12/08/2025: + Clean rooms + Good breakfast buffet + Staff - No A/C in rooms - Homeless shelter beside the hotel, area is very rough. Didn't feel safe.

12/08/2025: Good location in Cork; but be careful, the rooms on the courtyard side overlook an alley where there is a homeless center; so lots of junkies in the street at night yelling and insulting each other!

08/07/2025: JJ Walshs pub nothing to write home about we went in for a few pints of Guinness as usual pints just ok but €6.20 was the most expensive pint we came across in Cork infact the dearest in lreland and we have been to many.Not much of an atmosphere few bits and pieces in Michael Collins all and all would not be rushing back.

15/06/2025: A wide variety of beers and other drinks. We sought it out for the live music, and it didn't disappoint. We'll definitely be back.

24/07/2024: Nice pub. Good atmosphere. Service was pretty slow, but there was a birthday party so I'm willing to believe that was the reason. The problem for me was the lack of vegetarian options: the only vegetarian options were a plate of pesto pasta and 2 pizzas. As an Italian visiting Ireland, I'm not going to a "traditional Irish pub" to eat Italian food. I expected at least one slightly typical vegetarian option (even a burger would have made it tbh). My boyfriend's stew was excellent though. Fair prices for a fancy Irish pub. Big extra point for the desserts which were excellent.

12/08/2025: We dined at the restaurant this week and one of the orders was an Irish Beef Burger. Honestly, I couldn’t finish it and without a doubt, it’s among the worst burgers I’ve ever had in my life. And I’ve tried many. The burger had a dreadful texture, tasted like old, frozen meat, and to top it off, it was expensive. Far too expensive for something so poor. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but I believe it’s necessary for the manager, along with the chef, to experience a proper, freshly made burger somewhere decent and be honest with themselves about whether it’s truly worth serving such a dreadful product. The restaurant itself is very comfortable, the pint was cold, the chips were perfectly fried, the salad was delicious, my partner’s dish was also good, and all the staff were impeccable and genuinely lovely. And then… you serve this? From the bottom of my heart, I truly hope you find a better supplier for your burgers, or make your own which is one of the simplest things to prepare, and can even be frozen properly to make life easier for the kitchen. Please, reconsider this aspect and then, everything would be worthy of 5 stars.

04/06/2025: Visited the English market and wanted a sandwich, we chose the sandwich stall and we both would rate our sandwiches very highly. My partner had the spicy beef and I had the mozzarella and sun dried tomato. Sandwiches are pricey but worth it as portion size is massive and you can tell quality ingredients are used.

07/07/2025: Staff were grand but I asked for a matcha to go and was charged a euro extra than what was on the menu. They should say why they charge extra anyways the matcha is just sweet green milk. For 7.25€ i expected a really good matcha but instead I was really disappointed. Womp. Don’t get the matcha

07/06/2025: The restaurant is a nice setting off the lobby of hotel. I didn't think the food was anything special, but the service provided by the staff was excellent.

26/05/2025: Beautiful restaurant, staff are warm and attentive. Lunch menu is small but perfectly formed, covers lighter bites and a more substantial meal. The stuffed chicken breast was 11/10. Lovely for a group catch up or solo dining. I will be back!
