The best restaurants in Cork

11/05/2025: This place sells primarily pizza - not much choice if you don't want to eat pizza. Given that pizza is their main offering you would expect them to be amazing ... but they are actually pretty mediocre. As were the pasta options. Server was friendly and helpful.

17/01/2025: Wonderful hotel and management. Well-established communication between the hotel administration and residents. Very tasty and varied food, comfortable living conditions. Also an excellent location within the city, close to bus stops.

30/03/2025: Mi esposo fue a Dino's esta noche a las 7 pm, él puso su orden, 20 minutos después la chica le pidió su orden, dijo que puse mi orden hace 20 minutos, la chica se olvidó de poner su orden, y él la buscó durante 20 minutos, ella le dijo que no podía darle unas patatas fritas grandes de todos modos, ya que se estaba quedando sin patatas fritas, pondré su orden ahora, él dijo que lo dejaré No estoy preparado para esperar otros 20 minutos, ella nunca se disculpó por no poner en su orden y no le importó, no voy a ir a Dino's de nuevo, ya que los estándares han bajado, la comida no era genial en nuestra última visita, fue solo por conveniencia que fuimos esta noche, definitivamente no vamos a ir a Dino's en Douglas de nuevo

24/03/2025: Without knowing that they were closing in 10', me and my husband came for a coffee. We ordered 2 coffees and one cake each. We had just sat down when one of the girls came to us and said that they were closing. I told her that we had just arrived and we had not been informed that they were closing. She didn't let me talk, she just kept on saying "I didn't place your order, we are closed" very disrespectfully. I suggested that it would be nice for the next time to let customers know in advance, and she shouted "we are closed". There are two girls there, one very respectful (blonde girl), the other one wearing glasses was totally disrespectful and incomprehensive.

10/03/2025: Nice ambience and very clean, but the cappuccino was disappointing and tasted of burnt coffee beans. It was quite, but freezing cold.

07/04/2025: I have been a fan of Domino's and have frequently ordered from them since moving to our new home. However, my recent experience on Sunday, April 7th, was extremely disappointing. We placed an order for pizza at 8 PM, and after 45 minutes, the tracker indicated that our pizza was delivered. When I called the restaurant, I was surprised to learn that the driver returned the pizza because it "looked like no one was home." It was concerning that he never came to the door to knock or ring the doorbell, especially since the living room light was on. To make matters worse, the restaurant informed us that the driver’s attempt to contact us failed because of an incorrect phone number entered during the order. I confirmed my correct phone number and asked them to ensure that the driver knocked on the door for the re-delivery. After another 45 minutes without any update, I called again only to be told that the system had mistakenly reverted to a previous address. I found it strange that the driver went to the wrong location after just having been to my house earlier, which had "seemed like no one was at home." Neither he nor the restaurant contacted me to explain. By this point, it was nearly two hours after our original order, and when offered a third attempt for delivery, I politely declined and requested a refund instead. I was then informed it would take 4 to 5 business days to process. Overall, we are out €50 and without our meal, and the lack of communication and follow-up left a bad impression on us. It’s unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed the food prior to this experience. Based on this incident, I doubt we will be returning. I hope management addresses these issues to improve service and communication in the future.

17/03/2025: Pizza sauce is not fresh , olives had pits in it ( hard surprise on my teeth ) ended up with toothache rest of the night

21/03/2025: Where have Sicilian Delights been all my life! Went to the Marina Market yesterday and asked for a Takeaway Lasagna. The lovely lady behind the counter packaged it all up for me. Gave me extra sauce in a cup and cheese with the reheating instructions on top - it was beyond divine and I'm a lasagna woman anywhere I see it (I'm on par with Garfield). It was so beyond my expectations - I'll be back for more every time when I'm in Cork every few weeks. The chef needs a pay rise for that quality of food!

01/02/2025: The pasta was great here before they changed the menu. They have now upped the prices from €9 to €13 & reduced the portions. It is no longer fresh and now they serve a reheated pasta bake. Very disappointed 😞😞😞

22/04/2025: I recently visited the pub, and I was genuinely impressed. Lee a man of many talents waiter, barman, and chef and somehow excels at them all. His warm hospitality, quick service, and absolutely delicious food made the experience unforgettable. The aquarium, in particular, adds a unique and calming touch it’s not something you’d expect in a pub, but it works beautifully. The only down side to the night was when he seduced my wife into the kitchen and done her but he put on an episode of family guy for me to watch while I was waiting thought that was proper sound. Would highly recommend

02/01/2025: Wife and I were out for the night, she was all dressed up and hoping to get ploughed. Found this fine establishment but unfortunately, Lee got there first. The wife got rode red raw in the cleanest jax she said she's ever seen. Enjoyed the nachos but I had to take two stars off because the telly showed the Irish lad getting kicked out of the darts and it was awful noisy in the place. Could have done with some live music. It was hard going alternating between the racket from the kitchen, the bathroom and the wife. Lee is some man, gave me a commemorative singing fish to take home.
