21/03/2025: Great place for food and partys

18/03/2025: Tried to block book for a funeral, phone rang out twice, then person that answered sounded drunk, and had to be reminded to take my details. Called next day to confirm, same problem, cancelled and booked with another pub. Just weird, to be honest.

16/01/2025: A flying visit. Great staff and great pint. Friendly locals too.

03/04/2025: A hidden treasure in the city to grab a cup of coffee with a friend. Nestled in amongst the small shops at Winthrop arcade, Cocoa is a fantastic independent coffee shop to support in a Cork City.

08/01/2025: Always meant to visit this café and safe to say it will be the first and last. The café is cramped, tables outside but it's shared with another popular café and it's within a narrow hallway so it's not appealing. Café has an upcharge for dairy alternatives/plant drinks, predatory to those with dietary sensitivities. No toilet facilities on site. They claim their hot chocolates are made with 'real chocolate' but it was powdered chocolate. Gritty after taste and it was nothing special, for the price point we were expecting more. Tables were dirty, with some patrons clearing tables to get a table to sit at. Service staff were busy and were kind enough to bring out our beverages outside the shop as there isn't sufficient space to wait inside.

11/03/2025: Terminó tirando todo lo que no fuera batido en el cubo. La salsa de curry parecía que había sido regurgitada. El conductor no tenía ni idea de dónde ir y tuvimos que ir a buscarlo. No malgastes tu dinero. Debería haber leído las críticas anteriores diciendo lo mismo

30/03/2025: La comida estaba bien, el tiempo de espera era ridículo, ya que estábamos esperando más de 2 horas para que nos sirvieran nuestra comida que pensamos que era nuestra, pero era para una comida familiar diferente. Luego cuando finalmente estábamos recibiendo nuestra comida la camarera derramó el plato de papas fritas de mi hija y luego procedió a recogerlo con sus manos desnudas y ponerlas de nuevo en el plato de mi hija 🤢, en general fue un desastre absoluto, nunca volveré a poner un pie allí, una pena porque era uno de los restaurantes de comida china en corcho, muy muy triste,

30/03/2025: Esperó aprox 10 minutos para una mesa 1 hora 40 minutos para la comida , trajeron otros 3 juegos de cenas a nuestra mesa y se las llevaron ya que estaban equivocados. mal servicio muy decepcionado. salió para el día de la madre fue un fracaso

03/02/2025: Nos sentamos en el restaurante y finalmente nos informaron que el desayuno había terminado. No hay problema con eso, ya que fue nuestra culpa. Nos ofrecieron bollos, sin embargo, 20 minutos después de que los tés y cafés aterrizaran en la mesa, pregunté si los misteriosos bollos se les diría que el chef estaba en un descanso. Chef para galletas? Nos ofrecieron pasteles, que llegaron fríos y tan sobrecocinados / secos para ni siquiera ser apto para el cubo. Finalmente, un platillo de mermelada y unos paquetes de mantequilla fueron entregados a la mesa. Ciertamente no consideraría que tenernos a todos sumergidos en un platillo comunitario de mermelada digno de lo que este hotel está tratando (y fallando) para representarse a sí mismos. Después de otros 10 minutos pagamos por los tés / cafés y nos fuimos, simplemente no había servicio y realmente no hay interés en nuestra costumbre. La gerente se preguntaba por el restaurante totalmente desinteresada en nosotros y observé a uno de los servidores sonarse la nariz y tirar del pañuelo antes de continuar sin lavarse las manos. El personal parecía no estar interesado, los servidores parecían estar totalmente desentrenados y la gerente requería ser instruida sobre lo que es el servicio al cliente. Esta fue mi segunda visita (la primera fue para cenar hace un año que fue igualmente insatisfactoria) no habrá una tercera. Sugeriría que el establecimiento pusiera un esfuerzo similar en el servicio al cliente como han puesto en los terrenos, fue una experiencia escandalosamente insatisfactoria y un esfuerzo amateur para un hotel de este tipo. Todo espectáculo y ninguna sustancia viene a la mente.

23/03/2025: How times have changed. In there this Sat March 22 ,2025 approx 9.00 pm 2 well drunk ladies shouting their heads off cussing and swearing. Staff did nothing. Same ladies smoking vapes which smelled up the place. Staff did nothing. I asked a varmaid about the laws on smoking and vaping in a bar, was told she couldn't smell anything and not to worry.

20/03/2025: We had a few beers, with a DJ and a pleasant atmosphere, with people over 45 years old.

14/11/2024: We were a large group from a Funeral Mass nearby, and unfortunately nobody organised with The Bar owners that we would arrive... But there was No problem" as the owners a husband and wife Team sorted it all out...including producing very nice food ,without any Notice. We Celebrated well and all were Really Satisfied.. I can Really Really Recommend the Mountain bar that provides very Good Music and Entertainment..

16/01/2025: Good place for breakfast. The waitresses were super friendly and made an effort to understand our low level of English. Highly recommended.
