28/02/2026: Honestly, after reading the reviews for this place, I thought I'd just sit down for a few minutes while I waited for my partner. I ordered a hot chocolate, the worst I've ever had. Terrible customer service. I put money in the tips, said goodbye and thank you... the girl turned her back on me and didn't even answer. I didn't like it at all. I work in a cafe, and being nice to people doesn't cost anything.

16/02/2026: Always go here for breakfast wherever I'm in Cork. Great chips and sausages. Nice prices too and the staff is lovely

29/04/2025: Just had a delivery from Pizza Daddy. We had the fried chicken kebab, chicken tikka kebab, taco fries and a burger. Extremely happy with the food and quality. Fast delivery through Just Eat, and a loyalty card system with Pizza Daddy through just eat! Love loyalty systems! We will definitely buy again, not just because of the loyalty program, but the brilliant food. Thanks Pizza Daddy.

23/07/2025: Got served elastic and rubbery chicken. curry was just fine. Atmosphere is not hygienic at all and so does the food. Would never recommend.

07/09/2025: I’ve been to Golden Bites today, the new shop on Washington Street, with my young son. We were warmly welcomed, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and aesthetically nice. However, I do have some concerns. When placing my order, I made it very clear that my cappuccino should be made with oat milk (for health reasons I cannot consume dairy). Unfortunately, I received a cappuccino with regular milk. I didn’t complain at the time because I’m not the type of person who likes to create conflict at an establishment, but I mentioned twice at the counter that it should be with oat milk. Another point: I’m not sure if I was charged for two portions of grilled buttered bread since I received four slices, but I only ordered one portion, which I believe should be two slices. I also wasn’t given a receipt, so I couldn’t verify the charge. Once again, the environment is very pleasant, and the staff was kind and attentive. However, we have already experienced issues with delivery orders in the past — missing items, wrong orders, etc. I expected that visiting in person would be different, but unfortunately, the same kind of issues happened. This makes it a little difficult to want to return. I truly hope this is just something temporary due to the new location

31/03/2025: I wasn't very happy because when I ordered I paid extra for meat.I got two corners of prons for €4 I will never go to you, they are robbing you of your food. I'm not alone, my friend, you want to complain about not enough meat?

04/01/2026: I visited this Starbucks on Opera Lane today hoping to order a Toffee Nut Latte, but it wasn’t available and the alternative options I asked for were also unavailable. I eventually ordered a regular latte. While waiting, I overheard some of the staff talking loudly about customers just ordering lattes now that other drinks weren’t available, which felt uncomfortable and a bit unprofessional. Unfortunately, the latte itself was extremely bitter and unpleasant — it was basically impossible to drink. It tasted as if the filter or machine hadn’t been properly changed or cleaned, which was very disappointing considering I paid €5 for it.

22/12/2025: Today I had a very disappointing experience at this Starbucks in Cork. I visited with my nephew. He ordered a medium hot chocolate (no cream), and I ordered a grande cold brew with no ice. The total for both drinks came to around €10, which ultimately was a complete waste as neither drink was consumed. From the moment we entered, there were issues. We waited several minutes while three staff members spoke among themselves with a customer who was clearly struggling to communicate, as none of the staff appeared to understand English. The customer became frustrated and left without completing her purchase. When it was our turn, ordering was extremely difficult due to language barriers. I had to repeatedly and slowly explain “no ice,” yet my cold brew still arrived with ice. The cup was also labeled with the wrong name, so we didn’t realize the order was ours at first. When I asked for the ice to be removed, staff poured half the drink down the sink and topped it up with water, which is completely unacceptable. Cold brew should be remade correctly, not diluted. When I requested it be remade, it caused confusion and drew attention from other customers. What happened next was the most concerning part: staff took a pre-made cup of iced coffee from a refrigerator located at floor level, picked it up from near foot height, and poured it into my cup. This coffee appeared uncovered and previously prepared. From a food safety standpoint, this felt extremely unhygienic. At one point, even another customer commented that the water being used looked dirty, to which staff replied that there had already been coffee in the cup—raising serious concerns about reused cups and cross-contamination. I did not feel safe drinking the coffee and threw it away. My nephew also discarded his hot chocolate, as it tasted like sweetened water rather than an actual hot chocolate. Overall, this experience showed a severe lack of professionalism, poor communication, and troubling food handling practices. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

28/12/2025: Staff was very unhelpful and rude getting our orders wrong when there was only us and 2 other tables in the restaurant . Food was very good but we found charcoal in one of our burgers and the sauces available were very watery. Nando’s is cheaper and way better

08/12/2025: I was there on Saturday, we placed our order, and the service was terrible. The food was getting cold when it was ready, and there was only one server to serve and clean tables, and she preferred cleaning tables to bringing the orders. Besides the delay, when she finally brought it, she didn't bring everything at once; I had to ask twice for the rest and the soda. The food is still wonderful, but the service has declined.

