The best restaurants in Cork

17/07/2025: The worst, by a country mile, of any take away I've ever come across world wide!!!!! Waited oner 1.2 hours for Delivery even though we were 500m from the restaurant. Food was cold and soggy and tasted like crap!!!! Chicken balls the size of marbles.... STAY AWAY... Now I have to cook something else because I'm starving...

06/06/2025: Got different dishes over last month and all were delicious. The chicken fried rice was exceptional.

22/07/2025: Jumped up three star hotel. Premium extra for parking, premium extra for access to jacuzzi/spa area. Complimentary access to below par typical hotel gym. Decor is nice, staff are mostly nice. Absolutely extortionate prices for the facilities. Rooms are nice but not worth the price. You would be better off in a Maldron for location and come to the bar here if you really want.

21/07/2025: I came here with an Amercian family managing their tour, they were so lucky to experience such a wonderful hotel. It was beautiful and filled with history! The breakfast was cooked to service and the best I've ever received while travelling around managing different groups. The staff were so pleasant also.

16/06/2025: Ristorante tipicamente nord europeo, senza tante apparecchiature, ma con cibo molto buono. Abbiamo mangiato fish&Chips, ben fatto, fritto bene, non unto, ma croccante e leggero. Ottimo anche l'irish coffe. Le porzioni sono abbondanti, tant'è che ci siamo limitati al solo main course, saltando apetizer e dessert. Prezzi nella norma della tipologia di ristorante. Consigliato

27/07/2025: Basic fare , mostly seafood menu, average pricing, friendly staff and bookings probably needed at peak as the restaurant not too big. People with reduced mobility won't have any problems.

15/08/2025: I’ve been going to Roosters for years and it was consistently good however I’ve visited twice in the last month once in Blackpool and once in Douglas and I’ve been so disappointed. In Blackpool I paid for x2 butterfly chicken wraps and only got given singles, we had been waiting so long for the food we didn’t bother complaining. In Douglas yesterday I got a chicken Caesar salad and chips, what was there of the chicken was like rubber it wasn’t edible and they forgot my chips nor did we get offered if we wanted refills. Very disappointing spending 50€ on a meal here and twice I left annoyed.

18/06/2025: I was genuinely shocked by what I witnessed at Gym Plus Cork in Mahon Point during my recent visit. A female member was working out in what was essentially a bikini bra and shorts so short and see-through that her private areas were clearly visible as she walked around and during squats. This level of exposure is completely inappropriate for any public gym, and it created an uncomfortable atmosphere for others, myself included. Even more disturbing was the fact that there were adolescents present at the time. In my view, this goes beyond poor judgement — it amounts to public indecency, and I believe the Gardaí should be made aware. Gym Plus urgently needs to enforce a clear and reasonable dress code to ensure a respectful, safe, and professional environment for all members, including families and young people. This kind of negligence is unacceptable.

22/04/2025: Stopped in for a quiet pint before heading off to a city match, what a delightful little bar. Cosy atmosphere, good beer & friendly staff. What more could you need!

23/02/2025: Great gem not too far off the beaten track. Welcoming with good pints! Darts and pool too.
