €20 is a lot of money to me,and as it was my turn to pay im absolutely fuming at the money i wasted on way below average toasted ham cheese and onion. For goodness sake ye really need to up your game. FURIOUS 😠

27/03/2026: My family are regulars and usually the service is great. The ladies there always treat us with such kindness. Today I was served by a man, who I presume is the owner. It was going alright until the card I was using wouldn't accept being tapped and needed to ring to get the pin. All was fine. I turn around to leave and I hear him talk about me before I even have the door fully open... "What was her deal on the phone" as if he was expecting me to magic up the money even though he was right in front of me when I said the words "What is the pin again?" down the phone.

04/01/2026: Very good quality. Order and collection is on time. But, being a takeaway, there is no soace to sit inside.

21/11/2025: Waited 1 and a half hours for a pizza. When I came they said they hadn't received the order, I ordered again and waited an hour they wouldn't even look in my direction and other customers were the same there was 4 people left while I was waiting because they hadn't even been asked what they wanted for 30 min. They told me it was coming out of the oven a few times the last time I got ones attention guess what he said? "1 min sir it's just coming out of the oven" I said that's what you told me 30 min ago and left. 20 min after they ring to say sorry about the delay can you come get your food? 2 hours later my 1 pizza is ready. Disgraceful manor of there staff and cannot register a complaint with four star it's a joke of a company. 0 stars

23/03/2026: We were looking for some food after the cinema and found here. The lady taking the order was really lovely and the food was excellent and very good value. The interior needs some renovation.

30/11/2025: We got €50 food delivered from here tonight. It was genuinely awful. Like truly inedible. The breast of chicken curry was tasteless and paste like with "chicken" with a spongey, disgusting texture. Salt N Pepper chicken was like pork scratchings. Chicken Chow Fan was vile. Slimy and just grim. Thai basil stir fry was terrible. The chips and boiled rice were acceptable.

09/02/2026: Anytime I’ve tried to order from here, delivery would take over an hour despite living nearby. Ordered tonight and after an hour I called the restaurant they reassured me the order was on the way and after another 20 minutes no sign of food, rang restaurant three more times and they wouldn’t pick up.

25/11/2025: I had the regular brest in the bin meal and I have to say for such a big food chain the chips were very few, a small amount of chips on a little paper bag. I think it may be only this outlet as chips from other hillbillys were a fill little bag and more. Honestly for such a cheap item I can't understand how they get away with serving chips that you could count out. The brest in the bun was nice could have done with a little more sauce. The onion rings were ok batter was a bit oily instead of crispy. Then there is the extra charge for any thing that comes with Coca Cola like a sugar tax. Another sneaky way of hiking up the price of meals. As for he service it was pleasant, quick and professional from the young member of staff. That was about the only positive experience. As for the meal over all it was not value for money.

06/10/2025: Love Hillbillies in general, love the Chicken and gravy in particular, usually its very nice unless chicken is left under the heat lamp to long and drys out. Was in Mahon today and ordered a Burger Meal and 3 Tenders meal, server put me in for a Burger Meal and 3 tenders which I didn't know as still cost 24 euro, but when I highlighted I was missing items server says I only paid for 3 tenders, so to purchase the other items I hadd to pay for separately for the chips, drink and dip which ended up costing me more money than it would of as a meal because the server got the order wrong in the first place.

13/10/2025: I have been getting Apache (Burgerhut Hollyhill) for a good few years. When the food is good, it's really enjoyable. But the food isn't always good (particularly the chips), and as a consequence, I feel the need, to write a review, in the hope, it will encourage Apache, to make some improvements. When ordering chips from Apache, staff will often serve you chips, that have been lying in the tray, for God only knows how long, mixed in with some freshly cooked chips.. Can I ask Apache management, why serve customers, old cooked chips, mixed in with fresh cooked chips..???? Its a very mean act, and I have to throw these chips in the bin, as they are hard & horrible. Why mix old, hard, precooked chips, that have been lying in the tray, with fresh cooked chips, and then serve them to a customer..?? Customers, should only be served, FRESHLY COOKED CHIPS..!! Can I ask Apache management, why you don't automatically serve your pizza's box's, in a paper bag..? If a customer orders a pizza, they may have to walk for 15 or 20 minutes, to get home. Carrying the pizza box, with no bag, means the Pizza, will lose a lot of heat, and the pizza can be cold, when the customer gets home. Also why don't you automatically serve the donor box, and chicken spice box, in a paper bag..? Again, these food boxes, are cold, by the time a customer walks home. Also the donor & chicken spice box, can leak sauce, which can destroy a car seat (if the customer is driving home) The stout, middle aged, short haired lady, that works in Apache, gets a bad pain, if a customer asks for a bag, to put a pizza box in, or donor/chicken spice box into.. Can I ask Apache management, to please supply, proper fitting, paper bags, and to offer them to customers, who are being served food, served in a box. Its really frustrating, having to continuously ask staff, for a proper fitting paper bag, to carry pizzas and spice boxes home in. I must say, most of the staff, are very obliging, when you ask them for a bag, with the exception, of the stout, middle aged, short haired lady, who always seems, to always have an issue, and an excuse, when a customer asks for a bag. If Apache, could introduce a policy, of not serving old, precooked chips to customers, and sort out the issue of supplying customers, with proper fitting, brown paper bags, to customers ordering food in boxes, (Particularly the issue, the stout, middle aged, short haired lady has, of placing food boxes into a paper bag) I will come back and give an up to date review.