16/12/2025: Very disappointing outcome to this place. I had high hopes given the name & reviews..... But what it appears is that the place has been taken over, kept the name but taken all the smoked food off the menu. Rather than sample what is on the menu (what appears to be a basic attempt at smoked/ pit food..... Without the smoked/ pit food) I took my business elsewhere to avoid further disappointment.

09/01/2026: Really? Is, 21st century and is 2020s and those obselete services like Internet coffees in Cork still exist? Is embarrassment of country those seetvices when in the world kids don't even know what is Internet services that most gone in 2000s did I just time travel? Common nobody needs if anyone doesn't have in 2026 Internet access are libraries cheaper services for but keep an outdated infrastructure is no longer making sense

25/12/2025: My experience is based on using computer for printing and Ive waited some time to be attended by a staff which does not say any kind word, a "good morning" or even a smile which is a minimum request to get a job when dealing with customers. Besides some customers who arriver after me were helped first. Anyway who cares about company reputation at all...

23/04/2025: Very well known pub, I have been a few times for a couple pints of Murphy’s and I was delighted myself, is a pub with his own loyal customers and every week with live music I always remember this pub here in cork and looks like is a pub to be here for many years to come I hope so.

25/11/2025: Seems expensive for loaded fries but personally I think it’s great value considering it’s all fresh and keeps you so full and very generous with the meat portion also something different to your average chips place with its funky flavours highly recommend

13/02/2026: First off, the fries reek of bad oil. The fried chicken is tasteless and way too gamy for a fried chicken. Moreover, the value to money is the worst. I spent 23 euros there, and threw most of it in the bin. I have been awfully disappointed by the halal food in Cork.. 🥲

05/02/2026: These guys don't realise that chips need to be seasoned right out of the fryer or the salt and vinegar will not penetrate. Instead they give you unseasoned chips all wrapped up and going cold, with a few sachets of salt in the package and no vinegar at all. These flavour-free chips were also slightly undercooked, with several a bit firm in the middle. The coating of the southern-fried chicken was lacklustre and the meat of the chicken tasted really "grey" and cheap. Either these guys don't know what traditional take-away fare is supposed to be like, or they don't care.

08/12/2025: Lovely stay, staff was super! I think that this is good value for money and hotel is located very centrally. Situated next to the road but didn’t hear anything using earplugs. Rooms are small and dated but the staff was super and room was very clean and comfortable. Car park is very tiny and it took me good 10 minutes to get out in the morning.

31/08/2025: I understand this is only a 3-star hotel, but they barely meet the standards of a motel. Super rundown beyond the lobby (not just old). Housekeeping is excellent considering they can only do so much. Desk staff were polite, though they lacked initiative and weren’t particularly helpful. First thing you’ll notice is the old musty smell and paper-thin walls. The guest next door woke me up using the bathroom. I even heard the clicking of him texting before his shower. Thankfully, I was on the top floor. Several advertised “amenities” were misleading and missing. They had like five parking spots in their “lot,” so you are expected to pay for parking down the street. Unable to provide a charging adapter as agreed, but sold me a used charger for $10 USD. The room itself could barely hold a double bed and offered no basic necessities besides the watered-down soap pump on the wall. Guests are also not permitted to have a friend wait in the room. They have to wait outside, which feels unnecessarily restrictive. $185 USD (discounted through booking online) for a 10hr stay, I at least expected a complimentary bottle of water or a room that didn’t reek of the 50s. I hate how negative this review is, but this hotel only aims to take every penny they can. Charging me for a used charger (visible scuffs on the metal) when all I needed was an adapter? Did another guest leave that behind? Save the “thanks” comment for the next review. It’s nonchalant and directly shows that you don’t care. Yes, it’s a business, but do better.

08/01/2026: Probably the worst Supermac’s in Ireland. Staff is friendly however the quality of the food and the quality control are a let down.

24/07/2025: The coffee here is very good, along with some very good snacks. Although everything is very good – breakfast, lunch, and snacks – the competition is very high here in Cork regarding cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you wouldn't see a cafe like this anywhere else, so to speak! Now they're everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe, called Noir, needs to create its own brand, its own specialty, so that people become interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish it the best of luck in its future endeavors.

24/07/2025: Very good coffee is drunk here with some very good snacks, although everything is very good, breakfast, lunch and snacks, the competition is very fierce here in the city of Cork in relation to cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you didn't see a cafe, so to speak!!! Now they are everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe called Noir has to create its brand, its specialty, so that people are interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish you the best of luck in its development.
