12/07/2026: When we arrived it was empty. A very nice guy served us. The service was quick and the pizza was delicious. The only downside was that the waiter was talking to someone and left us a little isolated.
The pizza is delicious. I recommend it.

Deep South
Cork
16/07/2026: Very disappointing experience.
The security staff’s behaviour was unprofessional, and I felt that I was treated differently because of my background, which left me with the impression of discriminatory and racist conduct.
During the incident, I was pushed forcefully in my upper abdomen. Several hours later, I am still experiencing pain from the impact. No visitor should be subjected to this kind of treatment.
Tourism is an important part of many countries’ economies, and visitors deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism - not to feel as though they are being treated like criminals simply because they are from another country.
I sincerely hope the relevant authorities investigate staff conduct, improve training, and ensure that all visitors are treated fairly and respectfully.

French Tacos
Cork
08/07/2025: The worst tiramisu I have ever had. The layer didn't go well. I felt more like eating a dry tiramisu with not properly layered with cream. And the coffee powder sprinkling was so bad. They use the same base for both biscoff and tiramisu.
03/07/2025: Absolutely amazing! Huge portions at a very low price, full of flavour and protein. One sandwich can feed a starving man! Friendly staff and great service in French Tacos– truly impressed. 🌟

Seventy Six on The Mall
Cork
28/09/2025: The Imperial Hotel is a classic Irish hotel with plenty of charm. My room was comfortable and fairly spacious, and I especially liked the bathroom interiors; they had a nice touch of elegance (wish I’d remembered to get a video of them!). 🛁
That said, my room was located in the basement, with a view directly into other rooms, which wasn’t the most inviting. At €220 per night (without breakfast), the value felt a little off for what was offered.
The big plus here is the central location, it’s right in the heart of Cork, making it really easy to explore the city. Overall, a decent stay if location is your top priority, though there are a few trade-offs.

Maureen's
Cork
28/06/2026: I rarely write reviews but I feel I have to. I was in Cork with my partner for the weekend and stayed at the nearby hotel.
Maureen's is a little pub on our way back from city center on John Redmond Street. Access is given after you ring a bell at the door. On Friday evening we tried it and were welcomed by a lovely lady. There were only three other people at the bar. We had a drink, chatted. All fine. Cosy place. Bit of music. Nice decoration. Lovely moment.
This evening we passed by again and saw the door was open. We thought it might be for the week end. My partner suggested to go again tonight. We approached the door and saw they were more busy than yesterday. We were not even given the opportunity to ask for a table. Suddenly a very rude guy with glasses rushed toward me and indicated us the door with his arm. "We are full, the door should have been closed". We retreated outside and he just closed the door brutally without a word.
A "Aw sorry guys, I am afraid we are full tonight" would have been appreciated.
I put two stars as an average between yesterday and today. The way we were treated tonight is an absolute disgrace and it is our only bad experience in Cork.
It is a small secretive pub were you need to be "let in" or connected, except maybe when they are not busy. It is not a commercial pub that welcomes you with open arms.
More a local club house.
Their pub, their choice, but they could be polite and show a minimum of respect.
12/06/2026: A beautiful, little local pub. The owners are super friendly. A really lovely atmosphere and quite different from what you’d normally expect from a pub. Definitely worth a visit.
