01/07/2026: Great pub with huge variety of beers and spirits, food menu is very good too. Fantastic new outdoor area and rooftop terrace. Decor is brilliant too.

16/06/2026: Very sad to see how downhill this place has gone. I used to come here almost daily a few year back and everything was freshly baked and delicious. Today I got two different pastries, both absolutely stale. Coffee was nice and staff were friendly but cannot accept stale pasties incase bakery!

19/07/2026: Great place for breakfast. Portions are good. Mushrooms with the breakfast are very tasty. Decent value for money and I really like the fact that they offer 330ml soft drinks for an extra €2.00 which a lot of places don’t do. Lots of good reasons to support this business

22/05/2026: Just okay. Tried this place on a whim while exploring Cork. The spicy tuna roll was dry and unfortunately not very spicy. And the ahi tuna poke bowl was nothing special. All the items and ingredients seemed like they had been sitting out all day; none of them tasted particularly fresh or flavorful.

03/06/2026: Food was slapped up on the counter, never even bothered to call us ! Girl behind counter was so not bothered Pizza was falling apart and toppings sliding off it. I returned it and asked for another one. Girl at counter mumbled abuse at me and reluctantly said she'd get another one. Chicken nuggets had a strange after taste. Counter at the tills was filthy. I won't be attending here . The north main street one is 100% better

15/07/2026: If you are looking for a place to have excellent coffee and spend a relaxing afternoon, Alchemy Café is a great choice. Located in Marina Market in Cork, this café offers a wide range of coffees, teas and cakes. During the summer, they also offer a menu of iced teas and matcha drinks, which are perfect to cool down during a heat wave. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the authentic decoration and, above all, the excellent customer service. The staff are kind and create a welcoming atmosphere in the café. I decided to order a green iced tea, which came with a slice of lemon, and a piece of banana bread; I could not have made a better choice. The iced tea was refreshing and perfectly balanced in sweetness, and I have no words to describe how delicious the banana bread was. Despite this, my only complaint was that the tea came with too much ice. However, next time I will simply ask for less ice, as this was only a minor issue. Overall, this place is amazing and is a lovely choice for a day off or spending time with friends. Whether you are a coffee lover or simply looking for a relaxing place in Cork, Alchemy Café is definitely worth a visit.

14/06/2026: The staff here were very welcoming and professional! Our food and dessert came out quickly and were delicious. Junior went above and beyond, making us some lovely coffees to go with dessert. Junior’s service and the restaurant as a whole were spot-on, high recommend!

14/03/2026: Hopefully I just caught someone on a bad day... I searched online for shops that sell postage stamps in ballincollig, and this maxol garage popped up. I took a picture of the petrol price sign on my way in. As I was waiting in line, a member of staff approached me and asked me to delete the photo of the maxol sign, and leave the premises. (Apparently photos taken on the premises are illegal and should not be shared online - I wonder how photos appeared here on Maps) Extremely hostile, refused to serve me and still not sure if they sell postage stamps. Fortunately Ballincollig has many other service stations that serve with with a smile and a helping hand. I hope this lady learns to treat customers with a little more care and understanding

25/02/2026: Centrally located, plenty of deli food choices, staff are fine. Can be very busy and so, parking can be a challenge.

09/07/2026: My experience was unfortunately not positive. I placed an order through Too Good To Go and arrived at the store about 12 minutes before 7:30 PM. The pickup time had already been announced on the app, but the attendant didn't even look at me and, quite rudely, simply said that pickup would be at 7:30 PM. What bothered me most wasn't waiting a few minutes, but the way I was treated. Too Good To Go is an official partner of the store, and customers shouldn't be treated with disregard for using this service. If the staff disagrees with how the partnership works, that's a matter between the company and the app, not with those who are following the stated rules. Furthermore, I didn't think the contents of the bag offered good value for money. Based on my experience, I wouldn't buy from Too Good To Go again at this location. I hope the store invests in a more cordial and welcoming service for all customers, regardless of how they make their purchase.

24/06/2026: As I always do when I’m in the marina market, I come to Poulet Vous. The food that we were served yesterday was absolutely horrid. The chicken was burnt, not only could you tell by looking at it but the smell was a rancid burnt smell. The kimchi slaw is not what it used to be, are you rationing the sauce? Must’ve had 2 teaspoons worth in my box. The service is non existent, it’s a petty what do you want, no customer service. Used to be so excited to come here. Unfortunately never again will I get food here.

10/07/2026: Ordered multiple times never had an issue. This time woman on phone misunderstood what I was asking for and sent wrong order. Called to clarify and got told its what I asked for. Called again and requested refund as it isn't what I wanted. After talking in the background to someone and clearly hearing someone say "pain in the hole", she came back to the phone and told me they won't be refunding me and won't take it back as it'll just be thrown away. She was ratty and brash with everything she said and on the verge of arguing with me. Did some small checking up regarding consumer rights, called back a final time nice as pie still and apologising for this confusion all in all, but explaining that the responsibility is the resteraunt as they have multiple meal deals of the same price with the same ingredients and that's what lead to the confusion. Here I was basically told to f off. She was snapping down the phone telling me she doesn't care and its not their problem. Repeat customer. Always tipped. Always says please and thank you. One small misunderstanding by the woman taking orders and I'm treated like dirt. The food is good, but that good taste wears quickly when they send you the wrong thing and then treat you like scum for trying to work with them to fix the order. Dont support. No longer recommended. Genuinely treated horrible. 09/07/2026
