The best restaurants in Cork

19/05/2026: We were in Cork for just two nights and discovered this bar on our first night and we are glad we did. The owner, Barry I believe his name is has a very friendly tone and was very talkative and friendly to us. The bar has a strong following among locals all of which are very kind. Coming from the USA we felt very welcomed and the Murphys & Beamish was great as well. It’s definitely a place I can recommend.

08/02/2026: Went in there about 5.30pm on 7th February, a Saturday. I stood at the bar with my card in my hand attempting to make eye contact with one of the two men behind the bar for 15 minutes while others around and even next to me were served. I'm unsure why I was studiously ignored. In the end I left without purchasing a drink. My daughter had been collecting our bags from the car which was in Carrols Quay car park, she had suggested I have a drink and a sit down while she did this, and she couldn't quite believe it when she came in and witnessed this behaviour.

16/07/2026: Excellent food and great service! The kebab pizza was delicious, with a crispy crust, generous toppings, and plenty of flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and well-seasoned. The portions were generous, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty meal!

09/07/2026: Best kebabs I've had in a while, must try if you are in the Blackpool area!

06/07/2026: Turned up on time to the driving range to rang the pro because he was late and he said he will be there. The fella shows up 15 minutes later and just sits in his car listening to the radio while 10 people are standing at the door waiting for him to open it. We couldn’t even hit any balls because we had to leave because we had a tee time but we would’ve had loads of time if he opened on time. Very disappointing from the pro he should be ashamed of himself.

06/07/2026: Got there at 10:20,rang the pro he said he would be there to open the range at 10:30.He got there at 10:43 and stayed in the car looking at the 10people standing outside his door.In my opinion really poor service.This is unacceptable and will definitely not be coming back here again.Cash only as well for the range in this day and age.Short game and putting green were poor as well because the putting green was just a fringe.

02/06/2026: The place seems nice, but 2.20 euros for a black and white print is unbelievable. I went to print a label, was in a rush, and didn't check the price on the machine. When I looked at my card, instead of 20 or 30 cents, I saw 2.20. I went back, and another guy told me that was the actual price, even though I simply sent an email with one label. Anywhere else you pay 40 cents max for a print. I don't recommend it.

19/07/2026: Fresh food, great value, and friendly service! I went around lunch time and got 2 meals worth of food for only 10 euro! I stayed behind after to chat with the only employee working that day and ended up having a great conversation with him! Would recommend :)

11/07/2026: I don't understand the bad reviews. It's my first time ordering from here (through a 3rd party delivery app.), Best chicken kebab I ever had. Everything was so fresh and good quality. The naan was so light and tasty and toasted to perfection. The chicken was fresh, moist and lovely. Sauces are tasty and delicious. All the veggies felt as fresh as if I have made it at home. I also ordered garlic and cheese fries, which had real cheese and a very tasty garlic sauce. Potatoes were very good quality, fresh, medium to chunky thickness, no floury taste. I wil definitely order again, this food hits all the checkboxes for me. Thank you for the team at Ali Baba - this was such a great culinary experience!

29/05/2026: I've only had an espresso twice, and it wasn't good coffee, nor was it well made. I might go back because the place is very comfortable both inside and on the terrace, but I won't be having coffee. The service depends on who's working.

12/06/2026: Lovely garden store. Admittedly I mainly popped in for a cuppa as it was so close to home. The coffees and croissants are great. The meals on offer include light snacks and breakfast and lunch options, which look really great also. I brought my dog with me, however Dwyers do prefer that you only bring assistance dogs. I hope one day all dogs will be welcome. With their clientele being an older population each time I've visited, I know that many patrons would love to see dogs visit too. Maybe there could be a seperate entrance and exit point for the dogs 🥰 Thank you Dwyers for all the great coffees and chats ♥️

24/06/2026: I had a really disappointing experience here. I went in for a solo meal, but they refused to let me order just starters—I was told I had to order a main course and a drink. Since I was alone, I couldn't manage a full meal, and the staff were quite rude about it. I ended up leaving without eating. Not a welcoming place if you're dining alone

01/06/2026: Worst spice bag in cork. Minuscule portions and dry ingredients, containing little to no chicken. No quality control in kitchen clearly. Avoid , avoid , avoid.

09/06/2026: This is my local restaurant and I love the food. It is also to be recommended for tourists in that it’s great food snd the Castletownsend pub (sports/music) bar is next door

11/04/2026: I had two maki rolls from here and it was so clear that the sushi had not been freshly made. The rice was so dry and hard as to be crunchy. The fish was decent, but the rice was so bad it ruined the rolls. And it’s expensive for the low quality. There are many other good restaurants in Marina Market. Don’t waste your cash.

28/02/2026: Absolute Lifesaver for a Kids' Birthday! We ordered from 4 Star Pizza Wilton for a kids' birthday party recently, and we are honestly overwhelmed by how great the experience was. The Quality & Taste: The pizzas were fresh, hot, and delicious. Usually, party food can feel rushed, but these were perfect. Kid-Approved: The Margarita pizza was the undisputed star of the show. The kids absolutely loved it—not a single slice was left behind! Lightning Fast Delivery: When you have a house full of hungry kids, timing is everything. The delivery was incredibly prompt, arriving exactly when we needed it. If you’re hosting an event or just want a top-tier pizza night, I can’t recommend the Wilton team enough. 19/07/2026: I had a very disappointing experience at this Costa Coffee. There were two female employees serving us. One had tattoos and piercings with brown hair, and the other was slightly taller with bangs. My friend and I ordered our drinks in English, but we were speaking Russian to each other, as that is simply the language we were using in our private conversation. Later, my friend asked for the toilet code in English, and after she was given the code, I told my friend in Russian that I was going to the restroom. At that moment, both employees started laughing to each other in a way that clearly felt like they were mocking me for speaking Russian. It was disrespectful, unprofessional, and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I came back from the restroom, we also had to look for our order ourselves because, unlike other customers, our drinks were never called out when they were ready. I believe everyone has the right to speak whatever language they choose in a private conversation. I am Latvian and can speak Latvian, English, and Russian. We communicated with the staff in English, so there was absolutely no reason to mock us for speaking another language between ourselves. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and reminds their staff to treat every customer with respect, regardless of the language they speak.
